  1. I would like to request for multiple fields edits in one go.

I use InDesign to create digital forms. After exporting the work, I opened the PDF in Acrobat. In my example, I have 4 rows of Date of Birth. I usually edit the DoB to custom dd/mm/yyyy. Acrobat as it is today, only allows me to edit the field one cell at a time which in my case I have to edit 4 times. Imagine if I have a table with 20 date of birth cells. That's 20 edits!!

I would like the ability to select all…

  2. I would be extremely helpful to have "dynamic" (for lack of a better term) paragraph fields, that do one or both of the following:

    1. The field expands as the person filling out the form enters text that extends beyond the pre-set dimensions

    and/or

    1. Automatically reduces the font size to fit the field if the person filling out the form enters text that threatens to extend beyond the pre-set dimensions of the field.

If this feature exists and I am missing something, please feel free to comment and let me know!

    Thanks!

  4. Can you please include the Insert Text Comment feature in the shared review? This feature is available in Acrobat Reader and in the not-shared COMMENT review toolbar. As a basic comment tool, I am quite surprised (and very frustrated) that this is not available for collaborative commenting.

Specifically referring to "Insert Text" as described here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/mark-text-edits.html#insert_text

  5. When inserting form fields, Acrobat classic had a pushpin icon in the toolbar called "keep tool selected." With that enabled, after choosing and inserting one form field, the tool stayed active so you could insert more fields. But you had the option to disable it and just insert one field at a time.

In the new experience, it seems the tool staying active to insert multiple fields is the default. That is fine in itself, but there isn't a way to turn it off so you can insert fields individually.

    Bring back the functionality to…

  6. 1) Open the attached file in Adobe Pro DC.
    2) Click on "Scan & OCR"
    3) Click on "Correct recognized text"
    4) Toggle on "Review recognized text"
    5) In the "Recognized as" text area, change "th~" to "those"
    6) Push Apply
    7) Select Menu>Export a PDF>text (plain) and export a file and look at it.

Notice after the correction, "those" slightly overlaps the word to the right of it and no longer matches the length of the underlying text of the image. Before the correction, there was a space between "th~" and "of", but after correction and…

  7. I am using files save in .pdf form. When I use Acrobat DC to edit, I frequently get text that becomes crushed, as attached. Possibly to unusual names or words. If I cut and retype the section. I get character on character!

Please explain. How do I correct, please

  8. Would you disable, or at least provide an option to disable, a popup when highlighting a text? This is very annoying because this occludes text I am currently reviewing. Please do not interfere with the user's intended task. It is up to the users who will decide what to do with the highlighted text - after reviewing it thoroughly. Blocking it with the pop up interferes the work process.

  9. Hello, I was recently filling out this W4 form on Acrobat, and had an issue where when I filled out the form in high contrast mode all of my text was inputted as white text on a white background (so it was invisible). To replicate the problem, turn on windows high contrast "night theme" (which many low vision and photosensitive users rely on). Then fill out the w4 form and print the first page. You'll find it appears to be blank as the text is white. I saw comments on this that were five years old or more and it's…

  10. PLEASE fix so text boxes stop combining. I KNOW Acrobat is not an "editiing" app but I have to make contact sheets from multiple products and sources from Adobe Bridge. Then the client needs a couple changes, or we need to update an area on the contact sheet ONLY. Constantly have to fight to redo text. Not editable in other apps - Illustrator can only open one page at a time. Can't edit PDF in Indesign. Can't edit in Word. These are NATIVE pdf's from Bridge. Thank you.

  11. Text selection is really really bad, on most documents (even on well structured digital documents). I cannot describe how frustrating it is to use in the day to day.

Best workaround is to screenshot documents and use the text recognition of the snipping tool (on windows), that while not always perfect, is miles ahead of the text selection on Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe cannot not know that issue at this point, after all those years developing and maintaining acrobat and still this bad in inconceivable. Hope to see an improvement on that part one day!

  12. Acrobat Pro does not always allow the text selection tool to actually select text (in OCR'd or otherwise readable text distilled from a Word doc or whatever). Quitting the app then restarting solves the problem, temporarily, but later the bug returns. There are threads about this on Reddit and other places. I am not able to produce a screenshot because I cannot capture a picture of Acrobat not allowing the selection tool to work.

  13. Please make it easier to move text. I have spent hours (and am developing RSI) trying to move text that I have moved before - it takes dozens/hundreds of clicks to get the box around the text to show sufficiently to grab it and move it. I spent the $$ for AA Pro DC, so thought such a basic thing would have been fixed .... Please let me know when it is fixed so that I can edit my document without wasting any more time - I have a week or so before it goes to the printers ...…

  14. In the old version of Adobe Acrobat, when you were in the process of preparing/editing a form, you could "Preview" the form. It was very useful because you could go back and forth between changing the modifiable fields and seeing the document as someone else would see it. This feature is no longer available. Now, you have to exit the form section to preview and then go back into the form section to edit again, which is such a headache.

  15. When editing a text box the text does not provide a preview of what it will look like at a certain width with the text wrap. This is a feature Bluebeam has that makes it quick and easy to see how the text box will appear as you adjust the size, saving time.

  16. I'm unable to type in any text box because all fields are being recognized as signature fields. Sometimes the program will briefly recognize it as a text field right at startup for a second, the then program flickers as if it's finished loading and all fields are recognized as form fields. The fields are titled appropriately (highlighted text in screenshot), none of the fields are titled 'signature'. This started mid-morning after using the forms correctly a few times. I since restarted the app and my computer, and checked for updates, with no help.

  17. Add a color background to new text boxes ie. a white background so that text placed over other text or images effectively erases what the text box is placed over allowing new text to be seen clearly.

  18. testing the fillable fields in my PDF form. Tabbing to the next field is no longer working? Why?
Instead of tabbing to the next field, I am getting the comments function popping up, with a marker in a random location on the page. Why?
If this happens to me, what is this going to do for someone who is filling in the form?

  19. Please stop auto text recognition when I click on edit PDF by default. This function causes the file to freeze especially if I am working with large documents that contain layouts or drawings. It wastes a huge amount of time to wait until the application restarts again after a long freeze.

  20. This is a serious bug in Adobe Acrobat version 24.1+, where the "Add Text" tool attempts to edit existing text in a document. Often, users wish to simply add text to a document, but if the page is crowded (such as an IRS form), the application attempts to edit the closest text around the cursor instead of simply adding additional text to the document.

Previously there was a tool called "Typewriter" which only added text. Adobe removed this tool in favor of the "Add Text" tool, which was a very bad decision IMO.

    The intent of…
