  4. When using Adobe Acrobat Pro for scanning documents every 10 minutes, I need to have a "Home" screen with only one button - "Create PDF" + "From Scanner" + "Grayscale Document (front side)".

The new setting is driving me crazy. I wish I could downgrade to the old Adobe Acrobat design!

  5. Please add a default option in Preferences that auto detects that a created pdf has attachments and sets the opening property to show attachments...

Same for bookmarks... If the native record has bookmarks for sections, have a property option to auto populate bookmarks in the pdf and set default property to open showing bookmarks

Instead of a default property to either show attachments or bookmarks upon opening, create an option to show both bookmarks and attachments contemporaneous upon opening, if the native document has attachments and bookmarks.

  6. The download logo is not enough. Most of my customers can not find / do not understand how to print when they see the page after following a sent&track link. They don't think to download and don't pay attention to this logo so they refuse your system and request the pdf file by email ... for a link.

  7. I want to be able to set the view defaul to "fit to page" because every time I open a new file or skip to a bookmark, I have to decrease the page size to be able to see the whole page and this REALLY slows me down.

  8. View>Page Display > Enable scrolling. Make it easy to change the default for this OR even better please make enabled scrolling the default view. Who on this earth doesn't want to enable scrolling? Please tell me what kind of business person that is who likes the pages to keep jerking around as you get too close to the bottom of the screen when enabled scrolling is not enabled. Tell me! Probably seismologists.

  9. I receive this error message when I select File -> Compress PDF.

I currently have Adobe Acrobat Standard DC installed on a computer running Windows 10.

I have used this feature to compress numerous other PDFs made from documents that contain text and images. I'm not sure why this feature has found a problem with the images. It would be nice if the error message also included suggestions on how to fix the problem.

  11. The autosave/autorecover feature is malfunctioning. "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found" is the message I receive after being prompted to recover document after Windows restarted my computer with an Adobe documents open with unsaved changes. This occurs each time since I upgraded to the Pro version.

  12. BUG: Default size when opening a PDF file.
I've tried all the suggestions, but when I open a PDF file, it opens with 199% or 165% BUT NEVER smaller. I would prefer that it ALWAYS opens in 75% or 100%. It is a waste of time to go and click on the - to make it smaller.
I've changed the settings in Edit -- Preferences -- Page Display & Accessibility to 75% / Single Page.
What else can I do?? Please help.

    It is sooo frustrating!

  13. In the application settings, I disabled the checkbox "General" > "Tell me if Adobe Acrobat is not my default application". Despite this setting, I constantly get Windows Notifications from Acrobat Reader telling me I should set Adobe Acrobat as default reader. If I completely disabled all Acrobat Reader notifications using OS settings, I would also miss useful noticiations. Stop annoying users with this notification if they clearly do not want to see it.

  14. The line endings on gestures within ink annotations are defaulting to being rounded and prior to the most recent adobe acrobat update, they were flat. Please switch them back to default to flat/none or provide a way to set them to flat/none via javascript (or some other configuration).

For example, we have OCR and other downstream processes that no longer work efficiently or work at all with the rounded line ending updates.

  15. When Acrobat encounters an error while combining files, the following message is shown. The options are Return to the File List, and Open Combined File. If the user wants to open the combined file AND review the files which caused errors, they have to combine the files twice (which can take a long time depending on the number and type of files). Note that if many files were combined, not all of the files can be seen in the main window in the background (behind the error message window). Adobe should make it possible to open the combined files AND…

“The attached file contains data that was entered into a form. It is not the form itself.

The recipient of this data file should save it locally with a unique name. Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later can process this data by importing it back into the blank form or creating a spreadsheet from several data files. See Help in Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 for more details.”

  17. As many people have requested and reported the same problem, I spoke with a higher level support staff person, whom then spoke with the development team, they reported adding Inherit Zoom to the default settings list was not possible, yet already accomplished for Bookmarks as reported in a post for version 20.012.20041.
The courts require all links and bookmarks to be set to inherit zoom. To set a link, it currently requires FOURTEEN STEPS per link to set it (see attached visual). Briefs will commonly have 100 or more links in them. And links can only be set, once everything…

  18. Hello:

I would really appreciate if the Adobe team would consider implementing either the ability to allow custom keyboard shortcuts or assign default keyboard shortcuts (i.e., hotkeys) to shortcuts on the toolbar.

If the second option to map hotkeys to toolbar shortcuts is implemented, I would really appreciate if by pressing the Alt key I could bring up a display of all shortcuts available. For example, please see the Microsoft Word image: if I press the Alt key, it displays all available keyboard shortcuts.

The reason for my request is that I have the "Take snapshot" option added to the…

  20. I mostly use the Edit or Prepare Form tools. While I'm updating my document, Acrobat crashes at random times. There is nothing consistent, it just seems to be more finicky after the most recent update. After it crashes, I reopen it and the customized toolbar on the right has reverted back to the default tools. This is very inconvenient and happens several times a day while editing or preparing a document. Is this a known issue and is there a fix for this?
