2. Can't open 1 file pdf in Portfolio

   I have attached a portfolio file.

   However, when opening with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC,

   1. the last file in this cannot be opened.

   The rest of the files can be opened normally.

   Please help me check this problem.

3. Distiller sends produced pdf to wrong place (in programm itself) on mac

   It happens every time with the first of the files.

   The context is as this.

   • xuse me for using german menu names from now on -

   I am using "Voreinstellungen" -> "Überwachte Ordner" ( screenshot )
   from time to time ( on one monthly project ).

   I then have 24 ps-files in my "in"-Folder,
   when I start Distiller, who start instantly to work them.

   And then - as you clearly see in the screenshot - the first file goes kind a nowhere = "Beim verschieben der PDF-Datei Ist ein Fehler aufgetreten".

   Which is clear because - I think - Distiller can not really write in this place
   ( or looses the file-name on the way, who knows ).

   This bug is really bugging.

   Redoing the run wild ps-file and placing it in "in" again,
   has the same result.

   The only work-around is to open the file directly in Distiller
   ( after setting the correct profile ).

   And even this does not always work.

   So one starts ending Distiller, restarting it, try…
   Or even restarting the machine and then redo the thing.
   ( which is something that normally works, but - of course is bad idea just before delivering files ).

   Ok.
   That’s it.

4. Usability

   My attempts to use Acrobat were the most frustrating experience of my 31 years on Macs. The program crashed constantly. Simple operations proved to be obtuse and non-intuitive and the layout of the tools, together with the process of interacting with the program, is very badly thought out. The tools page opens a page of cheesy icons resembling something from a children’s book, and why, for example, would anyone hide the ability to insert a rectangle under ‘comments’? Crazy.
   I spent almost a whole day (consulting Adobe help files and online sources) just trying to bring an image to the front. I had to give up in the end because absolutely nothing worked and why does a PDF program not accept imported PDF images? PNG and jpegs work OK.
   The play buttons for audio annotations, with their thick bounding boxes, are HORRIBLE. There appears to be no way of constraining the aspect ratio of dragged-out shapes and attempts to refine them after placement just distort the whole icon.
   Custom icons using posters only appear to work with WAV files but MP3 is the most common online format by far.

5. Ability to Take Snapshots of PDFs and Paste into same PDF

   The snapshot tool is already there, allow the user to past that snapshot within the same PDF. For users working with drawings it is helpful to be able to take a snapshot of a layout and move it to a different area. I worked around this by saving the snapshot as a JPEG and adding an image to the file, which is OK but the image may not come in at the correct scale which leads to errors.

6. Exporting Formular Data to CSV-File don´t work correctly

   We have to use the function for exporting PDF Formular Data to CSV-File. The function works well if you need it for only a few files but if you use it to export more than 500MB -750MB of files the export produces only an empty csv. That is quite a big problem for our company because we need this to export up to 3GB of PDF Formulars as part of our workflows and it is not very handy to export just parts and put them together in time consuming steps

7. Cannot set select tool as default instead of hand tool

   I'm trying to make the select tool the default when Acrobat opens instead of the hand tool.

   I was running Acrobat DC fine with the select tool as the default on Windows 7. I just got a new computer with Windows 10 and now I'm having trouble. Same version of Acrobat, just a new operating system.

   I've tried almost everything mentioned in this thread: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2179758

   The one thing I couldn't try was the scrubbing tool, because I have Creative Cloud. I did uninstall and reinstall Acrobat. It didn't work. Then I tried the "Repair Installation" option in the Acrobat help menu. No effect.

   My new computer has touch capabilities and I read that disabling touch in Acrobat switches the default back to the select tool. I disabled touch, but it didn't change anything.

   I've also tried editing the registry through regedit.exe but it's already showing the select tool as the default. And yet, whenever I open Acrobat, it's still on the hand tool. I tried changing it to "hand", to no effect, and back again, to no effect. Am I missing something? Is there a solution to this?

   I spend my entire work day selecting text and images in pdfs. I've never had a use for the hand tool and being forced to have it as the default tool now is a painful and frustrating waste of time. The "make hand tool select text & images" option is useless, since I have to click several times just to select one word in the document. I need the select tool.

8. Option for name other than login

   It would be nice if I could enter a name to use under Identity and could indicate to use this name regardless of how I am signed into acrobat. This way, comments added using my business or personal copy of Acrobat could show the exact same name. Thank you.

9. All tools sidebar on launch, GO AWAY!

   This pop up tool bar on launch is huge, and it needs an option to be turned off. When I open a pdf to READ it. I need more than half the window to be the document I opened, or it's too small to READ! I know a lot of people want this open on launch but some of us open 40 pdf's a day, and never ever touch a "Tool" I just need to read and copy invoice numbers off of them.

10. NOT BEING ABLE TO GET RID OF TOOLBAR IS TERRIBLE AND THE NEW PAGE ORGANIZING DISPLAY IS TERRIBLE. CANT READ THE PAGES EVEN WHEN I ZOOM IN.

    The old page organizing display was much better. The images of each page were clearer and large. When I zoom in in the new format, I still can't see that page numbers. I HATE it so much and although with printed permit sets its great, when it's a digital sign and sealed document, it is impossible for me.
    Also, the toolbar I can't get rid of is terrible. Sometimes I need a screenshot or something and I can't get it because the toolbar is in the way no matter where I move it to. Why did you make all of these changes? So drastic and all at once...

13. Adobe Acrobat Pro: Compare Files - improvement

    1. Unable to remove Summary page from first pages.

    2. Ability to delete both Summary page and Compare Results using Organize Pages.
       I can delete the Compare Results page using Organize Pages, but the Summary page is not visible in Organize pages, even though it still exists with the other pages.

    3. There is no need to share pages like Summary page and Compare Results with coworkers. These extra 2 pages extend the document unnecessarily. I'm not the only one looking for such a solution - I found the following posts in Adobe Community:

14. Add "Commenting" feature to Signature Requests to document conversations

    It would be really great if during the "Request Signatures" process, if the person(s) signing could send comments/ask questions from the requestor or other signers, prior to signing the document. This way, any clarifications can be made and documented on the Audit Report, that is included in the "signed & filed" copy.

When putting the password into a document for the client to open, there is always a chance to type the incorrect password and the document cannot be opened. When the document cannot be opened, I do not know what has changed from the proposed password. 16. 20.012.20043.3217 Acrobat Pro DC is painstakingly slow

    The new updates have been doing only harm to the software. It has become painstakingly slow. I normally have 5-6 (min) PDFs open at all times and search through them for keywords. After the recent update, it has been very slow, sometimes showing results on blank pages, even though there is actual content.

17. [Bug] Horizontal/vertical lines sometimes do not change color when text color is changed

    Reproduction: Open the "woodruffsvm" file or the "variance_reduction-saddle" file I attached, change text color to white.

    Environment: MacOS Big Sur, Adobe Acrobat DC

    Expected Result: the horizontal/vertical lines coming from fraction bars, square root signs, and tables should be changed to white as well

    Observed Result: these lines remained black

    This seems to happen for some pdfs and not others; for example, in the "unified" pdf I attach, the fraction bars and table lines are properly changed.

    When a user is termed the IT department would like to be able to download a copy of all the Document Cloud files the user has created. As the files only exist in the cloud and no local copy is saved this requires IT to download files manually, with a max of 100mb or 50 files. Please allow files to be cached locally (and thus backed up with the PC) or allow user to download a full copy of their document cloud storage at one time.

    Additionally, add a storage used tab in the admin portal so IT can see if the user has utilized storage in the first place!

    OCR in 2 languages. I index everything. Currently I have to hold two copies of files containing (for example) Chinese and English. A related issue is papers with special symbols. Lots of technical papers in English use Greek-letter symbols. Acrobat does an amazingly good job at reading Classical Chinese characters (slow, but worth the wait). If it can handle that, it ought to be able to handle multiple alphabets.

20. Right click functionality while tagging content in accessibility suite.

    Problem Description: While remediating document for accessibility in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Visual Tags that are assigned can sometimes be stacked or overlayered (<P>, <H1>, <TOC>, etc.) on top of the tagged text. This makes it difficult to ISOLATE AND KNOW the layered tag that you would like to right-click on the output display.

    Steps to Reproduce: //Open a Table of Contents in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC/ Open Accessibility Checker and check document/ Click on Tags Icon in Accessibility Menu/ Click on Reading Order/ go to body of document/ Identify tags that look like they are overlayered on top of each other/ Left click tag and wait until it turns blue/ Right click cluster of Tags where top tag on output display is blue/

    Actual Result: Output Display shows condensed right-click menu for unknown tag (Up to 10+ right clicks) or shows expanded menu for unknown tag.

    Expected Result: Output Display shows expanded right-click menu for specific tag.

    Any Workarounds: (Just an idea and is Unimplemented and Untested) When Output display shows tags that are overlayered on text as well as other tags, the first right-click will let you choose which element of the overlayered cluster of tags to apply the right-click to.
