  1. Trying to combine 12 files into one single PDF. Multiple files have form fields that are similar. Adobe will not combine the files individually and forces me to create a portfolio. When I send the portfolio doc out it cannot be read. What a waste of time. Why can't we combine similar fillable forms with different data into one single document. MAKES NO SENSE.

  2. Please include Hindi text recognition while editing hindi pdf documents or exporting to MS word or RTF format.

    There is a huge market requirement for this feature and we are struggling with it currently.

  3. I have Windows 10 and Adobe Standard v. 2018.011.20038 and when I create a form and click on "Prepare Form" there is a pop up box that says "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then the program shuts down. I have updated the program, clicked on "Repair Installation" and nothing has corrected this issue. Please help!

  4. Add the option to have the entry field under-lined...just the underline - not a box. Add the option to draw a line or insert a shaded rectangle behind a group of fields in Acrobat without defining them as "art" or "pictures" and requiring me to edit their dimensions in another application. You must still have the code for these features, since they were in LiveCycle Designer - their purpose is to improve the form filling user's understanding of different sections on a form.

  5. The highlight function should allow users to alter the words highlighted without having to delete the entire highlight and start over. For example, assume highlight 3/4 of a page and then realize I want to include or exclude one word on either end of the highlighted text. Currently, my only option is to delete the entire highlight and start over. This is cumbersome and time consuming. Users should be able to click and drag the highlighted text to change the words highlighted without having to start over.

  6. In form edit mode, using the Select Object Tool. When selecting a column of form objects (e.g. check boxes) ALL non form objects are selected, and the tool reverts to the Edit too. This renders it impossible to perform actions on the form objects alone

    In the file, try and select a column of checkboxes to match the behaviour.

    This worked fine before the last update, currently on 2019.021.20047

    I would suggest removing the Edit tool from the Form Edit mode, it is not necessary. It is available in the PDF Edit mode.

  7. When I click, "edit PDF" adobie automatically tries to recognize all the text on the document.

    It fails and shreds the text into what looks like hieroglyphs.

    Why is this the default?

    I just want to add a picture, why is it forcing me to recognize all the text in my document?

  8. When inserting text onto my pdf file, the text box ends up "copying and pasting" onto other pages in my document randomly. This is super frustrating because accuracy is incredibly important for my job.

  9. When entering two signatories - The first signatory with a signature line, print line, title line and date line, they are automatically required by a red *. When there is a second signatory, the fields are all required except for the date. This should also be able to be mandatory. If you change this to a text box then you can make it mandatory. You should be able to format it like the date and make it mandatory like the first one.

  10. I need to send in CMS-1500 forms on a regular basis. I would like a template to be able to do this. The only thing that has to change on the form are some of the dates and payment amounts. Can I use a template, fill in some of the fields, send to sign and then recover the template for the next use.

  11. I edit PDF documents and need to look consistently at different sections of each page at a time. Currently, I need to just look at the bottom section of each page, while zoomed in. If I go to navigate to the next page, the view automatically goes to the top of the next page which necessitates me scrolling down each time. I'd love functionality where you can navigate to the next page and you'd be "anchored" at the bottom of the page rather than the top. Thanks! : )

  12. Using Text Callout after a Comment Tool (Line, Segmented Line, etc.) will not allow typing immediately, despite a blinking cursor. The user must first click the Text Callout area again before being allowed to type.

  13. Please make the pop-up open without text. If I want them to replace the text, why would that text come into the comment pop-up? Please, change all the highlighted and replace text pop-ups so they have not copy in them.

  14. Bug: when adding text (Function [A]) in Reader 2024.002.20759, sometimes
    - the text becomes non-editable. Becomes editable again, if you add a new text field on the same page.
    - the text appears on random different pages
    - the text disappears.
    I started to use Reader again, because the added text is searchable, compared to a competitors free tool.
    But these bugs are really annoying.

    Another bug: sometimes the original text is not readable or completely disappears. If you mark / select it, it appears again.

    When adding new functions, pls make sure, the ones that work since 20 years,…

  15. The major name in Electronic Signatures has the ability to place a field that you can draw in. I would Adobe Sign to add this field type to their platform.

    We would like to use this feature as a solution for when multiple people are collaborating on a document in person and allow for people in the room to initial their approval on each line item rather than have to email the document to each user to review separately.

  16. Bug: there is no way to make the date field required on Adobe desktop through Request E-Signatures tab.

    While the name, title, etc. fields are automatically set to required, the date field isn't. Unlike the text field, there is no option to make it required, either.

  17. Mac OS offers the option of using text abbreviations to insert several words or entire sentences (text replacements). For example, "#--" becomes "delete hyphen". Acrobat used to understand and implement these abbreviations. Since the version from December 2023, this no longer works. Please restore the function.

  18. The scanning feature and text recognition has become very faulty recently and can't even detect text on a document that has been converted from Word. This means that it is impossible to search certain words using ctrl+F and when trying to highlight a specific word or line it just highlights half of the page. Please could this issue be looked into as this function used to work fine.

  20. Not having a subtraction option in the Text Field Properties reduces the value of the calculate function. The current "workaround" of inputting a negative number to allow for addition is a poor alternative.

    You can either use a custom JavaScirpt calculation or the simplified field notation calculation, if your field names follow the required convention, with the “-” operator you will be able to perform subtraction.
