  1. Please include Hindi text recognition while editing hindi pdf documents or exporting to MS word or RTF format.

    There is a huge market requirement for this feature and we are struggling with it currently.

  2. Mac OS offers the option of using text abbreviations to insert several words or entire sentences (text replacements). For example, "#--" becomes "delete hyphen". Acrobat used to understand and implement these abbreviations. Since the version from December 2023, this no longer works. Please restore the function.

  3. I have Windows 10 and Adobe Standard v. 2018.011.20038 and when I create a form and click on "Prepare Form" there is a pop up box that says "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then the program shuts down. I have updated the program, clicked on "Repair Installation" and nothing has corrected this issue. Please help!

  4. I edit PDF documents and need to look consistently at different sections of each page at a time. Currently, I need to just look at the bottom section of each page, while zoomed in. If I go to navigate to the next page, the view automatically goes to the top of the next page which necessitates me scrolling down each time. I'd love functionality where you can navigate to the next page and you'd be "anchored" at the bottom of the page rather than the top. Thanks! : )

  5. No matter how I put the info the simplified field notation I can not get the calculation to run. Tried adding a new text box, changing the names to be one continuous name, minimizing the name, and etc. I need help in to determine what's wrong so I can use Forms in DC Pro 2020.013.20074.18474.

  6. Open an existing comment bubble popup that has text in it. Select (highlight) the text. Now just move the mouse cursor slightly outside of the comment popup boundary. The text you highlighted becomes unhighlighted! I can’t even express how maddeningly frustrating this is. We have hundreds of edits a day that we need to copy the comment text out of Acrobat.

    We are CONSTANTLY selecting the text, hitting COMMAND+C, switching over to a different program to paste, only to realize that either nothing gets pasted in or the text from the previous edit is still on the clipboard.…

  7. When inserting text onto my pdf file, the text box ends up "copying and pasting" onto other pages in my document randomly. This is super frustrating because accuracy is incredibly important for my job.

  8. When I click on a field to populate, the text box becomes black. Therefore I cannot see what I type in the field. How do I change this?! I need to complete a document as soon as possible, and this issue is holding me up. Thanks.

  9. I'm having to fill out some forms with the manual text placements and I noticed placing mono-spaced text is not really graceful to do.

    Feels like it would help if it'd scale starting from the leftmost part of the bounding box for the first character instead of the center of the first character as seen

    Thanks for reporting this issue but this is not planned for immediate future. We will let you know in case we have any updates.

  10. I build all our business processing forms and agreements in LiveCycle Designer. Once the document is set up, I save the file. I then do a 'Save as Other-->Reader Extended PDF-->Enable More Tools (including form fill-in and save)'. This allows the end user to open the PDF in Adobe Reader, fill in the form fields, and save the completed form to their computer. This week, when attempting to do what I have been doing the past several years with this 'Save as Other' function, I get an error message "This document could not be Reader Enabled."

  11. When entering two signatories - The first signatory with a signature line, print line, title line and date line, they are automatically required by a red *. When there is a second signatory, the fields are all required except for the date. This should also be able to be mandatory. If you change this to a text box then you can make it mandatory. You should be able to format it like the date and make it mandatory like the first one.

  12. 1) Open the attached file in Adobe Pro DC.
    2) Click on "Scan & OCR"
    3) Click on "Correct recognized text"
    4) Toggle on "Review recognized text"
    5) In the "Recognized as" text area, change "th~" to "those"
    6) Push Apply
    7) Select Menu>Export a PDF>text (plain) and export a file and look at it.

    Notice after the correction, "those" slightly overlaps the word to the right of it and no longer matches the length of the underlying text of the image. Before the correction, there was a space between "th~" and "of", but after correction and…

  13. One used to be able to insert comment to replace text by simply highlighting/selecting it and start typing. Please reinstate! Now I must right-click and select "Add note to replace text". I use this feature a lot when going through my students' work or proofreading, often hundreds of times in a day, and it is taking much longer than it used to with 3 times as many mouse clicks (not good for my arm!).

  14. Bug: when adding text (Function [A]) in Reader 2024.002.20759, sometimes
    - the text becomes non-editable. Becomes editable again, if you add a new text field on the same page.
    - the text appears on random different pages
    - the text disappears.
    I started to use Reader again, because the added text is searchable, compared to a competitors free tool.
    But these bugs are really annoying.

    Another bug: sometimes the original text is not readable or completely disappears. If you mark / select it, it appears again.

    When adding new functions, pls make sure, the ones that work since 20 years,…

  15. It should be possible to copy the text easily from a highlight. Right now, this is almost impossible. (One had to switch to the Edit tool). Why not create a Copy Highlight item in the context menu. Or, when one clicks on and selects a highlight, why not simply let CMD-C do the job?

  16. When I created my contract and used the Prepare a Form function to add all the fields, it took an hour to edit every field to have a Name, a Tool Tip, field type, required/not required, and I had THREE possible assignees: the SENDER, SIGNER 1, and SIGNER 2.
    THEN, when I was ready to request E Signatures, I added the emails for two signers, and it didn't save ANY of the field names or who they were assigned to. Since I am not a signer, but just a sender, there was no way for me to compete the …

  18. Trying to combine 12 files into one single PDF. Multiple files have form fields that are similar. Adobe will not combine the files individually and forces me to create a portfolio. When I send the portfolio doc out it cannot be read. What a waste of time. Why can't we combine similar fillable forms with different data into one single document. MAKES NO SENSE.

  19. In form edit mode, using the Select Object Tool. When selecting a column of form objects (e.g. check boxes) ALL non form objects are selected, and the tool reverts to the Edit too. This renders it impossible to perform actions on the form objects alone

    In the file, try and select a column of checkboxes to match the behaviour.

    This worked fine before the last update, currently on 2019.021.20047

    I would suggest removing the Edit tool from the Form Edit mode, it is not necessary. It is available in the PDF Edit mode.

  20. The major name in Electronic Signatures has the ability to place a field that you can draw in. I would Adobe Sign to add this field type to their platform.

    We would like to use this feature as a solution for when multiple people are collaborating on a document in person and allow for people in the room to initial their approval on each line item rather than have to email the document to each user to review separately.
