   Downloaded ADE 4.5.7 got this error when trying to open the how-to book

2. Adobe Acrobat Pro 2015 (2015 Release (Classic) | Version 2015.006.30417) crashes when I try to edit a PDF on Windows 7

   Hi,

   I have the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 and it always crash when I try to edit a PDF. Always appear the message "Adobe Acrobat DC has stopped working".

   I tried the fixes below but they was not solve the problem:

3. Regression rendering certain pdfs

   The latest version of Adobe Acrobat and Reader DC no longer renders some of our files correctly.

   The attached file has 3 pages, and when viewed in DC it renders page 3 on page 2 and 3 and doesn't render page 2.

   These files render correctly on adobe 11 and every other pdf viewer I've tried.

5. Mismatch between splitted file names and bookmark names

   After splitting a document by top-level bookmarks, file names do not match bookmark names.

   Bookmark names are all capital Greek without periods, underscores or other characters. I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro and Windows 7 Professional.

6. Re-set support staff mind set, with new paradigm of training.

   My experience with Adobe’s support staff has been frustrating. Often, no matter how carefully I ask, there appears to be poor understanding of my question. And the staff seems to produce formulaic responses, imstead of specifically addressing my issues. For example:

   I have repeatedly asked what computer configurations can best and most quickly handle time-consuming Adobe Acrobat tasks: OCR, placing duplicate buttons on multiple pages, etc.

   I’ve specifically asked whether more RAM, or multicore, or other configurations would speed up OCR of scanned documents.

   Adobe has not yet provided a coherent response to the above question.

   Many of the support staff apparently do not speak native English. So their ability to understand the full meaning of questions and issues may be a little limited.

   And there seem to be incentives to dispose of user issues rather than necessarily solve them. And disincentives for support staff to admit the need for more help. There might even be an unfortunate quota system for a support staff member to claim a larger number of user encounters.

   I suggest that the support staff be trained to recognize when a user’s issue is not resolved. And not be penalized for referring that user up to a person better able to understand and resolve user issues. And then be given feedback to better handle that issue in the future.

   And we users should be able to give feedback to Adobe about every encounter, so Adobe can independently analyze how well customers were served.

8. Program Closes Adobe Acrobat DC has stopped working

   I will be in the middle of a project and this comes up...

   A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. If this happens, I am going to stop paying a monthly fee and discontinue services. HELP

9. Text Box (not font) is black

   When I click on a field to populate, the text box becomes black. Therefore I cannot see what I type in the field. How do I change this?! I need to complete a document as soon as possible, and this issue is holding me up. Thanks.

    PDF files generated by Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008R2
    Process with 'Accessibility tools, Autotag Document'

    Environment (OS, version)

    2015 Release (Classic) Version 2015.006.30392

    Note that files were OK with Windows 10, Acrobat Pro XI (currently on the same workstation)
    Note that files had previously been OK with Windows 7, Acrobat Pro DC (prior workstation, no longer available)

    Expected Result
    Text recognized and assigned text characters
    Bullets recognized and assigned 'bullet' character
    Accessibility Checker passes content

    Observed Result
    Bullets assigned text character ('w', 'n', etc. - possibly the different values were based on different shaped bullets)

14. PDF OPTIMIZING TOOL FOR ACROBAT PRO DC VERSION

    The current Acrobat Pro DC Version has omitted 4 Image enhancing features (Deskew, Background Removal, Descreen, & Text Sharpening) & I feel that they should be implemented-edited into the latest Acrobat Version to make it complete. These are very important features.

    Option is available in Acrobat DC as well. Serach for Optimize PDF and select “Optimize scanned Documents.”
    Its available under Filters option.

16. White Box error in printed 3D views

    We are noticing an error in prints of 3D space from Adobe DC in either Windows 7 or Windows 10. When you print views, sometimes there’s a “White Box” in the middle of the view no matter which medium you print through/to (i.e. physical printer, Adobe PDF, Word Doc, OneNote, etc.).

    I attached an example PDF where this behavior can be seen. The original model is included as an attachment in the PDF. The information attached does not have any restrictions. The information in the PDF is correct until you print it.

    Reproduction Steps:
    1. Export a PDF from ACW with "Show GD&T in front of part geometry" checked
    2. Go to view "MBD01LOREM IPSUM" and click "Ctrl + P"
    3. Notice "Print Preview" has text in 3D space
    4. Print view and notice no white square
    5. Go to view "MBD04JUNK DATA" and click "Ctrl + P"
    6. Notice "Print Preview" has NO text in 3D space
    7. Print view and notice white square in middle of view

    NOTE:
    • Check the box on the right hand side at the top of the "MODEL VIEW list.
    • Then select “Print Selected Views”
    • Print all views
    • Notice that there is a white box in “MBD02…” and “MBD04…”

18. Sticky Notes show a nonexistent user's name

    I can provide screenshots via email. Suddenly, although I've changed nothing, I add a sticky note and it has someone else's name who had never commented on a PDF ever, and is not associated with my account!

    Hi,

    We already have this feature.
    You can try following workflow:
    1. Open PDF.
    2. Click Print.
    3. In Pages section give Page numbers which you want to print.

    If you are still facing issue then let us know the version of Acrobat you are using and workflow you are doing.
