1. New Interface

   Your update is horrible. I get the wanting to stay new but if you have a competant program why mess with it? I use this in the design field and the only thing the update has done is add time to each task.

   I'm about over it. I have been using this program since 2012 and cannot stand the updates to the point That I try to avoid the program. Before the update, you could select the tool, use it and then you would have to click on it again to use it. Now I am constant double clicking / triple clicking just to get out of the tool. And what is with the select text option / pan button? What idiot thought it would be a good idea to click on a tool and it give you two options so the user has to decide every single time. Whoever decided to come up with this update must of been bored or have never used the program before. Extremely dissapointed.

2. Ditch the 2023 User Interface in Acrobat

   There are so many shortcomings and problems with the new 2023 GUI interface. Here are just a few:

   1. Swapping left and right-hand panels for no reason. This does not improve anything for users. It just forces users to change everything about how they work in Acrobat every workday.

   2. Functions are indicated by random icons. In the 90s, we learned that icons in software and websites don't work across different populations. Users have a difficult time figuring out what the heck they mean. Give text labels.

   3. The left panel is permanently positioned on the screen and obscures part of the document below. Seriously Adobe, WTF.

   4. The entire menu/panel system can't be customized, moved, or docked. Another WTF.

   5. Hamburger menus (those obscure 3 horizontal lines) are used on mobile interfaces to collapse menus. They are totally unnecessary and inappropriate on desktop interfaces — where working people spend most of their time working. Give people real menus with real names. "Menu" is not accurate, either. What is the name of the other menu to the right? Menu 2? Cheeseburger Menu?

   6. The new interface is inaccessible for those with disabilities who use assistive technologies, especially screen reader users. Adobe has seriously violated its VPAT with governments and corporations worldwide who are required by law to provide accessible work environments and tools.

   7. Grey on Grey is not an accessible color scheme. Can't tell if some icons are active or disabled. Those with low vision can't discern the icons.

   8. Digital signatures, Document Cloud (where Adobe stores your files by default), subscriptions, OCR, file creation, file combining, and accessibility all have reported major problems for the past few years...but rather than fix these critical problems, money was instead spent on rearranging the deck chairs on the sinking Titanic.

   As long-time PDF consultants, my firm has found that the majority of customers are professionals who use Acrobat for their jobs. These are not "casual" users working on their smartphones. They are using desktops/laptops with full screens, not mobile devices to do their jobs. And they work with PDFs a lot.

   They have developed actions and scripts to automate processes on dozens, hundreds, and even thousands of PDF files every day. These industries include print, prepress, graphic design, accessibility & remediation, accessible forms, variable forms, variable printing, data validation, financial institutions (think of all those bank statements every month!), health care, investment and finance, and manufacturing.

   Dramatic GUI changes like 2023's completely change how these automated processes work...if they still work at all.

   The cost to these industries to correct the now-broken processes — brought on by Adobe's whimsical, untested design idea — is appalling. If I was a major corporation hit by this unnecessary expense, I'd ban Adobe products from my company and look for another PDF vendor.

   Calling this Acrobat's "Modern Viewer" is a form of gaslighting Adobe customers. It's not modern at all — 30 years ago, using icons failed in software and web interfaces, and it's failing again with Acrobat 2023. Sometimes retro isn't good, especially retro user interfaces. Please don't attempt to bring back disco, old-fashioned 20 inch TVs, polyester suits, rotary phones and VHS tapes as being "Modern," too.

   Ditch this "Modern Viewer" and instead give us a working tool to get our jobs done.

   1. Revert the interface back to what it was.

   2. Fix Acrobat's bugs. There are so many!

   3. And improve the accessibility for those with disabilities (who can't get to the Comments panel, Bookmarks panel, understand what and how much is redacted, make edits or change the content, scale/enlarge the interface, nor sign a PDF).

   For those still reading this, users can revert to the old interface for now (August 2023).
   — Windows: Hamburger Menu / Disable New Acrobat
   — Mac: View Menu / Disable New Acrobat

   I have no idea who long Adobe is going to let us revert to the "real" interface.

3. Acrobat Pro Version 2023.006.20320 Not showing document size

   Acrobat Pro Version 2023.006.20320 Not showing document size in lower left. "Always show document page size" is on, but will not show. Other users reporting same bug. Also with this update scroll bars do not show up unless you begin to scroll with mouse touch and disappear quickly before you can grab. Both of these are problems with professional use of this software.

4. Bug: Adobe Acrobat Pro closes/crashes during OCR

   Adobe closes immediately after clicking Recognize Text in the Scan & OCR tool or Optimize Scanned Pages in the Optimize PDF tool. This occurs on the Windows 10 desktop version. I've tried checking for updates (already up to date) and repairing the installation.

5. Change format of Highlight Current Bookmark feature

   The "Highlight Current Bookmark" option currently makes the outline of the bookmark icon a little darker or bolder, but I can barely tell the difference to see which is highlighted. Could the "highlighting" be changed somehow to make it stand out a little more? Maybe the fill color for icon of the current bookmark could be a different color or darker shade.

6. Stop taking up document real-estate with menus!

   All menus should stay at the TOP out of the way, not all over the sides eating up my document real-estate. And now there's a FLOATING MENU RIGHT ON TOP OF MY DOCUMENT that I cannot get rid of. A moderator commented - Choose Help/Check for Updates, and update your acrobat and that floating menu will be docked again. But it says NO UPDATE AVAILABLE.
   
   PLEASE leave the user interface CONFIGURABLE so we can set it up the way we need.

   I long for the old days when the Acrobat interface was open and simple... instead of trying to cram all of your new features in our faces impeding our work.

7. Acrobat zoom controls

   Adobe Acrobat update 23.6.20320.0. When a PDF is open and you zoom in, the scroll bars disappear. Makes navigating PDFs really painful.

8. Re-enable emailing without saving first!!!

   Up until the last update, it was possible to email a pdf without first saving it. It is a total waste of time and space to have to save something you don't need to keep just to be able to email it.
   
   PLEASE FIX THIS BACK THE WAY IT WAS!!!!!!!

9. PLEASE give your users the option to continue using the old user interface!

   I have been using Acrobat for many years, and have mainly rolled with the punches when it came to updates to the user interface. I am sorry, but with this latest update I can no longer sit idly by and suffer through it. If there is any way you could allow your users to continue using the old user interface, I would be eternally grateful. I am trying to be productive at work, and do not have the time to re-figure out how to do everything on a program I am very adept at using. Thank God I just finished a major Acrobat project just a little while ago. I'm not sure I could've done it by my deadline in the new version. I can't stress enough - PLEASE give us an option to continue using the old version!!!

10. Bring back "Clear Recent Documents" feature. Clearing file-by-file is

    Please bring back Acrobat DC option to clear multiple/all recent files with one button.
    Recent update to forces me to clear them file-by-file.
    Taking away 'bulk' clearing option was a BIG step backward which costs me extra time at work.

11. Form Fills Auto Detect not working since Mojave Update

    Form Fills are no longer being detected since updated to the new Mac OSX Mojave.

    Previous PDF's that I used successfully with the form fill option are no longer having their fields detected. Not a single aspect of the form has the field detected. When preparing a form, it quickly goes through all pages and detects zero form fills.

    Need this function for my work, and it's currently crippling me.

12. Multi-Row Toolbar with Colored Icons

    Former versions of Acrobat, prior to Acrobat DC, had the capability of showing tools on two rows at the top of the document pane.

    The lack of colorization of icons in DC, the basic shapes and the inability to show nearly all tools in the toolbar makes it very difficult and time consuming to edit and markup documents. I most often use the full array of tools and find it time consuming to search for tools that don't "fit" on the single row toolbar.

    Please consider a options for users to add a second row or more to the tool bar or some way to show nearly all of the tools while working on a document? The additional screen "real estate" consumed by extra toolbars is not an issue since newer monitors are very large and have high resolution.

    Please see the attached screenshot, as a reference to older versions of Acrobat that had the option for two-row toolbars and detailed, colorized tool icons

13. F2 should be returned to renaming function

    With the newest update, F2 (used universally for renaming across every other PC/Windows program/functionality) was changed to a help function that brings up an Adobe Internet help site.

    F1 is used universally for help, and no one needs that much access to Adobe help pages.

    F2 should be returned to renaming. Ctrl-F2 is a ridiculous and difficult change for renaming and it's the worst idea ever.

    I remediate hundreds of PDFs for accessibility, and having to make a more complicated keystroke to rename tags is a huge problem.

15. Stop text boxes from combining

    PLEASE fix so text boxes stop combining. I KNOW Acrobat is not an "editiing" app but I have to make contact sheets from multiple products and sources from Adobe Bridge. Then the client needs a couple changes, or we need to update an area on the contact sheet ONLY. Constantly have to fight to redo text. Not editable in other apps - Illustrator can only open one page at a time. Can't edit PDF in Indesign. Can't edit in Word. These are NATIVE pdf's from Bridge. Thank you.

16. Update W9 Template to 2024 version

    In Adobe Sign under library documents > Adobe Sign Templates, there are a number of IRS tax forms. The W9 in particular is out of date now that the IRS published a 2024 version. Can you please replace these forms with their most updated version?

17. Brilliant idea: let users customize their interface

    I don't want the forced tools on top, including Home, Tools, Document, and several of the page display icons. I'm a genius and I'll offer a brilliant idea: let users customize their own screen!

    When the window isn't maximized, there's insufficient room for all the tools, and the default unwanted ones prevent the ones I need from being displayed! When the + and - zoom icons aren't shown, they're also not even listed behind the 3-bullet icon on the far right! This is obviously a bug. It's further difficult since Acrobat refuses to zoom when using Ctrl-scroll on a "high-precision" Dell trackpad.

    Acrobat has existed for 24 years, and yet Adobe still lacks the sense to let users decide which toolbar items they want. Please build a time machine and fix this 20 years ago.

    Hi,
    On Windows, suppose if i have 4 tabs open on Acrobat Pro DC, when i navigate my arrow on the Acrobat icon on the task bar, it shows 4 different windows preview of the tabs open. This looks really messy when lots of tabs are open. This also prevents me from doing one click to minimise and one click to maximise window because when i click on the acrobat icon on task bar it shows me preview window of tab and i have to click again.

    On Chrome or firefox, even if i have 50 tabs open, when i navigate the arrow to the chrome icon on the task bar, the preview window only shows One window which is cleaner.

    Hopefully you can provide the open to enable/ disable combined window preview window on task bar.

19. Fill and Sign is the worst update. Please revert to previous versions

    The new version adds no value. Previous versions were simple, efficient, and quick. This new version is cumbersome.
