  1. I can't get the number of pages to show up in the navigation pane/tools. In previous versions it was where the hand, arrow, and + and - buttons are. Is there some way that I can get the number of pages in the document without having to open thumbnails and scrolling down to see the total number of pages. Usually there was a box with 1/200 pages etc. Thanks!

  2. A file may have many types of comments, many colors, many authors, etc. If one wants to hide only one variety (e.g., the color red), one has to select all but the red dot and then press the Apply button for the filtered selections.
This would be simpler if one could select only the red dot and press a new Exclude button/function. Further, Apply and Exclude could be combined to mimic an electrical (ON | OFF) switch.

For very large files with many comments, filtering consumes a lot of time. For shared files on servers, the time is magnified by…

  4. I no longer have "send for signature" as one of my tools options. It was there this morning and when I tried to send something to be signed earlier it said your server was down.

  6. Page numbers and zooming tools are no longer at the top of the page but to the right. If this isn't a bug, you guys have lost your minds. It would not be quite as horrible if there were a quick, easily accessible option to fix it to the way any reasonable human being would want it to be.

  7. The new version of Acrobat moves tools to the left and navigation tools to the right without giving an option for users to customize the location. Having page navigation on the right is unergonomic because the natural reading order is left to right, and people click bookmark titles and page numbers before reading the page content. In books, the table of contents comes before the main content of the book, and you flip rightwards after choosing a chapter to read.

With navigation on the left, the tools would be on the right-hand side in the new version. This makes intuitive…

  9. All Tools is useful, but if it cannot be re-ordered, or items removed, then it becomes more cumbersome than useful. Nobody will ever Generate a Podcast based on a PDF, and therefore it's useless to have Generate Podcast as the first option on the All tools list, since it cannot be moved, demoted, or removed.

  10. Please stop changing the Acrobat interface every year. It is very frustrating and time wasting to find the basic tools that I use to navigate documents. A basic thing like Marquee Zoom and other basic tools should be obvious and accessible, not buried in menus. I've wasted an hour this morning and whilst I can find the tool now, no idea how to add to standard tool bar. Stop doing this!!!!

  11. It would be very useful to be able to scroll 2 pdfs simultaneously as in office tools.
Best would be to be able to scroll side by side with the possibility to do it Synchronously or not (in case of different number of pages).

  12. I need to be able to view a document's Page Thumbnails AND bookmarks at the same time, rather than toggling back and forth between them on the navigation pane.

  13. Previous versions of Acrobat would hide comments when their status changed and no longer matched the current filter. Can we bring this back? It makes doing corrections so much easier.

  15. I hope the new version of Acrobat UI layout with bookmarks on the left and tools on the right.
Currently, it is the opposite—bookmarks on the right and tools on the left. The majority of languages used worldwide are read from left to right, but the workflow in Acrobat goes from right to left, which is inconsistent with general reading habits. Many users complain about this on the internet.
It is suggested that bookmarks be placed on the left and tools on the right, or that there should be customizable layouts.

  16. In the most recent update to Adobe Acrobat, you removed Share & Track tool. I realize this tool has been changed to 'Share' and the original Send and Track is still available via browser. Even so, having Send & Track within the application tools is much more convenient.

Why don't I use the new 'Share' tool? Unfortunately the Share feature does not allow us to send a protected document. It is also very clunky to format a message longer than 5 words with custom subject line.

Bring back Send and Track in the UI please.

    Thanks!

  18. Every time I open a PDF/A compliant document, a toolbar message shows up (see attachment). The only way to close it is by clicking on "Enable Editing," to which you are warned about its consequences.

It would be great if I could close it without Enabling Editing. It would be even better if this message only showed up if I tried to edit the document in first place.

  19. The Acrobat development team is comprised of morons! The default view after installing the latest release hides the top level menubar. How moronic! You stupid idiots! On Windows laptops, the F Keys are generally reassigned by developers. Hence, the F8 and F9 keys won't use the app's F key actions. In short, one cannot use the new Acrobat UI on a Windows laptop. One has to view the UI in the legacy format. Can you not see how stupid it is to hide the top level menubar as a default view?

  20. The new interface makes Acrobat unusable for me. It is counter-intuitive, not intuitive. I can't find the tools I use. I don't even know if they exist anymore. I use it all day for commenting on documents and I can't find the tools such as text callout, circle, arrow, or line. This is only one of many problems. Thankfully you allowed me to revert to the old design. Without the old interface availability, I would need to abandon Adobe Acrobat as a viable product.
If Acrobat was a car the new interface would be equivalent to removing the steering wheel…
