  1. I create documents for court that have many pages and require many bookmarks. There should be a way to auto create the page destination for each bookmark.

I use javascript to create the bookmark and to create the page destination. However, that inserts one line of javascript in set action such as "this.pageNum = 12" which works fine.

However the NYS courts now will not permit a document to be uploaded with even one line of javascript.

I do not know about the other states, but NY has this rule.

  2. Vertical scroll bar is missing on Adobe Acrobat DC version 2021.007.20091, making it extremely difficult to navigate pages. I've tried all solutions available online, including turning off Touch Mode. The scroll bar is still missing. Please make this a standard upon startup. Additionally, toolbars disappear upon every startup. Settings aren't saving. I've tried Repair Installation feature as well. No luck.

  3. Cannot use my touch screen to scroll a pdf. There used to be a little hand on the tool bar that I could click to make the touch screen scrolling work. However, the latest update to the reader seems to have removed that. I cannot find a way to turn on the touch screen scrolling now. Very annoying. Can you tell me how to fix this either permanently or as I did before by clicking on the little hand?

  4. The dropdown "Find" window used to search documents for keywords is always a problem — it slows down scrolling to an annoyingly low level. Please put the "Find" window in the bar of the program interface to alleviate the scrolling problem.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with Find tool. Could you please tell me more about the workflow that you’re performing while using the Find tool?

    Thanks

I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
Can you share with us the acrobat version and the operating system you are using
Also some sample PDFs with which you are facing this issue.

  6. I use the bookmarks and split pages by them, but the new version of View has a bug.
The function doesn't save the files in my destination folder and also forgets the choice to use the "Top level bookmarks" option and has just split the files in the original folder.
I didn't have a problem splitting pages in the previous view.
I hope you can fix this.
I have to do the same thing repeatedly, sometimes it works, but usually it doesn't.

  7. As of version (mac) 23.6.20320.0, the vertical scroll bars were removed, as confirmed by your support team.

Why oh why? This breaks workflows. Please add them back, or minimally add a preference to enable them.

(Note that they sometimes appear temporarily, but then disappear.)

  8. Scrolling creates lines so I can't see the content. I have to click on the mouse after scrolling a tiny bit before I can see the content. So inefficient.

  9. I have to navigate to "View", "Page Display" and click on "Enable Scrolling" every time I open or reopen a document because Adobe Acrobat does not recall my previous navigation/view settings.

This is such a simple user experience feature I would have expected to be sorted out in one of the early versions.

  12. Add bookmark feature that will mark a whole section of pages in a pdf that can be extracted later as a separate document. This would allow better management of the merging and un-merging multiple pdfs into and out of a larger pdf file. This would be helpful if only one chapter in a pdf file needs to be removed, edited and then replaced.

  13. Needless to say, I print a lot from Acrobat. It bugs me constantly that when the print dialog comes up, it's too big to fit entirely on the screen. The actual "print" button is off screen on the bottom, and requires scrolling down to be able to click it. That should not be the case. Even more annoying is the fact that the dialog itself, although it has a scroll bar, is not responsive to my scrollwheel mouse. It absolutely should be.

  15. I use dual portrait monitors to look at 2 PDFs at the same time (usually a copy of a tax return on one screen and source documents on the other). The bookmarks are very important to me, but when the bookmark pane is on the left, it makes the PDF itself too small and defeats the purpose of using portrait monitors. However, if I could put the navigation pane at the top (below the tool bar) and display the bookmarks at the top of my screen, that would be very helpful. I looked all over but couldn't find this as…

  16. Option to keep page and bookmark navigation panes open. I use them everyday. Every single time I open/create a new pdf, I have to open panes. Haven't found a way to keep them open if it exists.

  17. in the new versions of Adobe, the browse for folder function - to open or save a file - is useless. Contrast it to every other conventional windows application, looking more like Windows Explorer where you can easily navigate to a folder, subfolder, file - but in Adobe, it immediately requires scrolling down, then selecting, scrolling down more, selecting a subfolder, etc.

  18. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC has a lot of really good editing features that are not available when using SharePoint - specifically the Dynamic Stamp functions and adding bookmarks to a pdf...both really helpful when sharing pdfs with others!

  19. I chose the option "Single page continuous" as my default in preferences, but it doesn't work.

Steps to reproduce: Choose "Single Page Continuous" in preferences. Open a pdf document for the first time.

    Environment: Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 ; Adobe Acrobat Continuous Release | Version 2024.005.20320 | 64-bit

    Expected behavior: Continuous scrolling.

    Observed behavior: Page-wise scrolling.

  20. Acrobat Reader likes to auto-generate URLs and other links.
This is generally good for users, and they can turn it on or off.

However, there are times when distributing that clients don't want them. It is possible to change global settings, but it creates problems for bookmarks, internal links, and accessibility.

So, it would be great if there could be a feature to prevent the auto-generation of links in Acrobat, so only the ones that will exist are by design.
