  1. Building PDFs from Dita open toolkit.
PDF builds fine (toolkit renders no errors) BUT doc tab/title contains
    "XMP structure: 1"
Open document properties and edit doc title to desired value
Click OK - XMP metadata error occurs.

  2. There is a bug in the Word to PDF conversion process that is causing footnotes to not tag properly. The footnote text is recognized under the <Note> tag, but the link to the footnote within the text is missing. This issue comes up when using the "Save as..." PDF option. The footnote tags appear correctly when converting using the Adobe Acrobat "Create PDF" add-on in Word. This issue occurs with both Mac and Windows computers.

  3. How can a dynamic field for the filename be added to a footer. There is a button for page number & date only. This is a huge deficiency.

  4. When DC Pro is set to single page display (scrolling is easier/more precise) ctrl+a only selects the current page

Adobe say this is not a bug, but I believe it is because ctrl+a should select all, not just the page being viewed

As this basic functionality is altered by a simple setting it is a bug

So they suggested making a feature request

Please make DC Pro select all (not just the current page) when the select all shortcut is used while in single page mode

  7. Dear Adobe:

Please redesign the icon graphic for the "insert page" button in Acrobat. Right now, the icon looks too similar to the "extract page" icon, and does not seem to match the action that it causes. This is confusing and makes the software less intuitive.

The "insert page" icon shows an arrow that originates in the center of a single page and points outside of that page. This suggests that something is being taken OUT of the page/document, when in fact the "insert" action is exactly the opposite. In other words, the arrow should originate from outside of the…

  8. Adobe has such band behavior. Always trying to force users to use its own email or go through its own system. It should be easy to click a button and either save to my desktop, or dropbox without having to go through several menus. Same with email, there should be a simple button to send a copy of document through my own email of my own preference. Very annoying and very childish and insecure culture at Adobe

  9. The font for filling in forms is a very bad one since it is sans serif, which means that capital "i" and small "l" are identical. Not good since you can't be sure if a name begins with double "l" or "il", for example.

  10. Recently we have updated to SHA-256 IdP.
Unfortunately since then the option to see logon events is not available anymore.
Please make it available again as it helps while troubleshooting or confirm correct functionality after changes.

  11. When editing templates previously created, the text field-area moves and includes different parts of the text even if they were in completely different boxes.
I came back to a template and experienced the attached. It prints out that way as well. This is very frustrating because I don't know how to get the original text back.

  12. Currently, PDFMaker tags table headers as <TH> when "Header Row" and/or "First Column" are checked in Word. However, it does not change the default scope, column span, or row span of the headers based on these values.

    Description of desired feature:
    * For each table header tag added by "Header Row", set the Scope attribute to "Column".
    * For each table header tag added by "First Column", set the Scope attribute to "Row".
    * If both "Header Row" and "First Column" are checked, and the data cell in the first row and column is not empty, set the Scope attribute…

  17. Can we use Windows group policy to opt-out on data collection for users for privacy reasons? By default it's set to opt-in for a user before they log on but we would like to opt-out without the users' intervention.

  19. Hi,

Could you add a number of week (w) in the list of ACCEPTED VALUES FOR PORTIONS OF DATES in Acrobat Pro DC?
    Examples:
    - ww-yyyy (38-2020)
    - ww-yy (38-20)
    - ect.
It will be helpful for PDF files which contain date field in this format and it needs to be editable (manually by an operator and automatically generated in Acrobat Pro DC) each time when PDF files are opened for a print or any other job.
It is not possible to get this format of a date even with option Custom in Prepare Form/Format/Date/Custom.

    Thank you in advance and…

  20. I've recently had Acrobat DC installed so that I could use the collaborative cloud sharing features to simplify the collection of signatures for document approvals. I've been unable to share any document. The software does not allow me to sign in. I appear as signed in when I look at the help menu but when I try to share a document it asks me to sign in again. I click on "sign in" and no other prompts or windows open. It's like the button isn't working.
