Extract Pages - WITHOUT thumbnail view!
Trying to select which pages to extract by clicking on thumbnails is next to impossible. Whoever thought of this system has never tried to extract multiple non-consecutive pages from a large document - they all look the same when shrunk to 1 inch tall. Can we just extract by highlighting bookmarks?

Suggestion: Customizable Bookmark Panel Width in Acrobat
Dear Adobe Team,
I would like to suggest an improvement for Adobe Acrobat regarding the Bookmarks panel width adjustment. Currently, every time a PDF is reopened, the Bookmarks panel resets to its default width, requiring manual resizing each time. This can be inconvenient, especially for users who frequently work with PDFs that contain extensive bookmarks.
I kindly request that Adobe Acrobat include:
A setting to customize the default width of the Bookmarks panel, allowing users to define a preferred size in the application preferences.
An option to remember the adjusted width after resizing, so that the panel remains at…1 vote -
In Acrobat Pro, when scrolling through the slides, change comment color background for the slide shown.
With the comment column showing, when scrolling through the slides, change the background color of the comment relevant to the slides, so you don't have to lookup the page number of the slide and the comment.

Expand bookmark function
After creating bookmarks I/ll be happy to see highlighted the word searched by bookmark. For the moment bookmark is giving you a page when the text, but not a single word. If you click double on a word and make a bookmark it is just reverse: click on bookmark and see selected word. Thanks for your concern! Roman

Syncronized scroll
Would be great to have native support for syncronized scrolling - so if i have two+ open PDFs, can scroll pages syncronized, i.e. hit Page Down key and both PDFs go down a page, currently have to click in one PDF, page down, then click second PDF and page down - very cumbersome

Mouse wheel scrolls documents faster than trackpad on macOS
Steps to reproduce the issue: Open a PDF file in single-page continuous layout. Connect an external mouse. Compare scrolling the PDF with an external mouse and with the built-in trackpad.
Environment: Acrobat Pro DC 2021.001.20145 on macOS 11.2.3 in MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020). External mouse: Logitech M720 Triathlon. Smooth scrolling is enabled.
Expected result: Scrolling with the scroll wheel on an external mouse should scroll the PDF as smoothly as scrolling with the built-in trackpad.
Observed result: Scrolling with the scroll wheel on an external mouse scrolls the PDF too quickly compared to smoother scrolling using the built-in trackpad.

Complaints on New UI
I use Acrobat DC. I recently started using the new UI in December 2023. I think it is much worse than the previous UI. Functions that used to be in the top menu bar are now divided into two menu bars on the sides of the screen, while the area where they used to be is just an empty bar, a complete waste of space. This means there is a narrower part of the screen for the document. Maybe this is why they made it so that you can either see comments, or see bookmarks, but not both at…

Scrolling is not working in Portfolio!
Can't scroll at all in Pdf Portfolio! Scroll bar is missing. Updated Acrobat, changed plan, reset, restart. Nothing helps! Scroll bar disappears on the very first stage - adding files to the portfolio. After portfolio is created scroll bar disappears again.

Splitting Top Level Bookmarks - Automatically Rename a Bookmark with the same name
The PDF splitting function by Top Level Bookmarked name is largely to main reason we have Acrobat Pro, however annoyingly the splitting fails if you have the same Bookmark name more then once (see image for error message), as understandably it can't save two pdf's with the same file name.
It would be a handy feature if Acrobat Pro could instead of aborting the split request halfway through, it instead adds a consecutive number at the end of the duplicated file name (for example 'Jo Blogs.pdf' / 'Jo Blogs_1.pdf').

Pro DC intermittent crash when scrolling, recognizing text, editing, etc
Acrobat Pro DC crashes intermittently at various points during my use of the program. I use it all day long at work, to review claim documents and invoices, and I have to run recognize text, highlight/edit things, and move throughout legal documents by scrolling or searching. It crashes when I try to do literally anything but not every single time. Whenever it crashes, it shows me the crash window twice (window comes up, I click close, it lags and closes the message box, then brings it back up-- every single time, I get the crash notice twice per crash, losing…

FFS remember my scrolling preferences
Whoever had the dumb idea to default to single page view should be fired immediately, then the person who though that it should default back after another selection is made should be fired as well.

Mismatch between splitted file names and bookmark names
After splitting a document by top-level bookmarks, file names do not match bookmark names.
Bookmark names are all capital Greek without periods, underscores or other characters. I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro and Windows 7 Professional.

We tried the scenario and it is working fine at our end.Kindly share with us some sample files on which you are facing this issue

Change for the sake of change
Swapping the bookmarks pane and the tools pane is a stupid idea with no benefit for your users. Please go back to the old interface. If I have to use a new one I might as well just view documents in the browser and stop using Acrobat.

Key Board Shortcut to Promote/Demote Bookmark Level
This feature request proposes the addition of a keyboard shortcut in Acrobat to promote/demote bookmark levels. Currently, demoting a bookmark can be done easily by dragging it to a lower level, but promoting it requires a two-step process. With this new shortcut, users could efficiently reorganize their bookmarks by quickly moving them up or down the hierarchy. This feature would be particularly useful when dealing with scanned files that lack structure information, but require a hierarchical set of bookmarks for easy navigation.

Auto-bookmarking highlights
When highlighting, offer the highlight to be bookmarked.
Highlighting is done to something worthy of attention and therefore having need for later recall and return. I am reading a 200 page document and I have liberally highlighted interesting parts of the text, many on the same page. Now how do I revisit those highlighted parts? I am having to scroll through the entire document page by page in full page view to do that. A bookmark created while highlighting would serve that purpose perfectly. The name of the bookmark would be entered by the user if he wishes (some default…

Move nested icons from bookmark without changing place
When you create a bookmark and add nested icons under it, there's no way to move it back without deleting it. Can you all the nested icons to move without having to delete them? For example if I have bookmarks A,B,C, D then I add 1a, 1b,1c and want to move 1b to align with A, instead of being indented, I cannot do it.
See the attached document of trying to align bookmarks in a .pdf booklet.1 vote -
You screwed up the bookmarks They no longer will go to the zoom level I set when i set them further when I set to inherit it does not
The bookmarks are no longer inheriting the zoom level. Even when set to do so. This started three days ago. Clicking on the book mark does nothing but let me edit the name. It does not seem to move to the place, it certainly does not inherit the zoom. Which diminishes the value of the feature immeasurably.

Horizontal scrolling of all pages in a .pdf to view multiple pages
Often, I need to view certain successive pages side by side.
However, Acrobat will only allow two page view to view pages 1 & 2 or 3 & 4. It will not allow viewing 2 & 3 side by side. (Imagine a user manual that has a two page chart on pages 2 & 3.) (This makes sense because page 1 is often on the right side of a book, making 2 & 3 open next to each other.)
It would be helpful to stack pages horizontally and scroll continuously through them.5 votes -
Fix document splitting with bookmark's names
When you try to split a document using the bookmarks names as the names of the new pdfs being created, if now there is this character '/' in a bookmark name it will throw a "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder" kind of error.

Set Defaults For Output Options When Splittings PDFs
Each and every time I split a PDF, I must manually set the folder I want the files to save to. I should be able to set the folder path one time and Acrobat will default to that same folder next time I split a PDF. This goes for all the settings whenever splitting a PDF. It would save me time if Acrobat remembered what options I used last when splitting a file. For instance, if I split a file and used the "Use top level bookmarks" option, the next time I go to split a PDF I shouldn't…
