  1. I need to be able to view a document's Page Thumbnails AND bookmarks at the same time, rather than toggling back and forth between them on the navigation pane.

  2. Every time I open a PDF/A compliant document, a toolbar message shows up (see attachment). The only way to close it is by clicking on "Enable Editing," to which you are warned about its consequences.

It would be great if I could close it without Enabling Editing. It would be even better if this message only showed up if I tried to edit the document in first place.

  3. The new layout with for Adobe Pro with the tools on the left and the pages/bookmarks on the right is much harder to use. After so many years, why were they switched around? Please bring back the search field so that I can find tools. Everything I use is now hidden under layers of menus and really small icons.

  4. It would be wonderful to have the tools accessible as dropdowns from the Adobe Acrobat DC. Specifically, the file manager for Adobe Sign accessibility. I should be able to get to an overview status of all my sharing and sending/receiving. Now it is confusing since I have two Adobe Acrobats and one is for signature documents, the other is for other pdf documents.

  6. I have my toolbar list all arranged/selected for the tools I use for work, but lately it occasionally changes to some other list, even though there haven't been any updates that I can see. If that list could be saved as a workspace as can be done in InDesign, or perhaps a settings file similar to the pdf output settings, that would be helpful. My program is fully up to date, Windows 10.

  7. The new version of Acrobat moves tools to the left and navigation tools to the right without giving an option for users to customize the location. Having page navigation on the right is unergonomic because the natural reading order is left to right, and people click bookmark titles and page numbers before reading the page content. In books, the table of contents comes before the main content of the book, and you flip rightwards after choosing a chapter to read.

With navigation on the left, the tools would be on the right-hand side in the new version. This makes intuitive…

  8. I have reverted to the original for now, but if forced to permanently switch to the new look, I will stop paying for it. Not sure how rearranging everything and hiding some tools is supposed to make thing more efficient. I don't think I have ever witnessed such a terrible "update" to any program ever. My idea is to fire whoever's idea it was to do the redesign.

  9. Is there a way to disable the bookmarks pane from opening by default on Mac? I've seen people edit the registry on Windows computers to achieve this but haven't been able to find a similar solution for Mac.

  10. The document is being tagged, perhaps properly, but it is impossible to tell using the TURO tool when showing structure types. In the Tags pane, headings are shown as H1, H2, etc in the actual tags, but whether the TURO tool is on when the Order or Tags panel is active, these show up as text (P).

I've never seen this problem before and suspect it has to do with a recent update/release.

    Hi,
I have shared your concerns to the Engineering team. We don’t have immediate plan for this but we have kept this in their radar and you may see it fixed in future releases.

    Thanks

  11. In Mac OS it is a piece of cake to customize Toolbars. Just Command-Drag to heart's content.

Why is it such a pain ********** (impossible?) in Acrobat. I am very disappointed.

  13. When a person must edit a document, it normally means changing some text. Which could be (interestingly) bolding a word. Or using the same font that is being used all over the document.

Now if you wish, I can send you a PDF and you try to do that simple task. Especially in the newest Adobe Acrobat.

But most probably you have some PDF documents yourself around.

I really hope you will somehow grasp the difference between "normal" editors which allow you to simply select the text and bold it and the worldwide know tool Adobe Acrobat where you:

  14. Worst user interface in the world and ever.

Why the **** can't your filth software adhere to it when a PDF is supposed to open with the bookmarks pane?

Just go *** with this wretched muck, but read this before:

  15. The current Adobe plugin for Outlook 2016 works very well when creating portfolios from a group of emails. I'm able to add as many emails as I want to a single portfolio and the ability to append them when more emails come in is excellent. But these portfolios can only be added to from Outlook. It is important that I am able to add files to these Outlook portfolios without having to email them to myself first.

    Hi

Thanks for your request. But this is as designed behavior because non-email PDF files won’t have fields like To:, From:, etc. which will create inconsistency in the PDF Portfolio.
So the workaround would be to email those files and convert/append to portfolios.

    Thanks

  18. What happened to the tool ribbon at the top of the page? Now we have to navigate by mouse to the 'All Tools' menu which is a hassle. Also, the editable moveable tool ribbon only allows 3 or 4 custom tools.

  19. It would be incredibly useful to be able to set keyboard shortcuts for the "Set Status: None, Accepted, Completed, Cancelled, and Rejected" commenting tools.

Set status, to me is an advanced feature used to enable more efficient workflows, adding keyboard shortcuts would add even more efficiency.
