BUG - Keyboard activation of comment tools not working
Typing into the text while the comment menu is open usually activates the relevant comment tools (eg. striketrough, add text etc.) but this function seems to be broken since the last update.
Working like this – having to choose a new tool each time from the menu (three mouse clicks as opposed to no clicks) – is highly frustrating when you use Acrobat for heavy professional editing jobs.
This is my main use of acrobat. Please fix asap.1 vote -
rotation of comment drawing tools
there is no option to rotate the drawing which i made, like rectangle, oval, polygon, cloud etc. Many a times i need to rotate the figure a bit to make others understand better. Please work on it & make a change in the next update

It would be of great help adding a "Technical Drawing Border" in Tools
When I make a technical drawing and save it on PDF I usually go to tools and add a rectangle as a basic border. It would be great and very helpful having an option for adding a technical drawing border instead of a simple rectangle (see attached sample)/

Need dedicated rotate clockwise/counterclockwise buttons on the quick tool bar like older versions.
Older versions had dedicated buttons on the quick tool bar for rotate clockwise and rotate counterclockwise. The current release only has a single button for rotation that opens a separate box, requiring more clicks. The only way to have dedicated buttons that I've found is to open the page thumbnails pane.

Hide 128-bit RC4 from pick lists
With FIPS mode disabled, users have three selections of encryption levels:
* Acrobat 6.0 and later compatibility (128-bit RC4)
* Acrobat 7.0 and later compatibility (128-bit AES)
* Acrobat X and later compatibility (256-bit AES)There is concern amongst our security community that 128-bit RC4 is not a very strong encryption method. We would like to be able to prevent users from choosing this option. It would be helpful if there were a security policy or registry setting that would allow us to hide this encryption selection from all menus.

Tool bars
Would be great if more customization would allow user to choose to see only the tools they would like to see. Way too many tools on tool bar that are not used. The unused ones take up space that I would prefer to have the tools i use often occupy. Results in multiple unnecessary clicks to access the tools I do use. I have customized the quick tool bar but when reviewing a document in portrait mode only 2 of those are displayed - and can only access the others with additional clicks. Please Allow Sidebar to Be Hidden and Thumbnails to Be Resized in Organize Pages Tool
Dear Adobe Team,
In Adobe Acrobat Pro 2023, the Organize Pages tool automatically forces the left-hand sidebar (Navigation Pane) to open, and there is currently no option to hide or collapse it while staying in the Organize Pages view. Additionally, the thumbnail sizes within this tool are fixed and cannot be resized.
This significantly reduces usable screen space, especially when working with large documents on smaller monitors. Attempting to close the sidebar (e.g., pressing F4) exits the Organize Pages view entirely, which disrupts workflow and is unintuitive.

C++ plugin SDK ability to disable share, combine files and compare files tools
I am creating a C++ plugin for Acrobat, where in user can use this plugin and open the file from secured DB using Virtual file system. However, need to restrict all forms of sharing or extracting of contents from the PDF which is opened.
I tried using AVDocOpenFromPDDocWithParams and specified a permReqProc, using this I was able to restrict most of the tools from copying or extracting contents. i.e., Edit PDF, organize Pages, Prepare form etc.
However, the following tools seems to be not honoring the permReqProc and still content is being extracted from the already opened PDF Document.

The Zoom In (+) and Zoom Out (-) buttons missing from tool bar.
The Zoom In (+) and Zoom Out (-) buttons, and the zoom percentage text box disappeared from my toolbar, and I can't get them back. These controls are only accessible through the menus or the undocked floating panel. Re-docking the panel doesn't bring these controls with it. Right-click "Show Select & Zoom Tools" doesn't even list them.

create custom scanning tools not working in Version 2018.011.20035
My Adobe Acrobat DC updated overnight and now my custom scanning tools do not work. Previously I had a custom tool I named scanning with two shortcuts. One for black and white scan, and another for custom scan which I set up to scan both sides. After the update, my scanning tool and shortcuts were there, but they don't work. I tried to recreate, but I cannot scan anything without going to file > create > PDF from scanner, which then brings up enhanced scans. The Black & White tool in the Create Custom Tool does not work. Save related methods are not being invoked for Tools->export
In the plugin code, I am trying to intercept/replace AVDocDoSave, AVDocDoSaveAs, PDDocSave etc functions to identify the original file when the user tries to export the file from Tools option, and I see that none of the above functions are being called in this flow. But this seems to work when we try export from Menu bar.
This bug is to report the same. I have tried this in Adobe 24 version on mac OS Sonoma. But I think this is applicable to pervious versions as well

Option to Hide Name of Comment Author and Date of Comment
In a long document with multiple comments, the name of the comment author, and date of the comment, clutters up the actual comments and makes them difficult to read. It would be much cleaner if there were an option to hide the name of the comment author and date of the comment in the comments panel. Thank you

copy text from PDF including changes (e.g. made with "strikethrough" or "insert" tools)
In the commenting mode for Acrobat DC Pro, there are "strikethrough", "replace", and "insert text" tools, among others.
When I select and copy some text (for example, to count the words or rephrase it in another window), it copies the original text and disregards anything crossed out or inserted. This means I have to re-do all the changes by hand.
It would be great if one could copy the text in a way that incorporates the changes, similar to how you can opt to copy text with or without formatting, in some programs.

User- Friendly Accessibility Tagging
Please change the way Adobe Acrobat does the reading order so that the tags in the tags pane will automatically correspond to the order in the Touch- up reading order pane.
Also please make it easier to tag links - when I try to tag links it doesn't work right. Please consider creating a version of Adobe Acrobat that makes it easy to comply with Section 508 as described at Section508.gov. Dealing with the tags pane is a nightmare and also the unmarked annotations issue and other issues are a nightmare and don't fix easily. Please make this easier…11 votesHi,

Annoying form/instruction bar at top of window is a 10-year-old problem
Overlay bars that are not easily hidden and may contain conflicts with the actual content of the document have been objected to 10 years ago, and the "Signed and all signatures are valid. What happened to the view menu?
After the latest update, the View menu has disappeared from my Acrobat, This is a feature I used almost every time I opened Acrobat to switch between one and two-page view. Now I can't find it. I'm also having problems finding other freqently used tools. The cloud has some convenient features, but automatic updates that hide frequently used tools are super frustrating. I miss the old days when I could just pay for software, own it, and update it when I wanted to.
