ALWAYS DEFAULT TO HAND TOOL OR SELECT TOOL - USER PREFERENCEMake a reliable way for users to set a default for either the "pan" or "text selection" tools. You will see both issues have been raised in online help forums and suggested on this platform. I use Acrobat mostly for reading documents. I am so tired of inadvertantly highlighting text or selecting images every time I left click and drag the mouse in an effort to pan because the system defaults to the Select tool rather than the Pan tool. YES - I have deselected "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" under Accessibility. YES - I have selected "Make… 7 votes

Add multiple tagsIn the Tags pane, add a context menu item under New Tag titled Add Multiple tags. The dialog box would allow the user to select the type of tag to add and another input for the number of tags to add. 4 votesHi,
We have taken up your request and have kept it in out radar. We don’t have plan to implement it now but we’ll add it in our future releases. Thanks

Give option to revert to classic page viewHate this new format. The sidebar icons are too small. The quick tools is not intuitive. Why was it necessary to move the pages and bookmarks to the right when we are accustomed to seeing them on the left. Really frustrated that I can't revert to classic layout or rearrange the tool bars to my preferences. I also don't like that I can't remove drawing and signing from the quick toolbars. I rarely use those features. Just a really poor update with no recourse for the user. 38 votes

Add selection tool for selecting all comments on each page in bulkAdd selection tool for selecting all comments on each page in bulk. In addition, add the rotate comment tools by selecting all comments. This is required while shifting comments from Old PDF document to New PDF document with major change in sheets/ orientation etc. 4 votes

Make UI CustomizableThe new UI that was forced upon us is not the most efficient layout for everyone. Therefore, we need the ability to be able to customize access to what tools we use most often. Most of the ones I currently use take multiple clicks to get to and through this, costs me time and frustration. It seems from reading other comments that I am not alone in this viewpoint. 39 votes

Hate the new lookThe latest update to Adobe is terrible. Please revert back to support the old version Everything takes way longer and functions are now hidden within other functions also why did you swap the side that the tools are on? it makes no sense. 14 votes

Ability to undock the comments listAbility to undock the comments list and view it horizontally. There are cases where the comments can be really long, and a vertically orientated list makes it really difficult to read, not to mention the comment may even take up the entire comments pane. Sharing the same screen space between bookmarks, the actual content, and the comments list makes everything less readable. Users should have the option to undock the list and view it anyway they like. 9 votes

New Layout is CounterproductiveNew layout of Adobe Reader is utterly counterproductive, and makes everyday use of Adobe Reader much slower and confusing.
I, as well as many other users I know, am using Bookmarks and Pages in at least 95% of times when I use Reader. Therefore, they should be placed on the left, where they are expected to be (it is simply a standard for similar "master-detail" situations).
Also, primary tools, like paging, zoom-in and -out, are placed in a bottom-right corner, just like they were hiding?! But these are the basic tools, and they must be placed centrally, either…7 votes

AI Assistant (beta) buttonPlease give an option to EASILY get rid of the AI Assistant (beta) feature. Ever since installing the latest update, my Acrobat Pro runs SUPER slowly. I don't actually need AI to read documents. I do need Acrobat to be able to scroll without freezing constantly. Otherwise, what's the point of paying for Acrobat when there are tools that scroll perfectly fine for free? The new UI is fine otherwise, but I had to disable it (View > Disable new Acrobat) just so I could scroll through documents without Acrobat freezing constantly since you added that AI Assistant feature. 102 votes

New Acrobat: Wish List for a Better InterfaceWhat users need in the new interface... Fellow users, please add or vote up the features that are most critical for you.
(Interface-related only, not new features or utilities.)ONE:
A totally customizable set of toolbars — left, right, top, and bottom of the application window, and also on a side monitor.— User determines which toolbars are visible. — User can dock or float them anywhere, including on a second monitor that's outside the application window. — User chooses which tools are in each toolbar. — User chooses whether each tool/utility is represented as an icon only, icon +… 99 votes

Scrap the new interface!Worst interface change ever! I am in the print graphics industry and I rely heavily on the ability to view my PDF page sizes. Removing the page scaling size from the toolbar along with a place to shortcut my most used tools was a slap in the face to your core user base. Leave those features alone! 20 votes

Stop messing with the GUI on your productsPlease, for the love of all that's good and right in the world, stop dramatically changing the GUI of your products that are already functional as is and making us relearn where all the tools we use are because you decided to rearrange the furniture. It's not fun. It's certainly not an improvement. I have work to do, I don't have time to figure out, every time there's an "update" where you decided to hide everything I need to use to get through my day. Your latest Acrobat "improvements" meant that in the middle of an important, time-sensitive project, I… 13 votes

Please restore ability to copy and paste comment shapes (arrow, line, rectangle, oval) from one PDF to anotherSince updating to Acrobat Pro DC (version 2017.012.20098), I cannot individually copy arrow, line, rectangle, or oval shapes (with or without accompanying comments) from one PDF and paste them into another PDF. As an editor, I use these tools all day to mark corrections and I regularly have the need to carry over unaddressed/outstanding edits to the next version of the project. Without the ability to simply copy and paste, I have to redo a lot of work—losing efficiency and opening up room for error. Please restore this fundamental function! 60 votesCould anyone please upload a video link showing the issue? Meanwhile we are trying to ascertain the scenarios where it does not work. Regards,
 Arvind

hard to editI am having a hard time editing my documents. I can't find tools. There is a "search for tools function" but it only searches the document and not for tools. Is there an easy way to go back to the earlier version as I'm finding this version very non functional. For instance, it keeps turning on a grid, which is irritating. One time, after about 15 min, I found a way to turn it off (using Google search!) but now I can't find it again. We should be able to search for a tool. 6 votes

CommentsThe ability to view a summary of all comments while working in Adobe Document cloud. Also the ability/option to hide "resolved" comments. We can mark comments as resolved, but they stay in the list, making things very cluttered. If I could turn on an option that would automatically hide (but not delete) comments once I've marked them as resolved, that would help tremendously as we go through proofreading comments. 5 votes

Redesign the Idiotic UI designAdobe Photoshop has 70 tools. Acrobat has about half the number of tools as Photoshop. In Photoshop, a user doesn't have to load tools. All are accessible from the Tools panel and menu commands in the Windows menu. In Acrobat one has to load tools from the Load Tools Window. Also in Photoshop one can configure a personalized UI design and save the Workspace. In Acrobat one can spend a few hours configuring the Workspace (for example one designed for working on forms) then the user begins to work on other activities (say comment & review). To… 4 votes

Adobe, you've outdone yourself. Acrobat is now the biggest steaming pile of garbage you've ever come up withNot only is the website I'm physically on garbage, but whatever minion at Adobe thought that mirroring the interface in Adobe Acrobat was a good idea doesn't have half of their brain in their skull. A new intuitive design? When the majority of people who've been using your product for years now can't do half of the tasks it's taken them to do in a half hour now takes 2 hours and a number of crashes, can't really say this is an improvement. Quick tools? I can't remove the ones that are in the toolbar, and there's room for… 22 votes

Worst version everThe new version of Acrobat is the worst program I have ever seen in any category. I dont usually use vulgar language, but the long list of 4 letter words available would be the only way to fully describe the latest user interface. Everyone makes mistakes, but the entire team that is responsible for this product should be fired. All tools and details needed to navigate and manipulate a file were so easy prior to this useless version. 32 votes
