1. Random, automatic reformatting of text boxes by Acrobat DC Pro

   This is clearly a software bug, not an idea.

   When I create a brochure in Acrobat DC, it automatically changes the groupings of text boxes, making it difficult to make future modifications. How do I make it retain the text boxes as I built them? It is less of a problem if it separates a text box into two boxes. It is a big problem when it arbitrarily combines two or more text boxes into one.

   It occurs randomly. On some brochures that I create, they retain the original structure when I open them again for further editing. On others, the next time I use the file, one or more groupings of text boxes have changed. I cannot discern a pattern. All the brochures are similar in design, layout, font, graphics, size, etc.

   In the attached file, you can see 3 such instances. Originally the blue text "All the Power..." was in a text box separate from the list (Whiteboard, etc.). The blue text "All the Security..." was also in a separate text box. For some reason, it was combined with the "End to End..." and "All Meetings..." Originally, the entire line "No Data...to Meetings Deleted" was in a single text box. When I re-opened the file and clicked edit this evening (only saved yeserday), the software had made all of these changes as well as one other on the second page.

   This is clearly a software bug, not an idea.

2. Acrobat Pro DC is running phenomenally slowly using the edit and form field features. We pay a huge subscription for what?

   I am trying to add footers to a form which in Acrobat 11 was very efficient. Since being forced into using DC this capability has become ridiculously slow (15 - 20 secs to add 2 characters). I am using a 64bit 8gb RAM laptop. Paying lots, getting little.

3. E-Signature field favorites

   When filling out forms for e-signature we need a way to favorite our commonly used fields. For example if I need to access signature, print name, and date for all of my documents I should be able to have them in their own section so I don't have to toggle back and forth between sections each time.

4. Even after removing text layer, Acrobat refuses ClearScan OCR because "page contains renderable text."

   Even after I remove the hidden text layer in a PDF, I'm still not able to run an OCR with "ClearScan" (i.e. "Editable Text and Images"). It's strange because the text layer appears to be gone, yet running OCR produces the error "Acrobat could not perform recognition because: page contains renderable text."

5. Extract Highlighted Text into Word or PDF

   Need the ability to extract ONLY the highlighted text and tables to a word or PDF document for easy reference. Students studying will benefit from an abridged version of the PDF to only review highlighted notes from their PDF.

6. Acrobat text-edit comment functionality improvements needed

   Three problems with the new update on Acrobat, all relating to text-edit comments. 1) Underline, strikethrough, replace, and insert are now represented only by arcane symbols in the comment pane. Before, there used to be the actual words "underline", "strikethrough", "replace", or "insert." Such text labels are gone, and they don't even appear with a mouse-over. This is awful. I work a lot with clients who are less familiar with Acrobat comment functionality, and this only makes it less clear for them. Bring back the text labels for the comment pane entries. 2) You know not everyone uses Acrobat in a collaborative fashion on a team of dozens of people, right? I use it one-on-one with clients. I don't need my name in bold next to every comment in the comment pane. It looks silly, especially when I'm the only one making comments for a client. 3) Why on earth are there only two options for the size of the comment pane: hugely open and closed? Why cannot I simply decrease the size of the comment pane by dragging it to the left? I don't need to see my comments in giant size, I do need to see the document I'm reading.

   Please make further improvements based on this feedback.

7. Date of Signing messed up: text size and format.

   I have a major problem with the Date of Signing field.
   Because I work in a regulated industry, all our documents are controlled and therefore must go through an approval process before they can be released. The previous version of esign allowed the text size of the Date of Signing to be controlled with the box size so I could fit the date inside the document field. The new version puts date of a standard size font into the space I designate, regardless of how small/large I make the box. The result is that the date is cut off the end of every Date of Signing. This is a HUGE problem because the year does not show up.
   Also, there's no way to select a default date format: EVERY TIME I put in a Date of Signing, I have to select the US date format because the default is the European format. If I miss one, the date comes up backwards.
   If these things aren't fixed immediately I'll have to find another way to sign my documents because I cannot have the dates screwed up.

8. Allow Text and Shapes (rectangles) to be entered directly into Form in "Edit PDF" rather than forcing the user to use Comments

   The only option to directly enter text surrounded by a shape is in Comments - or go back to square 1 and reimport the document from Word.
   Allow the text entered in Edit PDF to be covered by a shape with optional properties like transparency or colored border and background.

9. Ability to turn off automatic field population

   When creating a Binder that includes the same underlying PDF/pages multiple times, it would be great to be able to turn off the feature that puts the same text into the same fields in each PDF. For example, if someone using my Binder has 3 children named John, Jane and Robert, I'd like the ability to say whether when they fill in John on the first page/pdf, it appears in the 2nd and 3rd pages/pdfs or not, without having to create different underlying PDFs with different field names. 10. Fill & Sign - Send For Signature Bugs for Dropdown Fields

    Major Issues with dropdown functionality when sending for signature.

    To understand what I mean, certain features that work for text fields don't work for Dropdowns.

    Example 1. - When using the Fill & Sign, send for signatures function text fields allow for blank unrequired fields to be sent for signature. Dropdowns do not. You must apply a value for dropdown to not have errors and the value cannot be a simple space.

    Example 2 - When using the Fill & Sign, send for signatures function text field values that are pre-filled for customers are accepted and not editable (unless specifically designated) for customers. However for values pre-filled in Dropdowns for customers the customer receiving the link has the option to change any Dropdown field regardless of it being designated for them to fill.

    These issues pose a huge problem for our business. We require our salesmen to pre-fill the document for customers and then send for signature. Many times on mobile platforms like iPads. Therefore the lock and read only features don't help in these circumstances. They don't have time to deal with changes properties in the "Prepare Form" tool. These options are also too cumbersome for non tech savvy salesmen who need easy documents to work with.

Scaling during printing does not suit me, since the form fields are located in certain coordinates and slide during printing. It is strange that such a function was not done initially.

12. Copying specific text out of a PDF often not possible

    Often if I want to copy just a few paragraphs out of a text, it's not possible because I'm unable to select the few instead Acrobat is selecting all of the text. How is it possible to select and copy just these few paragraphs? Can you make it possible? See attached images.

14. Default browsing top to bottom is not neutral.

    Default browsing method is from past, text roll what was used in churches and squeres for the news and informing new things, laws etc.
    For arabic text bacward and reguar browsing method, horisontal, it can be used mouse too but easyly by arrow keys. Now horisontal and vertical are mixup, it causes disfunktion in brain, when you read a book you say forward but in computer you say down, it doesent make sense because in european culture down is back and up is forward, how we understand things. Past is left and future right, at computer same book is backward: future down like we would be falling, and past up, when in reality past is down underground and we buld top of that to the grond, rare that future would be understood going down throug the ground. Thsi is big problem, philosophical and you have key postion to fix it. Book and computer has to be united now it is chagin our thinking contrary to reality.

15. Form properties does not hold calulations

    It is not an idea, it is a bug.

    When I open two exact same PDF files, one that has been created 2 months ago with formula to insert the current dat, calculate prices and costs, and a freshly created PDF to include the exact same calculations to the exact same named fields, I cannot get one single calculation to stick. Neither when adding them via hand, nor via export and import function. When I go to properties/calculations and user definted calcuations and add the copied text there, click ok enough times thennothing happens. when i look into the field I just edited, the formula is not there anymore.

    What do I do wrong?
    macOS 10.12.6, Acrobat Pro DC 2017.012.20098

17. ORC without ruining text

    Please forward to your designers:

    Your OCR and optimization settings are all guesswork and generally produce counter-intuitive results in terms of image quality and file size.

    Not only are the results counter-intuitive, it seems there is no combination of settings which does not create a fuzzy mess of the text.

    Adobe is incomprehensibly inept at handling its own creation.

18. Change quickly between Selection Tool & Add Text

    Add a shortcut or something, that I could switch between Selection tool and Add text to write down side notes, instead of going through 2 phase which need to press edit first then add text.
    Need a quick switch on that.

20. Bring text to front

    At the moment, I'm trying to mark an X in a box on a form. But, the letter keeps being hidden behind the box. I am trying to bring the letter to the front. Or send the images to the back. But, it's not working. And, in Googling for a solution, I have found complaints on this very topic dating back to at least 2010 (and continuing year after year after year...!) To be clear, if I play around with this particular form, I can find a work around. And I'm guessing I'll find a work around next time, too. But, being able to quickly send what I select to the front should work every time on every form. How in the world is this not a thing in 2023?!!
