1. Deceptive "default app" notification on mac

   Minutes ago, I got a desktop notification from Acrobat asking if I wanted to change the default PDF handler to Acrobat Pro (I don't). However, the button on the notification alert simply said "Show." I clicked it, thinking it would open Acrobat and give me a choice to "never ask me again." Instead, it opened Acrobat and said "Successfully set Acrobat to open PDF files by default."

   This is downright user-hostile. Adobe, stop using these terrible deceptive patterns! We are literally paying you hundred and thousands of dollars and you treat us like garbage.

2. READ ONLY warning message

   When opening a pdf that is already in use by another user, please provide a message box to notify the user the file will be opened in read only because someone already has opened the file.

3. Adobe Send and Track Outlook 2016 Compatibility

   have been using Adobe Send and Track with Office 2013 with no issue. However, I few months back our company has upgraded our office suite to the 2016 version. Since then the outlook plugin has been having all sorts of issues and is not working correctly.

   The reason for the upgrade to 2016 is because Microsoft no longer supports 2013 versions. Does anyone have a resolution to why it does not work with the 2016 version. Is adobe aware of this issue? On the website it states that it is only compatible with 2013, but the upgrade is necessary. Since this this a product I am paying for I am wondering if there are any talks about updating send and track as well or if there is a fix to get it to work with 2016.

4. ALWAYS DEFAULT TO HAND TOOL OR SELECT TOOL - USER PREFERENCE

   Make a reliable way for users to set a default for either the "pan" or "text selection" tools. You will see both issues have been raised in online help forums and suggested on this platform.

   I use Acrobat mostly for reading documents. I am so tired of inadvertantly highlighting text or selecting images every time I left click and drag the mouse in an effort to pan because the system defaults to the Select tool rather than the Pan tool.

   YES - I have deselected "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" under Accessibility.

   YES - I have selected "Make Hand tool select text & images" and "Make Hand tool read articles" under General.

   YES - I've read support articles that repeatedly instruct users that the above steps will resolve the issue.

   NO - Taking the above steps does not resolve the issue on my machine.

   YES - I am a paying subscriber.

   NO - I'm probably not a moron. I do have a couple engineering degrees.

   NO - I never take the time to engage large corporate companies.

   YES - I am so very tired of screwing around with this obvious software problem.

   NO - I shouldn't have to fish through the registry to remedy this problem.

   PLEASE FIX this bug!

5. [Feature request] Track reading progress

   As a postgraduate student I have many readings, usually in the form of journal articles, almost always PDFs that I am given. The content is quite in depth and sometimes I am not always able to fully read content in one sitting. When I turn my PC off and reopen the files I currently have to use an external method to keep track of where I was. Sometimes this can be quite laborious and confusing.

   I would like a feature that enables me to for example, drag a progress bar down to the section I've read, that automatically saves for the next time I open the file. But also that is easy to hide...

6. Outlook - Adobe PDFMaker - Generate Single PDF with Message and Attachments

   It would be really awesome if Adobe PDF Maker was able to generate a single PDF Document containing the message and any attachments automatically. For example, if I receive an email and that email has one or more attached documents (e.g. PDF, Word, etc.), when I create a PDF document, a PDF document is created containing the email message and all attachments in the subsequent pages.

7. simplify stamp tool. one click only for default stamp selected by user.

   a lot of us use the stamp tool frequently, it is very cumbersome, needs to do many clicks to stamp for each page.
   let the user choose a default stamp to use repeatedly with one click only. other PDF software can do it. such as PDF-X change editor. I am sure The King- -acrobat DC pro should able to do it.

8. Adobe Sign - provide option to amend message after uploading pdf

   When using Acorbat's Adobe Sign tool to configure a document for signatures, the standard message to recipients is "Please review and sign this document." I often customize this message. However, you get only one opportunity to edit it: after clicking "specify where to sign," triggering the upload process, you cannot change the message to recipients. At that point your only options are to either (1) cancel and start the whole process over, or (2) send for signatures. I suggest that the user should be provided a second opportunity to review and amend the message to recipients after clicking to send for signatures

9. simplify default folder selection for Save As

   The Acrobat Save As window exists mostly to ask whether to save locally or to a cloud location. Since I don't use cloud storage for active documents, that's a useless window for me. I imagine maybe some others only use cloud storage. So I have a suggestion to save time for many of us.

   Please allow the user to set a Preference for a default file storage domain (local or cloud, and (if cloud) which cloud service). Then skip the current Acrobat Save As window and jump directly to the native Save As window for the default domain. That would eliminate one window (and one click) from the process for saving files.

   In addition, please have the program remember the last location (e.g., folder) where it saved a file, and initialize the Save As dialog with that location.

   I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro Continuous Release I Version 2023.003.20244 I 64-bit

10. Font default setting ineffective for add text comment

    A couple weeks ago I set my font in preferences/content editing/font options as 10 point Cambria. Every day the first time I type comments on a PDF the font that starts off is 12 point Helvetica. As far as I can tell Acrobat Standard DC makes no use of the information a user puts into preferences/content editing/font options.I don't care that much about whether I am typing in Helvetica versus Cambria but I correct the Acrobat font from 12 point to 10 point every workday. There are some features of your new Acrobat that I like better than the old but on previous editions of Acrobat setting a default font worked; requiring the user to correct the font every day is a bug in Acrobat DC that needs correction.

11. How do I get the toolbar to default to last settings?

    Allow adobe acrobat to default to last settings. I use pan and rectangle fill for highlighting when reviewing drawings but the toolbar always defaults back to Select instead of pan, and Draw instead of rectangle. There used to be an option to "Make handtool the default tool". That is now gone. Why doesn't Adobe just default to your last settings across the board?

12. Link default saving option

    Link Option
    when created a hyperlink for a page view option and selected a page from another pdf and saved, the default option to open the hyperlink when clicked is set to "Windows set by user prefrence". There should be an option to set it to any option available there.
    All the other parameters are saved as per the last saved prefrences, only this doesnt change.
    Hope you would look in to this and do the needful and its the best PDF software.

13. error message when creating pdf

    Today when I try to create a PDF from a word doc, I receive an error message when the word file opens that "windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup."

    I have not made any changes to my printer, printer drivers, word software or Adobe software.

    I also get a similar error message when trying to create a PDF from a spreadsheet. Again, I haven't made any changes here.

    What should I do? I am completely out of ideas.

14. Changing layer default visibility state is awkward and sometimes does not save

    I use Acrobat PRO DC in prepress to switch layer visibility in PDF's that are linked to Illustrator imposition file. Usually I need to change 2-5 layer visibility. The process involves awkwardly too many steps to change a default visibility state of a layer in order for it to be saved. And when trying to save changes sometimes it fails. To correct the issue I usually have to rotate the page CCW and back CW and just then the layer visibility state can be saved. Please look at this as it consumes time and needs too many steps to complete such a simple task.

16. Default color palettes should be the same across all android, windows & mac devices

    When working with a document in different devices (in my case Android and windows PC devices), the default color palettes for commenting are different. They should be similar to ensure the colors are the same across any device.

17. Track Comments Feature Must Be Activated

    We are currently facing an issue with the "Track Comments" feature under "Send for Comments" in the latest version of Adobe Acrobat:

    In the latest version, the feature cannot be added.
    In the previous version, the feature could be added, but it appeared in a disabled state and could not be activated.
    This functionality is essential for our document review workflows and must be enabled as soon as possible.

    We have already contacted Adobe Support, and they advised us to submit this issue as an enhancement request via UserVoice.
    However, due to the operational impact, we are requesting immediate internal escalation and resolution.

19. Default Bookmark View

    There used be a setting where you would create a bookmark and it would capture whatever the view ...... not zoom......view of the page. For example, lets say I am bookmarking a picture on a page and its sort of to the lower middle of the page and small. I used to use the dynamic zoom to this object and bookmark it. The bookmark would not only keep the custom zoom, but the location on the page as well. After the most recent update, this option is no longer default. You have to go bookmark by bookmark and adjust them individually under their bookmark properties then action. Not sure why this option was taken away. I've used it for over 5 years and it worked beautifully. Is there a way to bring it back with the next update?

    Whenever a page is copied with a text box on it, the text box defaults to left aligned and shrinks to the size of the text. Then I need to stretch the text box to the edges of the screen and click center text again. This would be avoided if there was a way to center the text box on the text. At least have the text box of a copied page inherit the properties of the page it came from. This would significantly reduce the tedium of creating pages identical aside from the text centered on each page.

    TLDR: Text boxes from copied pages should inherit the attributes from previous page, but allowing the text box to center on the text on top of this would be a significant improvement.
