  1. The new user interface isn't better than the existing one. I don't see a reason to combine the Select and Pan into one. Moving them to the side is counter intuitive. This is the desktop version where the large majority of programs have menu items across the top. Moving them to the side seems like a phone consideration.

  2. New Acrobat GUI with controls on left > Scan & OCR > Correct recognized text > previously could begin typing into "Recognized as" field. Now have to click into field before beginning typing. And previously could hit "Enter" to Accept but now have to click on Accept. New GUI is much more time consuming having to use mouse. Please return putting keyboard entry control into first character of "Recognized as" field and allow Enter key to do "Accept". Thanks.

  3. I'd like the option to crop multiple pages in one go instead of individually. e.g. Document with non-print marks. Instead of creating separate PDF with InDesign or other desktop publisher, I'd like to crop all the pages in one go.

  4. Please go back to beter icons in Acrobat.
    The icons now are so bad that you have to search for it, it is only for the new icons in the new version. The icons on the upper top bar are good.

    Most icons are gone and the icon are spread to the left and right.
    It is almost of it is the new Acrobat is made for a tablet or small screen.

    But on our 40" WUHD (5120 x 2160) the mouse makes extra miles/kilometers.

  6. The highlighter tool is horrible. Sometimes it recognizes text, sometimes it doesn't. I personally want to be able to freehand highlight whenever I want, and be able to switch to text highlight if i decide to. Instead, it just chooses for me and there is no way to fix it. In the google chrome extension it works, theres an option, but on the actual desktop app there is no option. That is insane and ridiculous.

  7. Any time I am foolish enough to move my mouse near the bottom of an Adobe document, a little bar that says "ask AI assistant" comes up. Often, it takes some time to make it go away again.
    If I wanted to find an AI assistant, I wouldn't be looking by putting my mouse near the bottom of the page. If you must have such a doodad, put it in the menu structure with everything else so that it isn't in my way.
    Also, help information about how to get rid of "features" like this is difficult to use because…

  8. Overnight, a giant Search bar has appeared in the top right corner of the app, next to the feedback and other useless buttons, taking up very valuable screen real estate. The number of tabs I can see is literally half of what it was. Give us the option to remove this!

  9. Recreate Bug:
    -Select Comment tools
    -Select Drawing tools -> Text callout -> create a callout box
    -Type any text and then click away. The comment pane will show the corresponding text for the callout box
    -Select the comment in the Comment pane, edit the text and then click Post.

    The text within the callout box will not update properly to the new edit.
    Only ways to fix it is to drag the callout box itself and move it a little bit and the text within the callout box will update, or have the user edit the text within the…

  12. Th new userinterface is all over the place. We have a big grey unused border at the right and some random icons and tools at the left. It's not possible to move te tools from the left to the right, so theres always a toolbox above the pdf I want to read, while the right border is half empty. This is horrible, non-efficient and really annoying while reading.

  14. From the desktop version of Adobe for Mac, I cannot save any files. Save and Save as bring up a completely black screen. I have to make roundabout efforts to save anything. It is very frustrating. Please address promptly.

  15. User has a Citrix virtual desktop with a USB HP printer connected to a Thin Client, and redirected into the Citrix desktop using the Citrix Universal Printer.
    Prior to this version, opening a PDF and printing to that redirected printer presented no problem. On this most recent version it does with a quick "The document could not be printed" error and then it spits out a blank page.
    Ideally I'd like to get my hands on 20.005.20058 to verify this, but I cannot find the full download now. I have however installed an older version 15.*** and this prints just…

  17. Give an option to remove AI from toolbar and/or to turn off pop-up/tip to users instead of having to rely on admin. It's distracting. At least put an x so we can dismiss the pop-up.

    Alternatively, change the color so it isn't so distracting that it causes productivity loss.

    I'm at a loss why Adobe would roll that out as a non-optional visual trespass.

  18. Running Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2024.001.20604 on a Mac.

    Previously, we could change the commenter name and make the new commenter name a default by editing the comment "Properties > General" and then checking "Make Properties Default", as detailed here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-cc-comment-name-change/td-p/9307260

    With the most recent update, "Make Properties Default" has no effect. It continually defaults back to each individual's Adobe User Name with every new comment. We can change each of them by hand, but cannot change the default behavior.

    We can enable Edit>Preferences to "Always use Log-in name for author name", but that will only use the log-in…

  19. I had to spend A FULL HOUR OF MY WORK DAY today just trying to figure out how to add text to a PDF. Why? Because the "Add Text" and "Edit Text" features have now changed such that, instead of adding text where you click, they open up a bunch of raster layers which totally destroy the entire document if you try to type in them.

    Every time I used the "Add Text" or "Edit Text" it would rearrange all of the text of the form I was trying to fill out in ways that turned the entire document into…
