Automatic text no longer works
Until today, when I used the add text feature in fill & sign, text would automatically pop up. I use this feature multiple times a day. Now I have to retype the same thing over and over. This is going to cost me lots of time in my day, as I do this about 20 times every single day. Please restore the feature.

ORC without ruining text
Please forward to your designers:
Your OCR and optimization settings are all guesswork and generally produce counter-intuitive results in terms of image quality and file size.
Not only are the results counter-intuitive, it seems there is no combination of settings which does not create a fuzzy mess of the text.
Adobe is incomprehensibly inept at handling its own creation.

Redact deletes random alt text
There is a bug when using redact that deletes random alt text in the pdf when the redactions are applied and saved. I tested with files created on my machine and from a third party. Sometimes I could redact one or two phrases and not have any alt text appear. But the more redactions, the more alt text was lost. Sanitize was OFF. The alt text disappeared randomly- sometimes from a page with redactions, sometimes from pages without. Sometimes only one image on a page lost alt text, sometimes all or none did.

OCR Messing up highlight and free form tool.
Behavior is on Windows 7 | Acrobat Pro XI version 11.0.23
When running OCR (English and Italian) previous drawing markups (Free Form Tool) and highlights are corrupted. Free forms were rotated 90 degrees and translated, while highlights were moved up about 2.5 lines. I attached a word document with screenshots of the behavior. This behavior messed up highlighting work by a professor at Indiana University.

Acrobat PRO 2020 - Running text recognition rotates random pages wrongly
Acrobat PRO 2020 - Running text recognition rotates random pages wrongly
We have testet and confirmed the problem does NOT exist in Adobe Acrobat 2017, but it does happen in Acrobat DC and Acrobat PRO 2020
Due to company security policy we run offline versions of the software with local license verification.
When doing OCR or Text recognition nomatter what we do, it randomly rotate pages during the scanning process. No matter what settings we set.

Saving file not saving after text to curves
I've added new "Custom command" -> Inspect document -> Text to Curves
I've added that Custom Command to Quick tools toolbar.
The idea was that i have one click text to curves button.
After clicking indeed the text changes to curves, BUT when you click save icon, it goes disabled (as if you'd think you saved the file). Yet if you reopen the file the text is text not curves. It only works if you go Save AS and then choose your file once again but it defeats the purpose of having custom command. It's then easier to just add…

Random, automatic reformatting of text boxes by Acrobat DC Pro
This is clearly a software bug, not an idea.
When I create a brochure in Acrobat DC, it automatically changes the groupings of text boxes, making it difficult to make future modifications. How do I make it retain the text boxes as I built them? It is less of a problem if it separates a text box into two boxes. It is a big problem when it arbitrarily combines two or more text boxes into one.
It occurs randomly. On some brochures that I create, they retain the original structure when I open them again for further editing. On others,…

I want to add text over an image many times. Every time I do it, I need to resize the text box. Can't we get the boxes to fit the text?

Need Form Options for "Open Square" and "Open Circle" Radio Button Styles
When adding Radio Buttons on forms, users need options for "Open Square" and "Open Circle" Button Styles. The inside/middle of the button should be transparent, so that users can easily see the text behind their underlying choice. This would simulate users circling a choice with a pencil/marker rather than completely "filling in" the circle or square.
Additionally, it would be nice to be able to change line color and line thickness of the "open circle" or "open square". Currently, users can only change the border color and line thickness of ALL radio buttons, regardless of whether the button is…

Acrobat text-edit comment functionality improvements needed
Three problems with the new update on Acrobat, all relating to text-edit comments. 1) Underline, strikethrough, replace, and insert are now represented only by arcane symbols in the comment pane. Before, there used to be the actual words "underline", "strikethrough", "replace", or "insert." Such text labels are gone, and they don't even appear with a mouse-over. This is awful. I work a lot with clients who are less familiar with Acrobat comment functionality, and this only makes it less clear for them. Bring back the text labels for the comment pane entries. 2) You know not everyone uses Acrobat…

Enable export of images in addition to text from "_response.pdf" file
Please enable the export of images along with text from a "_Response.pdf" file. It now only exports text to .csv files.
Our client will have ~10,000 fillable forms annually that come back with both text filled in, and images attached.
Ideally, the mix of text and images could be exported to an Alteryx database, which can contain text, images, and spatial objects. Extension .yxdb.
Less ideally, any method of extracting the images with a link to the text would be great. Like saving the images in jpg or png format to a local directory, and the text…

Even after removing text layer, Acrobat refuses ClearScan OCR because "page contains renderable text."
Even after I remove the hidden text layer in a PDF, I'm still not able to run an OCR with "ClearScan" (i.e. "Editable Text and Images"). It's strange because the text layer appears to be gone, yet running OCR produces the error "Acrobat could not perform recognition because: page contains renderable text."

Form properties does not hold calulations
It is not an idea, it is a bug.
When I open two exact same PDF files, one that has been created 2 months ago with formula to insert the current dat, calculate prices and costs, and a freshly created PDF to include the exact same calculations to the exact same named fields, I cannot get one single calculation to stick. Neither when adding them via hand, nor via export and import function. When I go to properties/calculations and user definted calcuations and add the copied text there, click ok enough times thennothing happens. when i look into…

Bookmark height and bookmark text size
In Acrobat Pro, reducing the size of the bookmark text also reduced the bookmark height, so more bookmarks were visible at any one time. In Acrobat Pro DC, the bookmark height is fixed at a height that accommodates large text, so reducing the text size doesn't increase the number of visible bookmarks. For example, where I could previously see 57 bookmarks in Acrobat Pro (with small text), I can now only see 40 bookmarks in Acrobat Pro DC.
Having more visible bookmarks makes the bookmark facility more useful. It is easier to find a bookmark, and it is…2 votes -

I need to fix some text inside of a box on a simple scanned PDF, but my cursor will not place itself inside the box to make edits. Why? It used to on this particular PDF. For the past several years all was easy to edit inside of this box, or outlined area. I can edit everything else on the form except what's inside this box area. Help!

Markup tool, Text Callout font size
Adobe can do better with the Markup tool as more people are transitioning to digital. I used to use Bluebeam and mark up drawings for review. I'm using Adobe now and I cannot change the text size inside the Text Callout that I drew. How inconvenience is this?

Default browsing top to bottom is not neutral.
Default browsing method is from past, text roll what was used in churches and squeres for the news and informing new things, laws etc.
For arabic text bacward and reguar browsing method, horisontal, it can be used mouse too but easyly by arrow keys. Now horisontal and vertical are mixup, it causes disfunktion in brain, when you read a book you say forward but in computer you say down, it doesent make sense because in european culture down is back and up is forward, how we understand things. Past is left and future right, at computer same book…2 votesDue to lack of clarity we are closing this.

Disable Automatic Field Detection when requesting signatures
There needs to be a User-level Option in the Acrobat Pro DC settings that enables a user to turn off Automatic Field Detection (AFD) when using the Acrobat DC Pro Request Signatures feature. Or add an additional dialogue box asking for AFD when the flow is initiated. It is very annoying when the new UI version auto populates fillable fields in a PDF when all you want to do is apply a signature box. This should be an option for those wanting to create a fillable form versus those that just need a PDF signed.
