Page-numbering & viewing are way too small for pages containing photos
When I convert a photo to a PDF, insert that into a PDF document and then add page numbering, the following problems arise:
1) on the photo-pages, the page-numbering is reduced in size to be barely visible, and
2) when paging thru the document, non-photo-pages appear minuscule compared to photo-pages.

Tab Management
I'm constantly in and out of Acrobat.
I would love to be able to right click and either close all tabs or close all tabs to the right without closing Acrobat. I jump from job to job and each has its own handful of PDFs to view. When I'm done with a job, I have to either manually close each tab or close the whole window and select close all tabs. Then immediately after, I have to open more and wait for Acrobat to start up again.7 votes -
Font rendering bug with Charter.ttc from Apple
To reproduce:
1. Create a PDF with an embedded version of Bitstream's Charter font included with macOS or OSX.- Open the PDF in Acrobat.
Expected result: normal display of the font. The PDF displays normally in Apple's Preview reader.
Observed result: Many glyphs in italic and bold italic will be incomplete (missing terminals), smeared, or the strokes will be too thin. E.g., "B, F, Q, U, a–z, 4, ?," en dash, em dash, etc. Other glyphs may have problems, I have not tested them all.
Tested on macOS Sierra 10.12.6 with Acrobat DC and Reader DC, both version 18.011.20038; with Charter versions 11.0d1e1 (from Yosemite) and 14.0d2e1 (from High Sierra 10.13.4). The bug presumably exists with other versions of the macOS Charter.
PDF generated with Mac OS 10.12.6 Quartz PDFContext, PDF version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x), from Apple Pages; and from Word 2011 via "save as Adobe PDF", Acrobat PDFMaker 15 for Word, PDF version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x).
Note that Charter (as a .ttc collection) is made available to users in Mavericks, Yosemite, and Sierra 10.12.0 and 10.12.1, and again in High Sierra 10.13.4.
It is included on the system but hidden from certain apps on other OS versions from El Capitan up through High Sierra 10.13.3. If working on an OS where the file is hidden, instructions for accessing the .ttc can be found here:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7827223
http://www.jklstudios.com/misc/osxfonts.html
Some have also reported those steps don't work, and the better solution is to copy the file from a Yosemite (or High Sierra?) installation/installer.Attached file shows correct rendering of italic and bold italic in Preview (top) and bugged rendering in Acrobat (bottom).

Undo action
Ctrl+ z action does "Undo" of last activity in adobe writer. However, cursor or screen display does not move to specific location in file where undo has happened. Some time in hurry, we dont even come to know that we have undone some work. Hence, i suggest, undo should take cursor and screen to concerned page similar to excel, word etc.
Kindly check if it is worth enough to consider.

Issues with FIll in and Sign Feature in Acrobat Pro
I am having an issue with the "Fill in and Sign" feature. When I open up a PDF that doesn't have fillable fields but I'm just trying to add text to the page, as soon as I hit the letter "A" key, I get an error message that says, "Currently there are no form fields in this PDF. DO you want Adobe Acrobat to detect form fields for you?" This only happens when I have the Single Key Shortcut Accelerators enabled in preferences. When I don't, I can type the text without an issue but when they're enabled it triggers this error when I hit the "A" key. Many other letters and numbers work without a problem but some of the other keys have issues as well. What's the deal?
This is totally ridiculous that you need to go into preferences, disable the hot keys, then go back to your document, type the text you need added to the page and then go back to preferences and re-enable the hotkeys which are supposed to be a convenience. What does it matter that you're adding text to a document that doesn't have fields. That seems like a glitch in the program. It allows you to type any of the letter, number, or symbol keys that aren't associated with shortcuts but doesn't let you type the 5-10 "hot keys". One function is definitely not related to the other.
I'm not looking to go through the extra step process to add fields. I'm just looking to drop text in various parts of the document and be able to sign and send in a seamless step process. I shouldn't have to turn off accelerator keys in preferences and shouldn't have to go to Prepare Forms tools to drop text boxes to fill out and then come back to drop signatures. The tool functionality is there and shouldn't conflict with single key accelerators.

Very slow pdf thumb display
Hi,
The last 64-bit version of Adobe Acrobat DC has introduced the possible display in Windows explorer of the file thumb. Great, BUT it is extraordinarily slow and in practice unusable (in particular in the Windows 10 welcome screen of the explorer, showing the recently opened files: it seems that the cache is rebuilt every new session).
So, please make the appropriate changes in the program to speedup this display, which is very useful.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. For your information, I work on a DELL XPS desktop with an NVidia GTX 970 graphics display card and my main drive is a 1Tbyte SSD, so I don't think it comes from my rather powerful configuration.

Provide options for naming bookmarks when creating PDF from Web Page
Please provide options for bookmark naming conventions. When creating HTML reports, I intentionally use relative links to link to attachments or appendices. However, when I create a PDF from the HTML home page, the bookmarks contain the full link exposing my User Profile name and other sensitive information. I would like the bookmark to be named for the relative link or the filename only (or an option for the document title). I prefer to create my reports in word with hyperlinks to other docs and attachments, but I have submitted a separate feature request for creating PDFs from documents with links.

Bug: Have one standard icon for PDF bookmarks
Have 1 icon for bookmarks wether it is created by adding a new bookmark or combining pdf files.
If you need to add a new bookmark to a file you cannot get it to display the same icon as those created using combine pdf's. Unless they offer different functions there is nothing but confusion caused by having 2 different icons.18 votes -
Proper table conversion from PDF to Excel/XML
I would like to request a normal PDF to Excel/XML conversion capabilities, especially in regards to a table formatting.
I understand that PDF files are not always properly created/formatted, but I do not see how it can be an issue for a good converter. The main point of converting PDF to Excel is to have a properly aligned table. I had experience with a third party PDF editing software, which costs less than Adobe Acrobat Standard and is able to automatically convert PDF to Excel with a seamless table formatting. Why Adobe, who invented Portable Document Format in the early 90s, is not able to provide the same functionality today?
I hope Adobe development team will address this PDF conversion functionality shortcoming soon.

Support Installations and Upgrades on macOS Case-Sensitive Volumes
This request is being submitted at the suggestion of Adobe Support which was unable to provide effective support for Case Nº 0189220198. Of the 252 applications currently installed on our macOS Sierra system, only Acrobat Pro XI cannot be reinstalled or upgraded because the storage volumes are formatted as case-sensitive. The previously case-insensitive system volume on which Acrobat Pro XI version 11.0.20 had previously been installed was converted to a case-sensitive format. This was done by imaging the volume as a DMG file using Disk Utility, and then after reformatting as case-sensitive, the volume was restored using the ditto command in the Terminal. Acrobat Pro XI still runs exactly as it did when the system volume was case-insensitive. Notifications have now been displayed that Acrobat Pro XI should be updated to version 11.0.21 and then to version 11.0.22. Neither the stand-alone updaters nor the automatic updates will complete. Although the error dialogs are misleading, we have confirmed that these update failures occur because the installation scripts detect that the volume format is case-sensitive which causes script execution to terminate. The updaters do not include complete copies of the applications and resources to be updated, so manual update would be very difficult and error prone.
Adobe should do better. It is clear that Acrobat Pro XI is compatible with case-sensitive volumes, as is Adobe Acrobat Reader 2017 which installs and updates without problems. It is obvious that Apple is now focusing upon case-sensitive formats. All iOS devices are case-sensitive, and the new Apple File System was exclusively case-sensitive until late in the beta cycle. The new iOS 11 will include a standard file manager for the first time, so files will be moved between iOS and macOS systems far more often than with earlier system versions. That makes parity of case-sensitivity highly desirable to avoid artificial pathname conflicts. Currently, Adobe is the only known impediment to such parity. Adobe should comprehensively support case-sensitive macOS volume formats as soon as possible. Continued failure to do so will be viewed as inadequate support of the macOS platform.

I have attempted to restart the computer and even reinstall the software/ perform cleaner tool, but the problem remains unsolved.
Environment: Windows 10 Home 64bit version
Other related applications: Readiris Pro 15, Acrobat X Pro, Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium2 votesPlease run Acrobat Cleaner, reinstall Acrobat and then copy the files from the Paper Capture folder to the plug_ins folder.

Activate <ESC> escape button to close Search dialog, like many other Windows programs.
Having to manually mouse click the 'OK' button on the 'Acrobat has finished searching the document' dialog is cumbersome. Ditto for other Acrobat dialogs. Please activate the <ESC> key here to close the dialogs. It makes navigation much faster.

Option to unlink form fields when copying fields or complete page
When copying form fields, Acrobat automatically makes identical copies. If I copy a page and fill in the first page, the fields on the second page are automatically filled out with the same info. The only way to couteract this without having java scripting knowledge is to manually change the name of every field. This is frustrating when you have 100 fields that need to be identical on 20 pages, but filled out with different info. This should be a standard option. Preferrably while copying, acrobat could ask if you want the new copies linked with the originals or not.

To avoid same name of form fields, please use “Right Click > Create Multiple Copies”.Read more at https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-form-field-basics.html
