1. Bug Report: Update Watermark - Position > Vertical Distance setting > inconsistent setting / display

   Using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Situation:
   a watermark was added to a document, vertical distance set to " 2 Milimeters from Top" and document saved. Then re-open document, use "Tools > Pages > Watermark > Update...". The settings in dialog box are displayed as they were saved (e.g. Vertical Distance: 2 Milimeter from Top), however in the preview pane, the existing watermark shows at another position then in dialog (position is displayed at Inches instead of Milimeters). Watermark shifted somewhere to the middle of the page.
   Workaround: change Vertical Distance setting to another unit (e.g. Centimeters), then change back to Milimeters again, the preview pane (and setting in document) shows correct again.

   How to create crash logs on Windows environment?
   1. Retry the scenario where Acrobat crashes
   2. Do not close the pop-up when Acrobat crash
   3. Open Task manager
   4. Right-click on “Acrobat.exe *32” process and select ‘Create Dump file’
   5. It will create a log file in the temp folder. (Path will be displayed on pop-up comes when logs created). You can also check this under
   - Open Run process (Win+R)
   - Type temp
   - Logs file will be available here with name “Acrobat.DMP” or “Acrobat(n).DMP” if there are other Acrobat dumps exist.

   Please follow the steps to share the crash logs using Adobe send – https://cloud.acrobat.com/send
   – Open this link.
   – Click on “Select files to Send”.
   – Click link “Choose file from my computer” and select the file
   – Click on “Add Files”, if you have more files to add.
   – Click on Create Link.
   – Share this link with us.

   For getting the version of the application (Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC)
   1. Open the Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC application in your machine.
   2. Click on the ‘Help’ menu in the application.
   3. Click on ‘About Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC…’.

3. Egynte and Adobe Sign

   We are using Egnyte to send templates from Adobe sign and when the pop up box appears where you can choose which templates to send they are not organized in any specific way. I would like to have them sorted alphabetically or numerically.

   Bug Report: Auto-Locked Text Comment Tool - how do you unlock the comment tool ("Locked" selection cannot be unchecked)? Please provide a concise & clear method for removed the "auto-lock" of the tools. The selection to reverse the lock is grayed out and cannot be unselected.

6. Font rendering bug with Charter.ttc from Apple

   To reproduce:
   1. Create a PDF with an embedded version of Bitstream's Charter font included with macOS or OSX.

   1. Open the PDF in Acrobat.

   Expected result: normal display of the font. The PDF displays normally in Apple's Preview reader.

   Observed result: Many glyphs in italic and bold italic will be incomplete (missing terminals), smeared, or the strokes will be too thin. E.g., "B, F, Q, U, a–z, 4, ?," en dash, em dash, etc. Other glyphs may have problems, I have not tested them all.

   Tested on macOS Sierra 10.12.6 with Acrobat DC and Reader DC, both version 18.011.20038; with Charter versions 11.0d1e1 (from Yosemite) and 14.0d2e1 (from High Sierra 10.13.4). The bug presumably exists with other versions of the macOS Charter.

   PDF generated with Mac OS 10.12.6 Quartz PDFContext, PDF version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x), from Apple Pages; and from Word 2011 via "save as Adobe PDF", Acrobat PDFMaker 15 for Word, PDF version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x).

   Note that Charter (as a .ttc collection) is made available to users in Mavericks, Yosemite, and Sierra 10.12.0 and 10.12.1, and again in High Sierra 10.13.4.

   It is included on the system but hidden from certain apps on other OS versions from El Capitan up through High Sierra 10.13.3. If working on an OS where the file is hidden, instructions for accessing the .ttc can be found here:

   Some have also reported those steps don't work, and the better solution is to copy the file from a Yosemite (or High Sierra?) installation/installer.

   Attached file shows correct rendering of italic and bold italic in Preview (top) and bugged rendering in Acrobat (bottom).

7. Undo action

   Ctrl+ z action does "Undo" of last activity in adobe writer. However, cursor or screen display does not move to specific location in file where undo has happened. Some time in hurry, we dont even come to know that we have undone some work. Hence, i suggest, undo should take cursor and screen to concerned page similar to excel, word etc.

   Kindly check if it is worth enough to consider.

11. Geospatial registration of PDF maps

    There is clearly some conflicting/incomplete info about the possibility to geospatially register PDF maps.

    This is a useful feature. Please consider bringing it back to Adobe Acrobat.

13. Click and Ship Labels do NOT print infornation BUG WITH USPS CLICK AND SHIP LABELS

    I am trying to print a shipping label from a Click and Ship Label through eBay and they print out the USPS but not a **** bit of information. I even tried other browsers to see if that would help but not a **** bit of difference.

14. An Urgent Need for Better and Bolder Annotation Tools

    I respectfully suggest you consider enhancing Acrobat DC’s current annotation and highlighting tools to enable users to markup documents directly and instantly and do so without putting your users through Acrobat DC’s 28 tool / function menus.

    I have been using Acrobat extensively for over 20 years and have a continuous need to annotate a wide range of PDF documents – legal, financial and technical and more. My annotation needs are both textual and graphic. While I remain loyal to Adobe Acrobat, I find Acrobat DC’s current annotation and highlight tools visually weak, limited in graphic capabilities and VERY timer-consuming to apply.
    The fight for shorter and shorter reader Attention Spans: Very frequently, the recipients of my annotated PDF documents fail to visually catch my Acrobat DC annotations. These are “thin” and difficulty to catch. This is a real growing problem that is only getting worse as most readers mostly scan documents in shorter and shorter intervals and miss these highlights. I am almost sure that I am not the only Acrobat user that is dealing with this problem.
    What I firmly believe is needed is a new set of modern annotation tools capable of inserting stronger / bolder annotations and with far less end-user efforts. An ideal example would be to modernize Acrobat by add the highlighting and annotation capabilities of SnagIt. This famous application gets the job done gracefully, based on its well-designed markup tools and their exceptional accessibility and ease of use.

    I do realize that such a suggestion might have significant engineering implications. However, a tool as important as Acrobat needs to keep up with today’s need for visual richness that can help deal with the shorter and shorter reader attention spans of today's smartphone obsessed users.

16. Bring back numerical formatting for form field creation

    In previous versions of Adobe Acrobat Pro, I was able to select what type of formatting I'd like the text field to be, such as Phone Number, Zip Code, and decimal numbers as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-form-field-properties.html#format_tab_for_form_field_properties.

    However, that option appears to not exist any more?

17. Won't remember magnification setting

    Adobe Acrobat Pro won't remember magnification setting (fit page) after save and close. If I reopen the file after quitting Acrobat it shows the previous default setting. If I force quit and reopen then the change shows. Seems its caching the old settings unless I force quit to clear.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
    You can get your desired results by following the below steps:
    1) Open a pdf
    2) Right click and go to document properties.
    3) click on initial view tab
    4) Select desired ‘Window options’ & save

    After doing the above steps whenever you relaunch the pdf, you’ll get the desired page fit (you selected).

18. Comments pane

    I wish to open the comments pane to open or hide with the click of a button - it is taking up too much room. And in contrast to older versions I can no longer copy any text from the post-it notes (which might be useful if a translator has given a text change that needs to be transferred to a language layout) but have to open the comments pane (with what seems a lengthy way round).
