How to show CSS gradient background from HTML to PDF using Acrobat?
We want to create a PDF file from local HTML files.
It can show gradient background if we save PDF by using printing function in browser.
However, It doesn't works when created in Acrobat.
We don't want to use printing function to create all PDF files, due to there are many pages waited to be converted.
The gradient background are written in CSS.
Could we have a solution?
Tks.

Soft and hard hyphens in German text
German, as we know, is a language with some very long words. Therefore it is very common that words will be automatically split across lines, using what we used to call a "soft" hyphen. When exporting a PDF in German to a Word document, this "soft" hyphen is not distinguished from a "hard" hyphen (i.e. one which is produced by a key-stroke (as in the hyphen used just then).
I was asked yesterday to "Compare" a revised document in German (submitted as a pdf) with a former version in Word, and submit an estimate for updating the English translation. The straight conversion using Adobe Acrobat produced an almost continuous red line when "Compared". Because every "soft" hyphen had been transformed into a "hard" hyphen plus space and hence a change was flagged.
I started a "Replace" running, and accepted/rejected for each hyphen and after half an hour realised that my estimating the job was likely to take as long as doing it. Frustrated, I gave up and had some dinner. Got up very early this morning (Tuesday) with this realisation:
Most "-[space]" in German texts were originally soft hyphens.
The main exceptions to this are "-[space]und", "-[space]oder" and "-[space]bzw."
Once I had this in mind, I searched and replaced each of these exceptions with an unlikely key, deleted all "-[space] and then replaced the unlikely key with the original. It was almost 100% successful.
I don't, of course, know how Acrobat works (I'm 65 and my entire experience with data processing has been tentative) - but I think it's an algorithm based on the appearance of the text and then a best match (rather than dealing with the ideas of "soft" or "hard" hyphens). But it seriously messes up the result.
So, I offer my ideas for your further research. I think it will hugely improve the conversion of German in particular.
If it works, you can thank me in the nicest way you can think of :).

Program crashes when trying to use Highlighter or Stamp feature.
Some bug in my Acrobat Pro DC prevents me from using the Highlighter feature. Click on the button, go to text to highlight and program crashes. See attached doc for the crash report. Same kind of thing when I try to use the Stamp feature. Click on Stamp, go the the Standard Business, click the VOID stamp, go to doc and program crashes. See doc2 for the crash report. What can I do?

Your customer support chat is IMPOSSIBLE to find, sends me in endless useless circles, and redirects me to useless forum articles having nothing to do with my situation. I actually had to trick your system about my situation to get to support chat. My company pays handsomely for this software, which includes chat support, and should not have to waste time as such. We have over 150 licenses with ya'll and you left us hung out to dry. This is not acceptable customer service. Correct immediately.

Tools
- You should be able to "pin" tool bars of your choosing and have them automatically be in your workspace when you open a pdf.
This use to work and now does not. It is extremely frustrating.
- There are way too many clicks involved to open up the navigation pane. I should not have to memorize shortcuts to do such a simple task.

Adobe Standard XI huge downgrade
I had Adobe Pro 9. I used it at work to add stamps, and markup drawings. My machine was rebuilt and Adobe Standard XI was loaded. Very inefficient software for what I need. I searched for the comparison to XI Pro and am not convinced it is any better.
Some issues: preloaded stamps cannot be removed, each stamp has to be selected every time (9 would remember the last used), you cannot copy multiple objects using the control button, you cannot save a custom sheet sized when printing (previously you could, issue of width/length for some sizes being backwards still exists. Reader deals with it well, other software does not. Adds rotation to the file.), very difficult to manage menus in the upper ribbon. I clicked to get the instructions and was sent to a YouTube video of "enhancements" that did not relate to my issues. Not helpful at all. I would love to upgrade to 9, but it is not available to me. Trying to decide which was the biggest downgrade I have seen. PTC's Wildfire 4 to CreoP 1, Microsofts Vista, or this. From comments below, they may also be in the running.I had Adobe Pro 9. Spent hours editing a PDF document only to re-open after saving it and find the entire document was missing characters. Randomly omitted letters throughout the document with white spaces. It is 15 pages of unprofessional unreadable **** now.

Arabic doesn't export well to .csv from the response collection window - bug
I created a form in Acrobat DC Pro, distributed and collected the form successfully. In the collection window, Any field filled up in Arabic shows up properly – see screenshot (Collected-results-with-Arabic.jpg).
However when I export all results to .csv format so I can compare all results, any Arabic text will display as dots – see screenshot (arabic-in-excel.jpg)I performed all above steps on Mac and Windows using Acrobat Pro DC 15.23.20056.213124 with similar results
Arabic text should be readable in the exported .csv file
Arabic text is converted to dots upon exporting all data from the form collection window.

Remove just one header/footer and not others/remove all headers/footers
It would be nice to have the ability to remove just one footer instead of removing all headers/footers. For example, I work on large publications and would like to be able to leave the different headers and copyright footers for each chapter in place, but be able to update the page numbers. Currently, when I remove or update a header/footer, it effects ALL headers/footers. There should be a menu option to pick and choose which headers/footers to alter.

Invert page order
I suggest creating a new function to the "organize pages" that would allow to invert the order of pages. Very useful if I'm reading in Japanize

AdobeSign <input> fields need aria-label attributes for ADA compliance
Forms generated using AdobeSign are not in compliance with ADA accessibility standards. Need an option when creating input fields to add an 'aria-label' attribute so that the fields can be easily identified by disabled / visually impaired users. Additionally, the radio buttons generated by the tool should be grouped with a <fieldset> or <legend> tag and utilize aria-label or aria-labelledby so that the buttons can be properly associated with each other and distinguished from other radio button groups.
Here is an example of an input field generated by an AdobeSign form:
<input type="text" name="Custom Field 3" value="" aria-required="true" tabindex="0" data-tabindex="4" style="border-style: solid; font-size: 13.1px; text-align: left;">
No aria-label is present, meaning a visually impaired user won't be able to tell what the input field is asking for.
A detailed explanation of form labels / radio inputs can be found here:
https://dequeuniversity.com/rules/axe/2.4/label?application=AxeChrome
and here
https://dequeuniversity.com/rules/axe/2.4/radiogroup?application=AxeChrome
Please note that these standards are FEDERAL LAW, and failing to comply could potentially result in lawsuits. Not to mention its the right thing to do...it's the equivalent of installing wheelchair ramps at your business, everyone should have fair and easy access to the information.
AdobeSign is a great tool and we'd love to keep using it, I can't imagine Adobe would allow one of its product to violate the law - please add these features so we can continue to use it!

Allow Send For Signature Signed Forms to be Returned to a Separate single Email Address
We currently have an Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Team Account with 2 users. We will be adding more users once we are more familiar with how this will work for us as a company.
One problem that we have is that when our Employee1 sends an Adobe Form to a customer A using "Send for Signature", once Customer A signs the form, the signed form is returned to Employee1's email address that is registered with "Manager Your Team"
When Employee 2 sends an Adobe Form to a customer B using "Send for Signature", once Customer B signs the form, the signed form is returned to Employee2's email address that is registered with "Manager Your Team"
We would like to request that instead of this behavior with each Employee getting the signed forms that they send, we would like to have a separate single special email address, say "signed_agreements@domain.com that all forms that get signed are returned to instead of Employee1's email or Employee2's email. The reason for this is that we have an Employee 3 that processes and handles all signed forms and with the current behavior we have to rely on Employee 1 and/or Employee 2 forwarding the signed form notification to this other special email address.

Automatically open the same files after restart
Automatically open the same files on same page after restart. This would great in conjunction with the feature "Restore last view settings when reopening documents". If one has several documents open and one has to restart Adobe Acrobat or Windows it would be quite timesaving and relieve the pain of having to find each document and re-open.

WHY do I keep getting pop up ads for a free trial of document cloud on our PAID version of Acrobat Pro??
Here's an idea. How about NOT having pop-up ads for a free version of Document Cloud on PAID versions of Acrobat Pro?
