  1. For speed and efficiency, the ability to;

    i) save form field layouts from one document as templates that can be overlaid onto any other document (and still then save-able as a document template).

    and/or;

    ii) the ability to replace the original document underneath form fields (i.e. upload an up to date PDF to replace existing) in 'Edit Template'.

    PURPOSE:
    We use multiple agreements that are almost identical, but with minor copy edits / clause tweaks following client feedback etc. Very time consuming to have to create a template from scratch every time we want to make a minor edit…

  2. It would be so convenient especially for contracts with long lists of terms and conditions, to have the signer enter their group name as an answer in a text field, and be able to insert that text field of their group name as needed throughout the multi-line scrolling text field.

  3. Acrobat's alt text editing field is too small with "Add alternate text" function in "Prepare for accessibility." This makes it extremely painful to write and review long alt texts. It should be made expandable.

    I know that it's also possible to edit alt text in Object Properties, where has a larger text editing field, but using "Add alternate text" is a much more convenient way.

  4. In Prepare Form, why can't I use the Select Object Tool to select multiple fields with a marquee anymore? I've always used it in the past but every time I use it now, it automatically switches to Edit Text & Images, which I don't want it to do. This change supposed to be an "improvement" in the most recent update of Acrobat DC, but it has made my job both harder and take longer. Evidently, there's no way turn off Edit Text & Images when you're in Prepare Form, so you're just stuck editing fields without…

  5. I want the fill fields to have border option to include an underscore only rather than the whole box border. It would be nice to choose thickness and color like the full border, but have the stroke just on the bottom.
    The sample picture shows the 'Father' line beneath the fill field with no color on fill and border. The 'Amount' line is covered by a fill field in a white color, no color on the border. I'd like to have a transparent fill on the field with the bottom line as a border option which includes thickness,…

  6. When creating a form field in an editable PDF, applying the "hidden" property for the field renders it uneditable, not invisible. I've created several forms, and just recently had this happen, and all of my other previously created forms that have hidden fields are now opening with visible fields.

  9. I have upgraded to 2017 (2017.011.30138)

    I have created a form, adding my fields one at a time and changing the Name and ToolTip for each field.

    When I run an accessibility check I get a Tagged form field - Failed error for every single field.

    When I run Identify Form Fields nothing happens except the Identify Form fields and Autotag Form Fields options grey.

    I went back to Prepare Form Tools and double checked the fields. They all have unique field names, and all have unique tool tips.

    I tried to…

  10. I would like to see a "transform" capability similar to InDesign, with a panel or set of boxes in which the actual pixel X & Y coordinates, as well as the dimensions of an object, can be precisely set. Currently, the resolution on this type of placement appears to be set at 2 points, and I would like to be able to fine-tune that to pixels or 10,000ths of an inch as I can in InDesign. That's the basic idea, but read on for rationale.
    I work mainly in InDesign to create pdf forms that I then…

  11. I have a fillable form that was given to me that has a lot of text in one field. The text extends beyond the border established for the field and a scroll bar appears on the right hand side of the field to allow me to read it.

    I need to print the document with all of the contents in it but can't figure it out. Either I'm doing something wrong or there is a problem with the form or Adobe can't do it. Any help you can provide would be helpful.

  12. I am trying to create a checklist form with several check boxes within a table in MS Word. When I convert to pdf, then use auto form field recognition, it puts tiny text boxes in the check boxes instead of a check box. Tried to get adobe support to help on this only to be informed that acrobat does not support check boxes form field auto recognition in tables. Would love it to do that.

  13. -The new update has the "Fill in Form Field" button in a prominent place on the toolbar and it is the only text looking button in the default toolbar. Everyone in my design office mistakenly thought it was the text box tool and was extremely frustrated trying to redline documents. As designers, we do not use this software primarily for forms or even text documents, but for reviewing and commenting on drawings. Though I customized my toolbar and added what I need, it is not possible to remove the Fill in Form button from the tool bar, or…

  14. I would like to have a Text Field Property that would allow presetting of line spacing on multi line text fields. Currently, it appears that it can only be adjusted after there is already text in the field that would be submitted by the form filler.

  15. Right-clicking in Prepare Form mode no longer brings up a list of form field options to add. Please bring this back. Having to scroll my cursor up to the toolbar every time I need to add a field is very annoying.

  16. When I select Edit PDF and Add Text, text boxes automatically generate in a way that make no sense. (This happened with a scanned pdf form with text boxes.) In addition, the cursor will not allow me to add text outside the automated text box that Adobe generated. First off, auto generated text boxes should line up with existing boxes on a form (regardless of being a scanned copy). Second, Add Text shouldn't be restricted to autogenerated text boxes. I am using Adobe Pro Version 2023.006.20320 on a Windows 11 computer. See screen shot.

    The only work around I…

  18. When specifying a date field in a form there is just about every date format available except dd/mm/yyyy - it has to be added as a custom format each time. This is commonly how dates are written in Australia/NZ, would be very handy to have this in the list.

  19. When viewing and correcting scanned text, the field is so small as to not include the whole word. Also, it would be much easier to just retype the correct text directly in the document

  20. Currently this is possible through workarounds, but it would be nice if Acrobat natively supported embedding the fonts used in forms, so when users type in the form field, their typed text appears in the designated font face.

    (This essentially means bringing Acrobat up to par with online web-based HTML forms with embedded fonts using CSS.)
