1. Japanese OCR produces garbled text with "Searchable Image" on macOS

   I am experiencing a problem with Japanese OCR in Adobe Acrobat.

   When I run text recognition on a scanned Japanese PDF and select "Searchable Image", the page itself looks normal, but when I select and copy the recognized text, the result is garbled.
   For example, I get text like:
   「譛ｬ譖ｸ縺ｯ縲∵叛騾∝､ｧ蟄ｦ縺ｮ隰帷ｾｩ逕ｨ縺ｫ菴懈􈢐縺励◆縲∽ｼ夊ｨ亥ｭｦ縺ｮ蝓ｺ譛ｬ譖ｸ縺ｧ縺吶」
   It should be recognized as:

   The same document works correctly when I use "Editable Text and Images" instead.

2. Resize the Page Controls toolbar to minimum when opening Acrobat documents

   When Acrobat Pro opens a document the Page Controls toolbar is displayed. This is fine with me; however, it appears in a preset width. This width includes large blank areas to the right and left of the thumbnails. In order to reclaim those large, blank areas of the screen I need to resize the Page Controls toolbar to its minimum width every time I open or reopen a document. This frees up about 1 to 2 inches of display area. I use a 24-inch monitor in split screen mode, so this unused area is important to have for my workflow.

6. Share PDF to email (not cloud) with new Outlook

   By default there is a Share > Email > Microsoft Outlook option... but it always uses Outlook (classic). There needs to be a new entry that uses the newer Outlook, as there are efficiency issues with either needing to switch back to classic Outlook, or going through several more extra clicks/drags to get to the same result.

   Description:

   I am experiencing a bug with the Draw Connected Lines tool in Adobe Acrobat on Windows.

   When "Enable Protected Mode at startup" is enabled, the Draw Connected Lines tool registers the first point, but subsequent clicks are not registered. The line continues following the mouse cursor and cannot be placed or completed.

   Steps to reproduce:

   1. Open Adobe Acrobat with "Enable Protected Mode at startup" enabled under Preferences > Security (Enhanced).
   2. Open a PDF.
   3. Select the Draw Connected Lines tool.
   4. Click to place the first point.
   5. Move the cursor and click to place the next point.

   Observed result:
   The first point is placed, but the next click is ignored. The line continues following the cursor indefinitely and cannot be completed.

   Expected result:
   Each click should place the next vertex of the connected line normally.

   Workaround:
   Disabling "Enable Protected Mode at startup," restarting Acrobat, and opening the same PDF immediately fixes the issue. The Draw Connected Lines tool then works normally.

   This is an important issue because disabling Protected Mode should not be necessary to use drawing tools, especially since Protected Mode is a security feature.

   Please investigate and fix this issue.

8. Add a locked, distraction-free reading mode for young kids

   I am wondering if Acrobat could have a simple locked reading mode for younger kids. Not a whole new editor, more like one button that hides every toolbar, disables links outside the document and keeps page turning very obvious.The current full screen view is close, but its still easy to exit it or open something by accident. Bigger next/previous controls and an optional parent PIN to leave the mode would help alot, especially with preschool worksheets on a shared laptop. For the kind of very simple child-facing layout I mean, this preschool games page is a useful example: https://dad4kids.com/en/games-for-preschoolers/. The controls stay large and there isnt much around them competing for attention.Could this be added as an Accessibility option, maybe with page zoom locked too?    I am sharing a request from the Dad4Kids project: an optional keyboard practice view for learning PDFs. A thicker focus outline around the current link or form field, plus a small Tab / Shift+Tab / Enter hint would help beginners see where they are. Maybe let a teacher pick the outline colour too, not just its size

   Our typing games page at https://dad4kids.com/en/typing-games-for-kids/ is the context for this request. The games are seperate from Acrobat; the PDF use case is a short activity sheet with links to practice and a few answer fields. It should be clear which thing will open before a child presses Enter. Sounds small but the focus indicator is doing alot of work here..

   Please keep this optional and remember the setting between documents. A simple preview in accessibility settings would be usefull, especially when preparing a sheet for someone still learning the keyboard

10. Adobe Acrobat WebView2 creates Video Wake Lock and prevents Windows display sleep while Acrobat is idle

    Adobe Acrobat is preventing Windows from automatically turning off the display and entering sleep.

    The issue occurs simply by opening Acrobat and leaving it on the Home screen. No PDF or other document needs to be open.

    Windows power settings are configured to turn off the display after 3 minutes on battery.

    When Acrobat is completely closed, running:

    powercfg /requests

    returns:

    DISPLAY:
    None.

    The display then turns off normally after the configured 3 minutes.

    When Adobe Acrobat is opened, with no PDF or other document open, running:

    powercfg /requests

    returns:

    DISPLAY:
    [PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\152.0.4191.66\msedgewebview2.exe
    Video Wake Lock

    The display will then remain on instead of turning off after the configured timeout.

    Closing Acrobat immediately removes the Video Wake Lock and Windows display timeout works normally again.

    I have confirmed that the WebView2 process generating the issue belongs specifically to Acrobat. Its command line includes:

    --webview-exe-name=Acrobat.exe
    --webview-exe-version=26.2.21901.0
    --user-data-dir="C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\AVWebview2\DC\EBWebView"
    --autoplay-policy=no-user-gesture-required

    Troubleshooting already completed:

    1. Confirmed Windows power settings are correct.
    2. Confirmed display timeout works correctly when Acrobat is closed.
    3. Confirmed issue occurs with Acrobat open and no PDF open.
    4. Repaired Adobe Acrobat installation.
    5. Updated Adobe Acrobat.
    6. Restarted Windows.
    7. Confirmed Acrobat multimedia/3D playback is disabled.
    8. Disabled Acrobat launch messages.
    9. Tested Acrobat online/cloud-related preferences.
    10. Completely reset the Acrobat WebView2 user data folder by renaming: AVWebview2\DC\EBWebView and allowing Acrobat to create a new, clean EBWebView profile.

    The Video Wake Lock is recreated immediately even with the completely new WebView2 profile.

    Expected result:
    When Acrobat is idle and no document or multimedia is being played, Acrobat should not generate a Video Wake Lock. Windows should turn off the display and enter sleep according to the configured Windows power settings.

    Actual result:
    Simply opening Acrobat causes its Microsoft Edge WebView2 process to generate a Video Wake Lock which prevents the display from turning off automatically.

    Closing Acrobat removes the power request immediately.

11. Native watermark flattening causes massive file size explosion and layer corruption in Acrobat Pro 2020

    Steps to reproduce the issue
    1. Open a standard text/vector PDF (approx. 2,000 KB).
    2. Go to Tools > Edit PDF > Watermark > Add, and apply a text watermark.
    3. Attempt to flatten or permanently bake the watermark into the document using standard workflows (e.g., Save As Optimized PDF, Print to PDF, or running the Preflight "Flatten annotations and form fields" fixup).
    4. Inspect the resulting file size and test the watermark object with the Edit tool.

    Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.)
    Application: Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 (Classic Desktop Edition)
    OS: Windows / macOS (Note: You can specify your exact OS here if you'd like)
    Trigger: Initiated following recent background security/compatibility patches to Acrobat 2020.

    Expected result
    The watermark layer should merge natively with the existing document content streams. The file size should remain low (under 1 MB), and the watermark text should become completely unselectable and unremovable.

    Observed result
    Acrobat either fails to lock the watermark layer entirely (leaving it fully editable/removable), or it forcefully rasterizes the overlapping background text layers into uncompressed bitmap images. This causes the file size to balloon exponentially from ~600 KB to anywhere between 14,000 KB and 103,000 KB, making basic document emailing impossible.

    Steps to reproduce the issue
    1. Open a standard text/vector PDF (approx. 2,000 KB).
    2. Go to Tools > Edit PDF > Watermark > Add, and apply a text watermark.

12. Voice/Read Aloud for Academic Papers

    I use the read aloud feature for reviewing school articles and love the improvements you've made. However, it would be much better if you added a feature that lets the system skip references/citations (for example, when in parentheses) when reading aloud. Even better if you could choose the type of PDF to let the system know whether to read it in its entirety or skip footnotes, citations, smaller text, descriptors, etc.

13. Muito lerdo, e não serve para praticidade.

    Inútil praticamente, abaixei para ser um aplicativo rápido e pratico, mas faz com que assine obrigatoriamente o plano para abrir algum arquivo, e depois disso tem que atualizar que demora 1ANO. e logo depois pede pra reiniciar o computador fazendo com que demore mais ainda, e perdendo a vontade de usar esse aplicativo por completo. Não recomendo para ninguém.

    Unable to update Acrobat since version 26.001.27771.
    OS: Windows 11 PRO 25H2
    Processor: Snapdragon

    Try using update in app, download update from Acrobat Enterprise Release Notes (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html).
    Also try full uninstall and re-install the acrobat pro app from offline installer.

18. BUG: Sensitivity label applied to a PDF is hidden behind the signature panel on the Document Message Bar of Acrobat

    Ref: Adobe Enterprise Support Case ID: E-002410520

    When you open a digitally-signed PDF file in Acrobat that has a sensitivity label applied by Microsoft Purview Information Protection you will notice that the file initially displays with the sensitivity label visible in the Document Message Bar, but after about 1 second that notification is replaced by the Digital Signature validation notification (refer attached screenshot). At this point the MIP Sensitivity label is no longer visible to the user, either in the Document Message Bar or indeed anywhere else in the menus of the Adobe Acrobat Pro application itself.

    When you save a copy of a form from Document Cloud in Acrobat, the mouse pointer disappears behind the Acrobat window and is no longer visible.

    There are also issues with digital documents:

    Depending on how you send documents for signing, either English or German is used as the language. That can’t be right. If you send a form from Acrobat using “Request e-Signatures,” the customer receives an email in English and an interface in English. If you send it from Adobe Sign, everything is in German.

    In addition, in Adobe Sign, all fields can be moved around, with no way to prevent this. Is this intentional? If so… that’s bad.

    One more thing: In pre-prepared forms for digital signatures, number fields are displayed with a “.” after the first two digits. Example: 56894 is displayed as 56.894.

    As customers, we expect to receive software that is consistent and functions properly. Adobe is currently far from meeting that expectation.
