  1. I have a PDF file with a Text Field whose content should be rendered using an embedded OpenType font.

    Consider the attached example PDF.

Acrobat DC uses a replacement font for rendering the text field content.

In Foxit PDF viewer, the text is rendered correctly, using the same font as in the string above the text field.

    Janet,

Select “Multi-line” and “Scroll Long Text” in “Options” tab of the Properties dialog box for your text field. Also, ensure to widen the width (manually) to allow user to view the content as they type

And, I have forwarded your request of “Wrap the Text” to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization.

  3. The form created in Adobe with various fields our business has used for four years is now unreadable after distributing for signatures. Text in all the fields becomes super-sized, showing only a portion of it. This is disastrous for our business! Must have a fix!!

  5. When I open a completed fillable form all I can see are the adobe digital signatures. I cannot see any of the text typed in the fillable fields. When I look at it in print preview or page thumbnails the text is visible so I know the form has been completed. All I can see is an empty blue box where the info should be. I installed a Creative Cloud update today (prompted from Adobe) and this is the first PDF I have opened since the update, not sure if related.

  7. Description of desired feature & Why the feature is needed

    Dear Mr./Mrs.

I and my collegues created a custom stamp on Excel and this stamp has text fields and a text field for the signature. Kindly look attached file. We would like to work with our custom stamp on our invoices and on our delivery notes within our workflow. However we couldn't insert texts into the text fields and couldn't add a signature when we add this stamp on one of the invoice using Acrobat DC. Kindly note that we don't want to use "Form"…

  8. I am making grant application forms where students have to write a short essay that sometimes needs to be 2-3 pages in length. Others have already requested options where the text fields can be linked and the text can flow from one page to the next. I have definitely voted in favor of this option.

I would like to add another option. I would like the option to format the text that is entered in the text field as double-spaced, single-spaced, or in blockquotes. It seems like there should be much more robust options in this regard.

  10. Since there's a push to make publically available PDF's meet ADA accesibility standards, we've been creating the base form fields in inDesign and then doing finishing touches in Acrobat Pro. It's annoying enough that you can't set formatting in the base doc (ie if it should be a number, date, percentage etc). The fact that there's no way to format multiple fields at once is worse. If more than one field is selected, the "format" tab literally disappears from the properties menu.

I'd just copy the original fields to preserve their settings, but…

  11. When I create a text field and change it to a number field, I can only enter numbers which is good. However, at the 17th digit, the value of the number changes strangely. If you put all 1s, the 17th 1 will become a 2 every time. This seems to happen with any number longer than 17 digits. How do I fix this?

  12. When using Prepare Form for making a pdf fillable form, you can copy and paste multiple fields by selecting over.

Now, if you try to do it, unless you're zoomed in, it will automatically change to text edit. This needs to stay in prepare form mode...

  13. You have implemented this feature 5 years ago https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/19741672-add-an-addional-field-type-picture-field-in-the

It seems like the feature is thus far undocumented: https://opensource.adobe.com/dc-acrobat-sdk-docs/pdfstandards/PDF32000_2008.pdf

Would it be possible that you could document it in your next iteration of the pdf specs so that we can have a chance of it working in other software as well?

I have tested and the feature works in both acrobat and foxit, but when I load the document in any browser, the picture insertion field does not work...

I can't believe it if I am the only one facing this brick wall...

  14. the new "add text" does not allow you to add text anywhere overlaying existing text like it used to do. Add text defaults to "edit text" whenever you try to add text over existing text, like lines for entering data. The function to add text to a form is not as useful as simply being able to add text over the existing text. DONT CHANGE A FUNCTION THAT USED TO WORK FINE AND BE VERY USEFUL TO SOMETHING THAT IS LESS FUNCTIONAL. Please revert back to the old Add text function!!!

  15. Please allow skipping fields on forms for tabbing. We have "Office Use Only" fields we want to skip when users fill out forms and other redundant or calculated fields. Please add an option to remove fields from tabbing.

  16. I mean, this is ridiculous. I have to cut the text, paste it into Google Docs, estimate how large it's gonna come out, resize it there and go back to Adobe Acrobat to paste it into a field? Have you thought about adding a FONT SIZE feature in your software? Maybe I'm a complete idiot but I spent 45 min googling but came to no answer... I can change the text of the form, no problem but once I'm IN the form – no can do.

  17. Is it, or will it be possible in the future, to adjust a multi-line text field font size when set to auto in the appearance properties? I would like to start at a font size 24 or 30 and auto downsize as the text field fills up. It seems to default to size 12 only when multi-line and auto (font size) boxes are ticked in properties.

  18. Fields become "ghost fields"; they still show up in the sidebar on the right and you can still open their properties. However, you cannot select the form field and type text in it. You also can't change the properties, like name and tooltip fields; when you try to, and click away from the field you just changed, they revert back with no notification. This happens every time I open this file in a different application, such as an Accessibility plug-in called CommonLook, and has happened with other files too. Fixing tags in the plug-in causes forms…

  19. First my suggestion for Acrobat Pro is work more painstakingly or stock up staff! The CC costs a bunch of money and when working with it, it shows that it doesn't function as sufficient as is should. Especially when it comes to creating/editing more advanced interactive PDFs with Acrobat Pro. The possibility to do that basically is a very mighty and good feature but it doesn't runs as stable as it should.

In my opinion there could/should be a standalone software thats reduced to interactive/form field and layout functions (comparable: InDesign) only. Acrobat Pro is packed full with lots…

  20. This is the biggest single thing that reduces my productivity in Acrobat DC. So often I need to paste some text from inside the PDF into the comment field. Suppose the text is white font on a black background, what is that going to look like in the comment box? In what universe would retaining the formatting as the default make any sense at all?
