  2. In "Prepare Form" form fields are sometimes auto-generated with names that contain leading space e.g. " _2b". These fields looks innocent in user interaction. But when one want to manipulate them in javascript, they are listed out in getNthFieldName() yet invisible in getField(), thus blocking the automation.

Solution 1: allow leading/trailing space in getField()
Solution 2: trim field names in form field auto-generation

    Implement both would be best.

  3. Please allow skipping fields on forms for tabbing. We have "Office Use Only" fields we want to skip when users fill out forms and other redundant or calculated fields. Please add an option to remove fields from tabbing.

  4. I have a PDF file with a Text Field whose content should be rendered using an embedded OpenType font.

    Consider the attached example PDF.

Acrobat DC uses a replacement font for rendering the text field content.

In Foxit PDF viewer, the text is rendered correctly, using the same font as in the string above the text field.

I have forwarded your request to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization. We will contact you if we need some more information on this.
    Thank you for your patience.

  5. I open a pdf and go to tools > prepare form> open then select a form.

As soon as I click on 'add a field' or an existing field, a stopwatch icon appears and Adobe closes. So I can't edit a form which makes a fillable pdf form impossible. Given the fee I pay every month I am NOT happy.

Yes I have the most current version, Yes I tried the 'repair Adobe' option.

  6. You have implemented this feature 5 years ago https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/19741672-add-an-addional-field-type-picture-field-in-the

It seems like the feature is thus far undocumented: https://opensource.adobe.com/dc-acrobat-sdk-docs/pdfstandards/PDF32000_2008.pdf

Would it be possible that you could document it in your next iteration of the pdf specs so that we can have a chance of it working in other software as well?

I have tested and the feature works in both acrobat and foxit, but when I load the document in any browser, the picture insertion field does not work...

I can't believe it if I am the only one facing this brick wall...

    We are an…

  7. When using Prepare Form for making a pdf fillable form, you can copy and paste multiple fields by selecting over.

Now, if you try to do it, unless you're zoomed in, it will automatically change to text edit. This needs to stay in prepare form mode...

  9. Since there's a push to make publically available PDF's meet ADA accesibility standards, we've been creating the base form fields in inDesign and then doing finishing touches in Acrobat Pro. It's annoying enough that you can't set formatting in the base doc (ie if it should be a number, date, percentage etc). The fact that there's no way to format multiple fields at once is worse. If more than one field is selected, the "format" tab literally disappears from the properties menu.

I'd just copy the original fields to preserve their settings, but…

  10. First my suggestion for Acrobat Pro is work more painstakingly or stock up staff! The CC costs a bunch of money and when working with it, it shows that it doesn't function as sufficient as is should. Especially when it comes to creating/editing more advanced interactive PDFs with Acrobat Pro. The possibility to do that basically is a very mighty and good feature but it doesn't runs as stable as it should.

In my opinion there could/should be a standalone software thats reduced to interactive/form field and layout functions (comparable: InDesign) only. Acrobat Pro is packed full with lots…

  11. Hello,

The following issue appears to be Mac specific. This is not an issue on Windows machines, as all of my testing on multiple machines suggest it's only on Mac's.

    The short story:

On Mac's only, changing a text field format in Acrobat Pro DC (ex - changing to a date field) causes the field highlighting to no longer work on those fields that have been adjusted, and are fields that are shown/hidden based on checking/unchecking a check box.

    The long story:

I recently have been trying to troubleshoot a relatively minor issue that I can…

  12. the new "add text" does not allow you to add text anywhere overlaying existing text like it used to do. Add text defaults to "edit text" whenever you try to add text over existing text, like lines for entering data. The function to add text to a form is not as useful as simply being able to add text over the existing text. DONT CHANGE A FUNCTION THAT USED TO WORK FINE AND BE VERY USEFUL TO SOMETHING THAT IS LESS FUNCTIONAL. Please revert back to the old Add text function!!!

  13. When typing a number longer then 16 digits in a form field who's security is set to "numbers" and then clicking out of the field, Acrobat auto changes the last few digits to random numbers. For instance, I was trying to type 12345678901234567890 into the "account number" field and when I tab/click out of that field to the next, it is changed to 12345678901234567168". Removing the security resolves the issue, but the client wants to only allow numbers to be entered into this field.

  14. Description of desired feature & Why the feature is needed

    Dear Mr./Mrs.

I and my collegues created a custom stamp on Excel and this stamp has text fields and a text field for the signature. Kindly look attached file. We would like to work with our custom stamp on our invoices and on our delivery notes within our workflow. However we couldn't insert texts into the text fields and couldn't add a signature when we add this stamp on one of the invoice using Acrobat DC. Kindly note that we don't want to use "Form"…

  17. While adding and editing Fields in the PREPARE FORM it should not be letting you edit text on the form. Its acting like your in the EDIT PDF if you click in the white area of a text area.
If you are trying to make these 2 work together then the EDIT PDF should allow you to change the fields.

  18. I mean, this is ridiculous. I have to cut the text, paste it into Google Docs, estimate how large it's gonna come out, resize it there and go back to Adobe Acrobat to paste it into a field? Have you thought about adding a FONT SIZE feature in your software? Maybe I'm a complete idiot but I spent 45 min googling but came to no answer... I can change the text of the form, no problem but once I'm IN the form – no can do.

  19. When using Prepare Form, I have to change the default font and size to my preferences on EACH field I enter. There should be a way to set your preferences for font and size.

  20. When I create a text field and change it to a number field, I can only enter numbers which is good. However, at the 17th digit, the value of the number changes strangely. If you put all 1s, the 17th 1 will become a 2 every time. This seems to happen with any number longer than 17 digits. How do I fix this?
