Bug: selection of text to be corrected produced erroneous selection.
1) Read in the attached file "bug.pdf"
2) Push "Scan & OCR"
3) Push "Correct recognized text."The resulting screen capture for me is shown in the attached file "a.jpg." To create this weird selection, I had toggled on "Review recognized text" then double clicked on "Guide-" which is in the upper right corner of the red box (as currently seen). Notice the text that was recognized was "Cnicl?b". I had hope to replace that text, but making the selection area so large seems nonsensicle.
I'm running on Windows.

How to Backup Apple Mail Emails to External Hard Drive?
For a manual copy, just copy your Apple Mail folders (~/Library/Mail) to an external drive or export them from Mail. That simple approach falls short in automating the task and might even overlook important data.
For commercial-grade backups, MigrateEmails Apple Mail Backup Tool offers better functionality through batch processing, format conversion, and selective archiving of emails. This one-click automated solution safely exports your entire mailbox to external storage - ideal for business or users with large email bases.
Why Automated Backup?
✔ Saves all email metadata & attachments
✔ Incremental & scheduled backup support
✔ Export in multiple formats…2 votes -
Square symbols don't always convert to check boxes
I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI. I used to use Adobe Acrobat X, and encountered the same problem.
I create some REALLY lengthy forms in Word. I apply a style with square bullets to text in Word to create a checkbox list. Then I convert the file to PDF, and then convert the PDF to a form. Every line has the same Word style with the same square symbol for its bullet, so there's nothing about the way I'm applying the formatting that's inconsistent.
I've learned from trial and error that square bullets only convert to checkboxes if the font is…
3 votesThe form field detection algorithm is not perfect, and only provides a good starting point.
You will require manual work to create fields that are not detected by AcrobatAs a workaround, you could try inserting “Square shape” instead of bullets.
Click Insert, click Shapes, select a shape, and then click and drag to draw the shape.I hope this work for you.

Button to advance to next or last file
Provide a back and forward arrows to view previous or next file in current folder.
The reason for this is that it is very time consuming to view a file, close it and open the next file in a folder. I have a free program called IrfanView that I use for image files that has this feature. It really works great and saves time.

BUG - Too easy to unlock PDF created by Adobe Acrobat Pro
A protected PDF can be easily unlocked by free online services. There is no protection for the company who buy this product because they are sensitive with the documents they create.
If you think to a catalogue everyone of your competitor can copy your images and everything in few seconds.1 vote -
need options when editing
When I edit a document, I do not necessarily want to edit existing text. I do not want Acrobat to do an OCR process on the document and create uncountable text boxes (that can easily be messed up), when all I wanted to do was either crop the image or add a text box. Please allow the OCR conversion to be toggled off.
Also when scanning, if you go into an option like increase resolution, all of the changes (like selection of document size) made on the previous screen are lost and have to be entered again Too time consuming!3 votesHello,
Please have a look at below link. It will let you know the way to turn off automatic OCR.

Let us know if it works for you.

Flexible Navigation Pane, Page Control & Toolbar Docking
I use dual 32" monitors for CAD. In version 2023-008-20470 this results is 8" of dead space on each side of a 8-1/2" x 11" PDF . While I like the smaller icons of the latest release, it is infuriating that I cannot place the toolbar, navigation pane, and page controls (Pg#, zoom, magnification, etc.) across the top where they would be most efficient to access in my situation. Their fixed positions on the sides of the screen might be acceptable to laptop users, but it is very inefficient on large monitors.

PDF won't open from Windows Explorer after a different PDF is opened from inside Madcap Flare
I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC and MadCap Flare 2018 r2 on a Windows 10 operating system.
Steps to reproduce:
- Build a PDF in Flare.
- Open the PDF from inside Flare.
- Double-click on a different PDF in Windows Explorer.
Expected result: Second PDF opens.
Actual result: Second PDF does not open. The error message that shows up sometime later says: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.MadCap support has been unable to resolve the issue.

Acrobat Pro crashes when combining mixed‑dimension JPGs into a single PDF
In the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, attempting to combine multiple JPG files of varying pixel dimensions and DPI into a single PDF causes the application to close abruptly without any error message. This occurs consistently when at least one image in the batch differs significantly in resolution or aspect ratio from the others.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open Acrobat Pro (latest build).
Go to File → Create → Combine Files into a Single PDF.
Add multiple JPG images with different dimensions/DPI (e.g., mix of 300 DPI A4‑sized scans and smaller 72 DPI images).
Click Combine.

Senior discount for life long users
As a decades user of Adobe products (think dongle for AE), as myself and many other Boomers enter retirement, but still are doing some gfx/imaging type work, offering a Senior discount for life long users would be most appreciated.

'Unable to process the page because the Paper Capture recognition service experienced an error
This has been reported on another thread and marked as solved - it isn't. I have just purchased a copy of Acrobat Pro and am unable to edit .pdf's, which is precisiely why I bought it. The subscription simply isn't worth the money without this capability.
I have noticed some suggested solutions but these are highly technical and not something I would have access to do at work.
Could a solution be suggested - fast - as it seems as though this is quite a common error?

Hyperlinks cannot be opened in Acrobat Reader!!! I can't even get access to the URL?!
It would be great to have hyperlinks to work on Acrobat Reader... At least make it easy to see and copy the URL, thanks.

Webforms
For webforms, please create an option to save a completed webform before it is signed by the user? This would create a copy should anything go wrong when submitting it back to us. We had a student who completed a form, signed it, then entered an incorrect email address and the form was lost and we did not receive it. There was no copy or way to retrieve it.

Acrobat Pro DC – Text Watermark Font Bug
Mac OS X 10.13.6
Acrobat Pro DC – Version 2021.001.20138Inserting a text watermark using the Helvetica Neue font enters a series of boxes instead of the text. All weights and slopes affected except, bizarrely, the ‘Thin’ weight.
Inserting text using the Helvetica Font produces the error message “The font ‘Helvetica,Xxxx’ contains an invalid encoding. Some characters may not display correctly”. This error message appears on saving the PDF and every time it is opened in Acrobat Reader DC.
Both fonts are system fonts and work satisfactorily in all applications (e.g. InDesign, Word) including Acrobat Pro DC, but not as…

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Printing too Many Copies
Acrobat is printing the square of however many copies I ask it to print. So, if I print 2 copies, Acrobat actually prints 4. If I print 4 copies, Acrobat prints 16, etc. I am running it on a Mac mini and my printer is an HP LaserJet Pro 400. I have tried turning off the computer & printer, with no success. It is still doing the same thing.
