  1. When exporting a PDF to Word, the files automatically default to Turn Spell Check off. This has caused numerous errors in my documents as spell check is an necessary function. This is under the Review tab, language Function in Word. I don't understand why Adobe would default to that. It did not used to do that. At the very least, you should offer the option to the individual doing to conversion to have the choice in their setup.

  2. I don't want the forced tools on top, including Home, Tools, Document, and several of the page display icons. I'm a genius and I'll offer a brilliant idea: let users customize their own screen!

    When the window isn't maximized, there's insufficient room for all the tools, and the default unwanted ones prevent the ones I need from being displayed! When the + and - zoom icons aren't shown, they're also not even listed behind the 3-bullet icon on the far right! This is obviously a bug. It's further difficult since Acrobat refuses to zoom when using Ctrl-scroll on a "high-precision"…

  3. When I review a downloaded file or make changes to a document and go to save the file I get a blank "Save as PDF" window that never completes loading. If I use [ctrl][s] to save the file I get a message that I don't have write privileges for the document. The program worked fine until yesterday.

  5. The rubbish message bar that appears under the already wasteful 2 menu bars when there is a limitation or error CAN NOT BE CLOSED.

    This specific error bar can't be hidden by clicking the red cross, and I only have two options in the drop menu - both to enable javascript - that I DO NOT WANT.

    Per all my other comments adobe's hideous reader interface:
    a) LET ME GET RID OF THE MESSAGE, javascript on or off.
    b) STOP wasting screen space
    c) LE ME GET RID OF ALL THE CLUTTER YOU ADD TO THE PAGE. IT DOES…

  6. When I click, "edit PDF" adobie automatically tries to recognize all the text on the document.

    It fails and shreds the text into what looks like hieroglyphs.

    Why is this the default?

    I just want to add a picture, why is it forcing me to recognize all the text in my document?

  7. provide user to display
    message in password protected files, with password
    hint that can be given by the pdf creator - example to
    open password protected file, user provides hint - first
    4 charters of your name + year of birth
    so the user opening files know what combination has to
    be provided to open the file.

    it will save huge
    inconvenience as different credit card companies,
    bank's use varied combinations. it will save lot of hassle
    if these pdf will be provided with user configurable pop
    up box to as an option.

  8. Here's an idea...whenever trying to edit a picture and this ANNOYING message pops up:
    "The object you selected uses transparency and might look different in your editing application. Furthermore, the appearance of the page may change in unexpected ways after this object is edited. Do you want to edit this object anyway?"

    A NEW OPTION appears > DO NOT ASK AGAIN FOR EVER AND EVER THRU ETERNITY. THANKS

  9. I pdf attachments to open in Acrobat instead of Reader. I have both Acrobat and Reader installed and attachments always default to opening in Reader.

  10. i would like to be able to change the font color used with the measuring tool. sometimes what i am marking up has a black or dark background and the black default font does not show up. The work around is to label on top of the measuring line font which is messy and does not look professional. Please make this enhancement, thank you.

  11. Adobe Sign templates should be replaceable. There's currently no way to upload a new PDF file and replace an existing template. The only recourse is to delete the previous template, upload the revised PDF form as a new template, and then track down all of your workflows and web forms that utilize that template and update them. This defeats the main purpose of a template, which is to allow you to update a form in one place and expect that update to appear everywhere the template is used.

  12. Issue when sender has Outlook 2016 Adobe add-in, send an digitally sign email with an attachment. It works fine when receiver has a Windows OS Outlook 2016, but receiver has Mac OS with Outlook 2016 the attached document comes up as "winmail.dat" does not manner what type of document you attach e.g. .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .pdf

  13. When I right click on a word or excel file and "convert to pdf" it would be better if the new pdf could save to the same folder as the original file by default. There should be an option to allow this, which I found to be a huge time saver when using Kofax Power PDF. The current adobe saving options only allow for using one pre-defined folder, or the last folder that something was saved to. This results in files being saved to the wrong location, or time wasted navigating to different folders every time.

  14. This was closed, but not actually resolved. Nice Try Adobe! I would like to send a PDF without tracking, received via cloud, etc. Either it can be fixed or not. Putting Resolved on it without the features and benefits of the past is not a fix.

  15. Unable to change Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Create Comment Summary Printing Paper Size option from Letter to A4 as a set default. It would be beneficial if this could be changed especially when printing multiple create comment summaries.

  16. I have a pdf document, password protected, works fine. Password is fine, document opens on my desktop mac or any operating system. However, when I upload the document to our website: japanstudy.earlham.edu (Enrollment Procedures - 2018-19 Handbook), I receive this error message. Attached is the screenshot of the error. I cannot fix this, no matter if I change the password or try a variety of settings.

  18. Send & Track emails do not have aligned RFC5321.MailFrom and RFC5322.From fields, thus fail DMARC checking as per acrobat.com policy of "p=reject", which instructs receiving MTAs to reject or bounce misaligned messages.

    Proof attached.

    Please either:
    A) allow users to change the RFC5322.From field in the product UI
    B) or, create a separate subdomain for Send & Track messages with DMARC policy of "p=none"

    This will ensure better deliverability.

  19. New Acrobat UI no longer has the option to open to open multiple files in separate windows and defaults to multiple files as tabs in one window. I found the option of great use with older versions. Please bring back this option.

  20. In the past and in most other Mac programmes we had one click to add a PDF to an email now it is three clicks. Many have raised this issue in the last 12 months. And there is a supposed patch via the PList but it does not work for me on the Mac have tried several times over the months.
