1. Disable popup when selecting text

   Would you disable, or at least provide an option to disable, a popup when highlighting a text? This is very annoying because this occludes text I am currently reviewing. Please do not interfere with the user's intended task. It is up to the users who will decide what to do with the highlighted text - after reviewing it thoroughly. Blocking it with the pop up interferes the work process.

2. Insert text comment

   Can you please include the Insert Text Comment feature in the shared review? This feature is available in Acrobat Reader and in the not-shared COMMENT review toolbar. As a basic comment tool, I am quite surprised (and very frustrated) that this is not available for collaborative commenting.

3. Ability to disable "keep tool selected" when inserting form fields

   When inserting form fields, Acrobat classic had a pushpin icon in the toolbar called "keep tool selected." With that enabled, after choosing and inserting one form field, the tool stayed active so you could insert more fields. But you had the option to disable it and just insert one field at a time.

   In the new experience, it seems the tool staying active to insert multiple fields is the default. That is fine in itself, but there isn't a way to turn it off so you can insert fields individually.

   Bring back the functionality to choose whether to insert multiple fields by keeping the tool selected, or not to use that feature so you can insert fields one at a time.

4. Difficulty moving text

   Please make it easier to move text. I have spent hours (and am developing RSI) trying to move text that I have moved before - it takes dozens/hundreds of clicks to get the box around the text to show sufficiently to grab it and move it. I spent the $$ for AA Pro DC, so thought such a basic thing would have been fixed .... Please let me know when it is fixed so that I can edit my document without wasting any more time - I have a week or so before it goes to the printers ... Thanks

5. Slider control field

   Just like text boxes, check boxes, dropdown lists, etc are available controls to add to a form, it would be great to have a slider control as well. This control should be able to be horizontal or vertical, specify the default location of the slider, specify min and max values for a 0 - 100 percentage of the slider and assign a value to the percentage starting at the min to the max (IE 0% of the slider could be a value of 0 and a value of 100% could be 500 and a value of 50% would be 250 in this case. The form designer could then take the value for this control and perform math calulations on it like add it to other values, etc.

6. Add background color to text boxes

   Add a color background to new text boxes ie. a white background so that text placed over other text or images effectively erases what the text box is placed over allowing new text to be seen clearly.

7. Text recognition

   Please stop auto text recognition when I click on edit PDF by default. This function causes the file to freeze especially if I am working with large documents that contain layouts or drawings. It wastes a huge amount of time to wait until the application restarts again after a long freeze.

8. Acrobat and Windows High Contrast Mode: Text Appearing Invisible

   Hello, I was recently filling out this W4 form on Acrobat, and had an issue where when I filled out the form in high contrast mode all of my text was inputted as white text on a white background (so it was invisible). To replicate the problem, turn on windows high contrast "night theme" (which many low vision and photosensitive users rely on). Then fill out the w4 form and print the first page. You'll find it appears to be blank as the text is white. I saw comments on this that were five years old or more and it's a WCAG/ADA violation. Please fix this, thanks.

9. Stop text boxes from combining

   PLEASE fix so text boxes stop combining. I KNOW Acrobat is not an "editiing" app but I have to make contact sheets from multiple products and sources from Adobe Bridge. Then the client needs a couple changes, or we need to update an area on the contact sheet ONLY. Constantly have to fight to redo text. Not editable in other apps - Illustrator can only open one page at a time. Can't edit PDF in Indesign. Can't edit in Word. These are NATIVE pdf's from Bridge. Thank you.

10. Email confirmations when submitting a web form

    When submitting a web form adobe will ask for your email address, sometimes you accidently misspell your email and the form is then lost. Adobe should add a feature where the form publisher can toggle an option to where the form signer has to type in their email twice or confirm their email to avoid this issue.

11. CRITICAL BUG: Link Alternative text is NOT accessible (07_11_23)

    Link Alternative text is not accessible -- the latest version of Acrobat is not creating an /Alt entry in the Tag Element when you add alternative text using the Link Alternative text box. Therefore, alternative text added with version 2023.003.20215 Acrobat DC Pro will not be read by a screen reader or other AT. Previous versions of Acrobat created an /Alt entry in the Tag Element when Alternative text was added to a Link Tag. This version does not.
    What is the purpose of providing an Alternate Description for Links field if it will not be accessible to AT? If there is a purpose then you should note to users that "this field will not be accessible to AT".

    The link above is where this conversation is listed. You need to fix this. It makes everyone who uses your program angry and it messes up so many documents. It's ridiculous trying to do anything with it because it automatically chooses to move where the text boxes are when created in Acrobat. It's not acceptable to just say this is not an editing program. It doesn't matter. The product you provide does not fulfill the needs of your customers and it is causing MAJOR issues when trying to do just about anything related to text boxes.

    Yes. Return to the source document and its application, and create the original document correctly. Acrobat is not designed to do editing and design/layout.

    This is such a garbage answer. "Adobe isn't designed to do editing". Acrobat Pro software application is CHANGING existing formatted text without the user's consent and then you have no REAL answer on how to fix it. It does this automatically whenever saving a document.

    Your not providing a solution because it does this even when the document was CREATED through Acrobat. For example, if I create a text box with the letter A. Alvarez (A being the initial for the first name and Alvarez being the last name), Adobe Acrobat PRO decides to separate these into different text boxes despite being formatted originally as ONE text box. It's beyond frustrating and your excuses are not acceptable. This is lazy customer service and lazy software design.

13. Text Box Default

    The majority of time I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC I want my text box properties to be Arial, Blue, Bold and in Italics. Every time I select the Add Text tool I have to re-select these properties, it is very redundant and diminishes my productivity. From what I understand Adobe Acrobat used to allow a default to be set to accomplish this that is no longer available. Please bring it back.

14. Two Page View - Text & Copy/Paste Bug

    Using PDF Form in two page mode, copy and paste is only functioning correctly for a few minutes; before having issues selecting text, entering text, copy and pasting text. Switch back to single page resolves issue immediately. Issue in two page mode has been persistent and consistent in occurrence, i.e replicable.

15. BUG: Add Text Tool Always Attempts to Edit Existing Text

    This is a serious bug in Adobe Acrobat version 24.1+, where the "Add Text" tool attempts to edit existing text in a document. Often, users wish to simply add text to a document, but if the page is crowded (such as an IRS form), the application attempts to edit the closest text around the cursor instead of simply adding additional text to the document.

    Previously there was a tool called "Typewriter" which only added text. Adobe removed this tool in favor of the "Add Text" tool, which was a very bad decision IMO.

    The intent of the user should be considered before removing a feature. Some users may want the ability to edit text in a PDF, and that's fine. However, wanting to add text vs editing text is completely different - especially when filling out PDFs that were not prepared as forms (like the IRS and state tax boards often do). Having the ability to add text to a document and not edit existing text is a crucial feature.

    Workaround:
    Use a different PDF editor (non-Adobe). Most have a typewriter feature, thankfully.

    Copy & Paste of a field - Within a document works as expected - the formatting, naming of the field is consistent. However if you copy paste into a different document, the field properties seem to reset (if this was correct, why would you copy/paste & not just insert a new field) - expected behaviour would be to keep same size/format/code/name & position(if possible, if not centred on screen).

    Only noted work-around, is to copy existing page into new document, copy/paste field from one page to another & then deleted the inserted page. - Comment elsewhere requests a MS Office style 'format painter' - this too would be a good alternative (or like the eyedropper tool in Illustrator)

18. BUG - Modal at Bottom of Form Duplicates Itself Constantly

    Zoom in to 300 (might also occur more or less but figuring out the exact steps to duplicate this takes a lot of time even though I accidentally cause it to happen all of the time). Start clicking on the horizontal scroll bar arrows multiple times, or hold/scroll with the actual horizontal scroll bar and eventually this will happen. I think something is triggering it to scroll in both directions... maybe something with the mouse causes it to also scroll vertically... but adobe will render up to three modals (from what I've seen) and then sometimes two of them stay stuck to the page and won't disappear until you scroll off of them.

20. Required form fields don't seem to work when the user saves, or prints

    If a required field is not completed, it seems logical the user should not be able to save or print the form, and there should be a prompt to complete required information
