  1. In Acrobat XI Pro and Acrobat DC, when using the Advanced settings in Print, items such as Screening do not actually persist with saved custom profiles. If you select settings and save it under a new profile, switch to another and then view the profile where you had the desired settings, the settings will be found to never have saved in the first place.

Additionally there is no way to save these custom profiles as a default.

  5. The user interface is quite challenging, because it takes a bit to load each time I want to do something. I may want to edit, create a form, and do drawing markups on a single file.

Please provide an option for me to display all the tools I want to use in a single screen.

  9. I have several potfolio with simial structure. Each time I open them I want a view with a vertical split in the window and the source folder added to the file deails pane. Not a big deal but adds up to some time. I have not been successful in finding a custom layout which provides this - they seem to be a daunting subject.. So my question is would it be possinle to write a macro I could run on opening the layout and where could I find hints/advice on how to write such a macro.

  10. When first applying a hairline fix in Acrobat (all lines below 0,25 pt to 0,25 pt) and then flattening transparency in Acrobat using the transparency flattener, Acrobat crashes. I see the progress bar going to 100% and then Acrobat crashes without any error.

BUT... if I skip the hairline fix step, then Acrobat flattens the file without problems. So there must be something with the hairline fix that causes the transparency flattener to crash.

Using Acrobat Pro DC 2017.012.20098 on Mac.

    Example files in attachment.
    File ...WITH... crashes while flattening.
    File ...WITHOUT... flattens fine.

We apologise for the issue you are facing. Yes, the crash is reproducible. We will investigate this and revert back.

  11. I want Adobe Acrobat Pro 17 to work at least half as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro XI that did the jobs I needed wonderfully well for me. I NEED TO CLOSE THE RIGHT PANEL JUST LIKE I COULD IN XI!!!!!!!!!!! i SEE OTHERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT TOO. If something wasn't broke in older version why "fix it" with this one. It interferes with my ability to follow through on searched text and read same with the split screen capability Windows offers! PLEASE FIX IT SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. The current 32-bit version of Acrobat Pro DC becomes corrupt within a few weeks of normal use on a 64-bit machine, which thereafter makes it increasingly frustrating to use (with difficulties saving files to new names or locations, among many other issues). I am tired of having to reinstall your software every few weeks, only to see it degenerate to the point of unusability again. I wish you would release a 64-bit version that was designed for dedicated use on a 64-bit machine.

  14. Summary of the Problems: Search result snippets in an Advanced Search are often uninformative due to two distinct problems.

Problem 1. The length of text snippet in each search result is too short.
Problem 2. The search term occurs too "early" in the result snippet (that is, the term you searched for is the first or second word in the snippet--you see nothing that came before your term, which is often what you needed to know).

Solution to Problem 1: allow the user the ability to customize the maximum size of snippets returned with search results. We have huge monitors…

  16. I have been trying to add an index for a 278 page book in PDF. I spent an hour on the phone to tech support in India and no one there seems to know how to do this.

I also need to be able to VIEW it and install it into this PDF to publish it. PLEASE add a tutorial on how this is done, step by step, without CLOUDING the issue with terms like "catalog" and "metatdata" that do NOT contribute to the objective.

  17. Compare Documents - Please add an option or setting to the compare document feature of Acrobat DC so that page shifts in paragraphs of unchanged text are not marked as changes.

Currently it shows as a text delete and then a text insert on the following page.

  20. Our county's superior court system requires that we e-file all documents into the court; upon filing a document with the system ("LINX"), LINX timestamps it.

This doesn't work with a certified e-signed document, because Adobe locks the document from future editing. If I try to e-file a certified copy, LINX immediately rejects the file, because of course LINX can't timestamp it.

I'm forced to print out the file, physically scan it again, and e-file the document that I had e-signed in the first place! Am I missing a checkbox somewhere that I can check, to force Adobe to allow editing…

    Hi Molly, Kevin,

    Thanks for writing to us.

From what I understand, you require your PDF to be digitally signed again, after you have shared it after certifying and digitally signing by your signature? Can you please try these steps and see if this is what you require:

    1. Open PDF in Acrobat DC. From Tools→ select ‘Prepare form’ app and click Start. Add (at least) 2 signature fields from top toolbar and save the document
    2. Right click on the first signature field and select ‘Certify with visible signature’. In the Certify Document dialog that comes up, under ‘Permitted Actions After Certifying’, select ‘Form fill-in and digital signatures’
    3. Now sign the document by adding your signature
    4. Send the document to LINX now

Does this solve your problem? Please let us know.

    Thanks,
    -amboo
