  1. The new version is horrible. Definitely was not created to save time, but to waste it instead. I have wasted so much time in the last couple of days trying to find workarounds to the options that are now gone! What happened to "Undo"? Now if a mistake is made, the whole document has to be deleted and started over. Also, the "fill in forms fields" doesn't stay open so when a document needs several marks, it has to be re-opened every time, which is annoying. And don't get me started on documents that you have to enable…

  3. In line with Salesforce app development best practices, the Apex pages managed by the Adobe Sign app should use field sets so that we can add functionality to the existing managed visual force pages.

In particular we have a requirement to change the AgreementEditor apex page to display the related ServiceContract rather than Contact, Account, or Contract.

  4. I don't like how free-floating the elements on Forms is. It take me quite a bit of time getting things lined up. I wish you could implement some of your code from Photoshop and Illustrator such as; Smart Guides, so I can see how things line up and offset elements. Grids that I can edit the dimensions of ie: 1mm² or 1cm², and snap-to grids so I can everything lined up. Thank you.

    1. Open a PDF document with Arabic content.

    2. This PDF was generated from InDesign CC2017. Arabic fonts used is a good True Type and OpenType fonts. Macintosh 10.11.2 / Acrobat DC Build: 15.23.20056.213124

    3. When exporting to MS Office format, we expect to have a decent conversion as we see with PDFs that has English content.

    4. I opened resulted Word document in MS. Word on Windows, Text Edit on Mac, Apple Preview. The result varies, but generally Arabic text doesn't convert properly, most words scrambled and fragmented.

  6. My computer downloaded the latest update of Adobe on 4.22.2024 and now when I open a form with fillable fields (that I have used hundreds of times) I cannot modify/change the information contained in the fields. The fields are unlocked for 10 seconds (roughly) in which time you can modify them, like normal, after 10 seconds all fields lock and I cannot modify any information. PLEASE HELP!

  7. Please create the option to set a font for Form Editing, or fix the "Use Current Properties as New Defaults" to include the selected font as well. Helvetica isn't a common font, but I'd really rather not have to change it for every field I create on a converted document.
    Thanks...Love the program.

Hi User, Thanks for reaching out to us.
The workaround for this is to click on the text properties icon bar to hide the properties so that you can easily see the text box.
Please let us know if this works for you.

For the second ask, can you explain the issue again as we are not clear with the ask here.

  9. Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac CRASHES and cannot find moved or renamed PDF files, or files with highlighted text (yellow fluorescent marker)

These issues have been around forever. I reported this on 15th September2011:

Yet, the problems remain with latest Adobe Acrobat Pro Document Cloud (DC) ContinuousTrack 2017.009.20044. I have also reported to

  10. The application somehow started running OCR automatically - I'm unable to stop it or figure out how to turn it off. It slows down converting any document to PDF.

How do I stop Text Recognition from running?
I looked this up, but don't see the option to turn off.

  11. In order to keep PDF forms as clean and short as possible, it is often helpful to hide pages in a form unless they are needed. The only current way to accomplish this is to write a Javascript that retrieves a template using this script: var a = getTemplate("");a.spawn(); the template however goes to the end of the form instead of the desired location. The template also changes the text box names ruining the functionality of the boxes. This could be fixed by better Javascript instructions or even better an option to accomplish this task in the text box…

  12. I recently updated my Adobe license and noted that the new version no longer provides the 'Actions', 'Format', 'Validate' and 'Calculate' options when I create a new form. Have these functionalities been removed or am I not finding them?

  13. When viewing the OMG UML Specification pdf, which is 796 pages, if I click Cmdl+F to find some text, after the text is found, scrolling through pages gets very slow.

Indeed, the problem is noticeable even in short Pdf files (18 pages)

The slowness continues even if I disable the "Highlight all matches" option from the search preferences. When I close the Find dialog, scrolling speed is good again.

I am working on a Macbook Pro 13 Inch 2015 model, MacOS Catalina, Acrobat Reader DC 2020.006.20042 version.

  14. Add "EIN" as a formatting option in Adobe Pro using > Edit pdf > More Tools > Prepare Form > (highlight field) Properties > Format - drop-down choices include Social Security Number, Zip Code, etc.
I had a field formatted using what shows as "Arbitrary Mask" but the formatting created an error which started recently. I did correct things but lost my tab order.

  16. Hello,

    In the attached file

-Select a grade under Grade Level
-Open up the standards selections under "I am going to learn" under any of the lessons
-Use the scroll bar to scroll down as far as you can

I'm developing the document on a Mac OS X system but I have also repro'd the issue on a Windows system.

    Expected Behavior
I expected the scrolling to go all the way down to the last item on the list.

    Observed behavior
The scroll only lets you go partway down the list. You can use the arrow keys to continue down…

Please update Acrobat to the latest patch and check if that resolves the issue. Launch Acrobat > click “check for updates” under Help menu.

Let us know how it goes.
  17. It would get a great idea to actually make Fill & Sign work. After 12 versions and years of offering this tool, how great would it be if it actually worked in a bug-free and intuitive manner. Just upgraded from 11 and tried to fill a form. When you hover over an entry field, it seems to find the location of text entry and puts in "Type Text Here." Sometimes you can type text in the entry field. Sometimes you can enlarge or make smaller the text. Sometimes you can go back and edit the text

  18. 1) Open the attached file "a.pdf"
    2) Push "Scan & OCR"
    3) Push "Correct recognized text."
The text window should look like the attached image "1.jpg". The 3 areas of recognized text are erroneous recognitions. One is a square angle denoting a corner of a page, the other two are dirty spots. The only thing I can do now is replace the recognized text with a space (" "). I suggest that a better option would be to add another button to the dialog box shown in the attached file "2.jpg." The button could be called "Remove recognition" or…

  19. It would be very helpful if Acrobat Pro were to have a format painter feature like Microsoft's. As it is, one has to go through all the form fields and change them manually one at a time after Auto doesn't deliver what is desired.
