  4. This is a recurring problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC: When a file is closed in Acrobat (by closing the corresponding tab), the program doesn't not release the file. As a result, the file cannot be renamed or moved until Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is closed. I have attached an image of the error dialog that pops up. This is on Windows.

Of course, this is a major inconvenience because I have many tabs open and closing Adobe merely to be able to rename a file that's no longer supposed to be open in Adobe is not something that enhances…

The error here explains that the PDF is opened in Adobe PRO.

This could be because the file is still writing the changes made in the PDF.

Could be that the file is opened from a server location/shared servers. And that the change is waiting to commit.

  5. One Acrobat instance installed but 2 instances of Acrobat PRO DC running concurrently prevent PDFs from opening. Only solution is to quit "both" Acrobats and try again. Uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat does not help. Uninstalling and reinstalling the entire ACC suite does not help either. Problems observed in three separate, not networked Macs. No Acrobat Free Reader installed on the systems either.

    Hi Andres,

Can you elaborate on the behavior here:
    1. What happens when you open a PDF with Acrobat? Does it trigger two instances of Acrobat.
    2. When you just launch Acrobat from finder, does that also trigger two separate instances.

    Thanks

  6. I have MS Surface Book. I draw on screen all the time. I draw on PDFs in free apps. It should be possible in this, very expensive one, don't you think?

The issue was at the hardware side hence closing this issue. Thanks for providing us your feedback. Do let us know in case you face any issues in future.

  7. cannot activate acroat dc pro - with existing account keeps going back to Trial expired - buy, i am an annual customer already. Tried to contact live person, held on phone 20+ plus minutes, transferred and have been holding 49.51 minutes so far. Agent said "do not hang up" will take longer. This is ridiculous.. Adobe has no problem in collecting my annual fee for these services, i should have no problems in having full accessibility. What's up Adobe???

    1. Enhance multiple files at one time
    2. Add the add files/folders option to select multiple files to enhance the same way I can do so when recognizing text
    3. Saves time - since this option will add OCR it will deskew the pages at the same time

  10. Hello,

i already created a bug report to pdfbox because i thought it's not a adobe bug. But in the comments they told me thats maybe an adobe bug.

The link of the bug is:

    https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-4045

Is it possible to check which is correct?

    Thanks

Thanks for raising your concern, we are escalating the issue to the concerned team. I would like to add Acrobat XI now is end of life, i would recommend upgrading to Acrobat DC for a better experience.

  11. There should be an option to export one PDF file to one HTML file. It should export it like if there is only one symbol in PDF.

  12. I would like to know how to delete or hide properties in Acrobat Pro DC? For example, the dates modified, the created, and the edit time. This would be great for documents that are reused over the course of time.

  14. I need to process large PDF files that are often sent to me with duplicate pages. Dupes are often very difficult to manually locate in a 3,000 page + Document.

  15. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is way too cumbersome. The old Acrobat Pro 9 was much more user friendly. Too much time is spent trying to find out how to work with this version.

DC is now our prime product with all the active development. Change can be a little convenient but i assure you DC will not disappoint you.

  16. I get a "limit reached" message when installing DC on home PC. The "limit reached" message says my email has been used to activate the software on 2 computers.

I'm signed into DC on my office PC and nowhere else that I can tell.

I’m signed into Adobe Scan app on my phone but I don’t have DC installed on my phone.

  17. Currently I have to push 4 or 5 buttons to get a scanned document to be text recognized. I'd like a one-button solution. Perhaps it exists. Using Acrobat Pro DC on a Mac.
