hide tool bar (Mac)
The floating toolbar is ALWAYS in the way. Users should be able to hide or at least MOVE and CHANGE Orientation. For example, documents converted from powerpoint to pdf. I need the entire horizontal field to view, not the top or bottom. I should be able to move the toolbar there. Or just stick those functions on the right hand toolbar, there is a lot of empty space. By the way, I have a Mac and F8 doesn't work to hide the toolbar.

new viewer tools
The new viewer tools menu is terrible design. I dont want a 4 in bar on my left side constantly when i want to use the stamp function for 100's of documents. There is an almost empty top bar to put tools of your choice up there. Being able to just lock the icon for the tool you want to use to your top bar should be easy right? While having it to search for tools and being able to read everything is fine but, who organized the menu? There is a general "priority" to common used to less common…

Option to hide the floating toolbar
Who at Adobe thought that it would be a good idea to have a floating toolbar that the user cannot dock, cannot flip horizontally, and, critically, cannot choose to hide? It blocks readable document content and is very annoying.
Please create the option to hide the floating toolbar.

Be able to adjust width of Tools Pane by selecting the frame and moving it left or right. (Acrobat Standard DC 20.006.20034)
Most GUI based applications allow the end user to adjust width of a page by grabbing the frame and moving it left or right.
In my specific case, I am editing forms and the Tools pane shows the field names, which is nice, but I have to scroll the window to read the full names. There is a scroll bar on the bottom but this reduces the utility of the feature.

Bug Report: New Acrobat UI does not allow "Hide Toolbars" setting in Windows
The new Acrobat UI does not follow the "Hide Toolbars" setting from "Document Properties" > "Initial View".
Acrobat Version: 2023.003.20269
Platform: Windows 11 22H2Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a PDF and then open the Document Properties dialog. Click on the "Initial View" tab, check the "Hide tool bars" option under "User Interface Options".
2. Save the PDF and then close it. With Acrobat using the new UI model, open the PDF a second time, the "All Tools" side bar is displayed. Expected behaviour: the All Tools toolbar should not be shown as per the User Interface…9 votes -
Display navigation pane by default
We still desperately need to be able to show the navigation bar by default. I understand that certain features of it may not be available due to settings in the PDF. I use this program to view 99% of the time and it's a real hassle clicking around every time, to show the thumbnails.
Every rudimentary viewer allows thumbnails to be shown by default and I believe previous versions of Acrobat did as well.
Please allow this navigation pane and the selected tab to be sticky.

Bug: Text Callout function comments not updating properly when edited from comment pane
Recreate Bug:
-Select Comment tools
-Select Drawing tools -> Text callout -> create a callout box
-Type any text and then click away. The comment pane will show the corresponding text for the callout box
-Select the comment in the Comment pane, edit the text and then click Post. The text within the callout box will not update properly to the new edit.
Only ways to fix it is to drag the callout box itself and move it a little bit and the text within the callout box will update, or have the user edit the text within the…3 votes -
Remove Default Tools From Toolbar
There are tools on the floating toolbar that I don't use. Let me get rid of them. While you're at it, let me move tools I've added myself ABOVE the default tools. Why are they locked in place? Come on.

Additional commenting tools for Document Cloud shared reviews
Why are there limited commenting tools for PDF shared reviews uploaded to Document Cloud? This would be a perfect option for our organization if all the commenting tools were available (i.e., "stamp" tool, "attach file" tool).

Overriding Adobe Preference of showing comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened
We need a way to automatically hide the Comments pane that pops up on the right-hand side of a PDF with comments without asking users to manually change their Adobe preferences.
I create PDF deliverables for a living and there have been situations where a client wants me to embed documents in a PDF via the Comment Tool, but they don't want the Comment pane to open when their employees or customers open the PDF.
I have attached a screenshot of the Adobe Preference window. The preferences outlined in red are the ones that control the Comment pane pop-up. I…

Permanently close tools and bookmarks
Please provide an easy 1-click way to completely hide all extrenuous panes when opening any document. This means :
- No bookmaarks on the right.
- No tools on the left.
There are a mess of settings all over the place, and comments on previous related issues to multiple steps to take, but all these seem out of date. This should be a single 1-click check box in the main preferences, completely overriding all other settings.
Even better: Acrobat Reader should learn from the fact that I close these panes every single time I open the app (multiple times per…

Comment tools menu
The default layout of the comment tools menu has changed significantly in the new version of Adobe Acrobat DC and finding how to add functions like strikethrough and replace to the banner menu is not easy. This is frustrating for editors and typesetters who have to explain to authors how to proofread their galley proofs. Previously, I simply had to explain how to use Acrobat's comments function. Now, I'll have to explain to them how to find the menu to change the tools that appear on the banner, which is hard enough to figure out because it's just a bunch…

Hide Floating Toolbar
I would like the option to close or hide the floating toolbar (see attached picture). It's not always needed, and it's frustrating to have it hanging around and having to move it around to keep it out of the way. If I could close it or move it to the menu bar, that would be ideal. But right now it only allows movement within the document window.

Flexible Navigation Pane, Page Control & Toolbar Docking
I use dual 32" monitors for CAD. In version 2023-008-20470 this results is 8" of dead space on each side of a 8-1/2" x 11" PDF . While I like the smaller icons of the latest release, it is infuriating that I cannot place the toolbar, navigation pane, and page controls (Pg#, zoom, magnification, etc.) across the top where they would be most efficient to access in my situation. Their fixed positions on the sides of the screen might be acceptable to laptop users, but it is very inefficient on large monitors.

Why is there a Reading Order pane and a Tags pane? Is there any circumstance that would require them not to match?
Why is there a Reading Order pane and a Tags pane? Is there any circumstance that would require them not to match? Do any screen readers even use the Reader Order anymore?
