Cannot default to "show stamp names"
Every time I open Acrobat I have to select "show stamp names" in the stamp tool. This should be selectable as a default setting. There is no reason why "show tiny illegible stamp thumbnails" should be the default.

Change default text color
There needs to be an option to change the default text color when adding text to a PDF using "Edit" > "Add Text" option. I routinely add text in red to show what I am typing is my own text on a PDF. I do see that I have the ability to change the default text color for the "Type Text" option, however that is a different text box option that I do not like to use. I prefer the "Add Text" feature using the "Edit" option, as this option has overall better formatting for what I am trying to…

Set Document Title in Initial View as Default
Current Behaviour - If a PDF document has a title present in the “Title” document property then the default initial view of Acrobat Reader and Acrobat PRO is set to "File Name" rather than the "Document Title".
Impact - Acrobat's Accessibility Checks report the "Title" error while the title is already there. This requires the "Initial View" setting to be changed on each PDF manually.
Desired Behaviour - Set the “Initial View” to “Document Title” as default when a PDF is opened on Acrobat Reader DC and Acrobat DC Pro.
Why the feature is needed - All organisations want to…

Ability to change "default" settings at the User level for Adobe Sign
As of right now, if I want to change the "default" setting for "Signing Order" to "Recipients will sign in any order", but a user on our account would like to have that setting default to "Recipients will sign in the order they are entered" for themselves (at the user level), this is currently not possible as confirmed by Adobe Support a few minutes ago. It would be helpful for users to be able to change some of their own default settings rather than only having account-wide default settings for every single user. This is also true for…

Adobe Sign Default Signer Fields
I am often routing contracts prepared by another employee for signatures. When I use 'Request E-signatures', Adobe automatically detects form fields, including fields that have already been completed and should not be edited by any of the signers.
Currently, I have to right-click on each form field and manually change 'Assigned To' from the dropdown list to myself/(prefill). Why is there not an option to set a default for the 'Assigned To' field or allow users to change multiple form fields simultaneously?

Default Page Size On Creating Blank PDF
When you create a PDF from Acrobat>Tools>Create PDF from Blank Page, by default, it creates the document in letter size. However, in Europe we work with A4 all the time. It would be helpful to setup the default to A4 (or other format) so that Acrobat pro always uses this default page size when creating new pdf pages.

Acrobat DC print as Actual Size default selection
Request to Default selection as “Actual Size" as a constant selection where any time the [CTRL+P] is selected the user is not required to select or confirm the setting. The user is currently required to confirm as another setting remains based on the last print job. To have a default to Print as "Actual Size" is used almost all the time in the enterprise.

Default view improvement
I want PDFs to open in "Two-Up, Fit Page" by default, except when there's only 1 page in the doc, in which I want the single page to appear centered instead of on the far left and zoomed to fit a non-existent 2nd page. There should be an option for this.

We’ll revisit if we hear back this againThanks

Add option to change the default "sign in order"
There needs to be an option to change the default option from "sign in order" to "sign in any order".
In our operational workflows we never use the sign in order function and have to constantly change it before sending out a request for signatures. If this step is missed we have to resend the entire document as it is not allowed to be edited after the fact. This is fine but give us the option to make "complete in any order" by default.

File default zoom option when creating pdf from Word file
When creating a pdf from a Word file, it would be useful to be able to set the default zoom of the file.
From posts on other platforms, it appears that some get random default zooms on their files.2 votesThanks for your feature request. We have added it in our backlog which will be prioritized based on other items. We will keep you posted with the progress.
Thanks

Allow default setting to allow close of current tab when multiple tabs are open
There is an option to always close all tabs in the dialog pop up but no option to just close the current tab by default when X'ing out on the top right of the window. I would like to be able to just close the current tab by default.

"Save As" Should Default To Same Folder As Source Files
- Select 2 PDF files is the same folder to combine.
- Combine then Adobe Acrobat DC.
- Choose "Save As".
The default folder seems to be a random place on my computer. It's never the same folder as the one with the two files that I just combined. And it takes a bunch of typing or clicking to get back to the original folder.
This happens every single time I combine files, making it really tedious to do something that should be easy.
Please set the default folder for 'Save As...' equal to the folder where I opened the files.

Give option to make Hand Tool the default option instead of the Select Tool
The Select Tool is the default tool. I never use it and have never seen a need to use it. It makes the screen turn blue and wants to select things instead of letting me drag and move around the page to review large documents. I always have to stop what I'm doing and switch to the hand tool. I am opening and managing easily over 100 PDFs a day and having to switch at every new document is frustrating and time consuming. Adding this as an option would save so much time for users that need this as their …
6 votesYou can make the hand tool the default option by trying:
1)Look under Preferences> Acessibility
2)Uncheck "Always display the keyboard selection
3)Then select the Hand Tool.
4)Close the program
5)The Hand tool will now be default -
Track changes/modifications to a PDF file
Compliance wants us to track changes to a PDF file. You think this would be a simple request, like using versions in Word, but no, I was shocked to find this option is not available in Acrobat Pro. It is in PDF Exchange though...

White text on default white background in Acrobat reflow is not visible
White text on a default white background in PDF reflow mode is not visible and the option to change color choices in accessibility preferences does not yield consistent results for viewing all text within a PDF in reflow.

Allow users to change default settings for ALL form field properties
It would be an amazing time-saver if we were able to change all default settings for field properties, i.e. type and size of font for each field or all fields, type and size of radio buttons and checkboxes, etc. This would make me -- and many other users -- much less irritable when I have to create forms.

Track NAV Pane to Cursor Position
For large documents it is very helpful to track the NAV Pane to your current cursor position in the document. e.g. when you use Find and click on that position, the NAV Pane should show you where you are in the document.
Using this in other word processing SW - very productive feature.1 vote
