1. Bottom of comments collapse arrow/bar

   I often compare one PDF to another, and the prev version will have lots of comments to make sure I address. To help myself keep track of where I've made it to as I go, I collapse the page's comment list as I complete a page. I really wish there was a small collapse bar with an up arrow/caret at the bottom of each page's comments list, since when I read the last comment about a page, I've scrolled quite a bit in the comments bar and have to scroll up again to collapse the page's list from the top. For ease of continuing, if I could collapse from the bottom of a long list of comments, that would make starting onto the next page that much easier/faster with no scrolling back up!

2. Need Mid Tier Acrobat Subscription For Form Filling

   Should create a new mid level tier of Acrobat, call it Acrobat Desktop or something similar, and offer a $20/year subscription. Include basic reader functionality but add the ability to add text to existing PDF documents. As a casual user that might need to fill a form a few times a year I cannot justify a Professional subscription at $20/mo, but a basic Desktop subscription for $20/year I would sign up immediately.

3. [Reader DC] Fill & Sign Comb Field does not work with Central European characters

   When typing Fill & Sign text, as soon as a Central European character is entered, Fill & Sign switches to another font. If the field is a comb field, it switches from a monospaced font to a proportional one and breaks the feature completely, the letters don't fit anymore into boxes that Adobe Reader shows.

   Additionally, even for normal text fields, this fallback means that different fields use different font depending on if any regional characters are there or not. The result looks inconsistent and ugly.

4. Acrobat text-edit comment functionality improvements needed

   1) In the old comment pane, there was text that accompanied each entry identifying it as an underline, strikethrough, replacement, or insert. Now, the text identifier is gone and we only have an arcane symbol. This is awful. I work with clients who are less familiar with Acrobat and this only makes it more difficult for them to understand the nature of my comments. Please bring back the text labels that identify comment pane entries as underlines, strikethroughs, replacements, or inserts.

   2) You know not everyone uses Acrobat on a collaborative team of a dozen people, right? I use it one-on-one with clients. I don't need my name in bold next to every single comment that I make in the comment pane. This just looks silly and is completely unnecessary for the kind of work I do. Please include the option to either remove or make smaller such labels.

   3) Why on earth are there only two options for the size of the comment pane: hugely open or closed? Why can't I just drag the comment pane to the left to make it smaller? I don't need to see every comment I make in giant text. I do need to increase the size of the document I am reading.

   Please make these improvements.

5. Export Data from Multiple Executions of the Same Web Form Template to 1 CSV File

   I currently have an embedded W-9 tax form on my website. This same form may be signed my thousands of users who are participants in my website's referral program. I need to export form field data like name, address and TIN to a single CSV so I can share with my accountant at year-end for 1099 processing. Currently, I can export the data to a CSV 1 file at a time (see screenshot 1). There should be a function to check multiple agreements generated from the same web form template and export data into a single CSV with many rows (see screenshot 2). I'm shocked Adobe doesn't have this functionality as the entire point of an embedded tex-related web form is that many signers execute the same doc. It makes logical sense to allow for the export of all of their data into one file. I'm sure some of this can be solved through the Enterprise API but I should not have to pay $2,500+ for this simple feature.

6. Add Alt-Text to Digital Signatures (ADA / Web Accessibility Feature)

   Accessibility checkers (such as CommonLook) reject PDFs with visible digital signatures, presumably because they lack an Alt-Text feature like standard images have.

   We have new requirements to produce all documents for web postings as being accessible, which means we cannot use digital signatures until they become compliant with accessibility requirements.

   Please add Alt-Text capabilities or another means of making digital signatures accessibility-compliant. It would be nice if default Alt-Text could be set as part of the digital signature configuration (e.g., "Signature of John Smith".

I've been online with Adobe Support and it is confirmed that field names are totally ignored in the compare tool despite having my having a full feature Adobe Pro. (Graphic elements are text field changes seemed to be currently only identified for me.)

8. Need darker text

   Text in PDFs is too light--much harder to read than in older versions of Acrobat Pro. Zooming in doesn't help. Please restore darker text to make documents legible without eyestrain!

   The Acrobat DC is really **** .. I Fill up the Form 3 times and as I save it... it non editable and can't upload anywhere because of encryption

10. Adobe Acrobat Pro bug - extracting text with ligatures

    This is about both editing and exporting PDFs.
    The attached PDF has an explicit explanation of the issues + screenshots. Text from the attached file goes right here.

    I’ve got Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release Version 2015.006.30355.

    The PDF file seems to be a nicely composed PDF with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.2).
    The font used, Museo Slab is a publicly available font, I bet it should not have any major issues.

    In the said file, page 47 there are multiple issues with a context having a ligature ffi in the source text ‘office’. This is the only occurrence in the file containing the word ‘office’.

    1. When Copy/Paste is applied from Acrobat Pro to Notepad++ with the regular Select tool, I get C2 8A UTF-8 bytes which is shown as [VTS] in Notepad++.

    No ‘office’.

    1. With Text Edit tool (Tools > Edit PDF > Edit) I cannot select the entire word. Only starting from the second letter. I try to do selection both with mouse and with SHIFT+keyboard arrows. No way to select the first letter. BUT as for the remaining letters, I get all the components of the ligature as correct letters in the output with Copy/Paste to Notepad++:

    Just ‘ffice’ of ‘office’.
    But this shows that there is facility to get normal text from ligatures, however it is not implemented correctly or not at all in all the tools and scenarios making them all buggy. Why can I not select the leading ‘o’?

    1. Also, when exported to HTML, the ligature gets encoded as C2 8A in UTF-8.

    The same as for Copy/Paste.

    If the routine which allows copying ffi from the edit tool was applied to Select and Export tools, some of the Acrobat Pro bugs would be fixed.

    I have several other bugs in my list. If this makes sense for Adobe, please confirm, and I will keep posting. Moreover, I hope these will be fixed asap. These bugs are there since at least v9.

11. Signature Field Duplicates

    I have a sign-in sheet I send to all participants of a meeting. The sheet has a series of lines for signatures and in the past I have been able to click each line and add a field for an individual signature.

    Now, when I click the first line, it populates all lines below it with the same signature field. It does not do this with the name field, only the signature.

    If I manually delete these extra signature fields everything looks fine, but after I send it out I find that the deleted signature fields still exist beneath the fields I added after deleting the ones inappropriately duplicated.

    The work around I have is clicking a random spot on the sheet, not the lined portion, creating a signature field and then moving it to a line. It works but is slower than simply clicking the appropriate location.

12. Text menus- not hieroglyphics please.

    Text menus should be an option in preferences. Your non-standard hieroglyphics just aren't working for me and I've been using this version for about a year- if I could go back to version nine I would in a heartbeat. You still have the File, Edit, View, Window, Help text menus (don't you dare!). Why not have the other important functions in another text row underneath?

14. Search doesn't highlight text, navigation arrows moved away from search box

    In Windows version 2023.006, searching a PDF for text doesn't highlight the selected text. The navigation arrows for moving between searched text instances have moved to the lower right side of the window, away from the search box. That's not intuitive at all, and requires moving the mouse or touching a different area away from the user's focus.

15. Highlighter Blocking Text

    Highlighter has changed on me this week - it blocks text out as tho it is on top of the text. not behind. I cannot find a setting to fix this. Lowering the opacity only makes the colour more faded, and the text is washed out. This was not like this 1-2 weeks ago. please fix ASAP - I use this tool everyday.

16. Dropbox Form Feature Conversion for Signature

    Adobe let's you use Dropbox options when creating a form. However, if every Dropbox is completed with content, it doesn't allow you to convert it to be sent for signature and states errors are involved and can't be sent.

    Makes no sense to add it as an option on the form side, but require an answer. If the form was for order, not everyone will select everything and it should be allowed to remain blank and still sent for signature.

    The masking option is tedious and not worth the time.

17. Issues with selecting and deleting text

    When selecting text then pressing the delete key, the work is highlighted as deleted, but if I select text straigh after and press delete it dow not work. You need to press escape or select nothing and reselect again before you can delete text again.

19. Highlight Text

    When you have to highlight text and you want to change color you need to go to: Secondary button, Properties, Select the color that is by default and then choose a new color.

    I suggest that when selecting the Highlight Text tool a side tab be enabled that allows us to change colors. Attached example of the suggestion

This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader.     While in Adobe forms, I can set a field to Auto detect font size, and the font size reduces in the file. When I take that same file and send it to be signed, the document loses this functionality, and the Auto Detect no longer works - it automatically goes to scroll text, and you cannot see the full text. A support agent worked with me and this went to Tier II support, and they said my only option was to enlarge the box, or allow it to scroll. This bug truly needs to be fixed. A field function should not change when moving from an adobe file, to the Adobe Sign file. I have tried reinstalling, updating, and repairing and it does not fix the issue.
