  1. I only want to "star" a document once in its lifetime. Right now, I have the experience that I need to "star" the same document every time I update the document. If that's true, its idiotic, stupid Adobe engineering.

  2. German, as we know, is a language with some very long words. Therefore it is very common that words will be automatically split across lines, using what we used to call a "soft" hyphen. When exporting a PDF in German to a Word document, this "soft" hyphen is not distinguished from a "hard" hyphen (i.e. one which is produced by a key-stroke (as in the hyphen used just then).
I was asked yesterday to "Compare" a revised document in German (submitted as a pdf) with a former version in Word, and submit an estimate for updating the English translation. The…

  3. Adobe development personnel just don't use very often the program they create. These new moronic millennial programers have no idea what real world use people are engaged in using the applications they work on. A case in point is the continual prevention for users to install Reader and Acrobat on the same computer. Assume for a moment one is a forms developer who creates hundreds of forms as an employee of a large corporation or a designer serving many clients. EVERY SINGLE BLOODY FORM one creates in Acrobat MUST be tested in Adobe Reader BEFORE deploying the form. So…

  4. Reopening last session tabs/files is disaster. It takes so long when each tab is loading one by one. The tabs should only display and load only when you click them, like in any internet browser.
The worst thing is when you want to open new file. You have to wait until all the previous ones from the last session are loaded!

  5. When using auto-tag, often graphic elements are forced to back or deleted. See attached examples, where the text next to the HHS-CDC logo is messed up after auto-tag.

  6. "find" function is not working, or it only finds words on the first page of the documents. I didn't change a thing how I use the ADobe, but something is messed up with the update, maybe?

  7. Hi There,

I am not sure if I am posting this under the correct category as there does not seem to be one that matches my issue / suggestion.

I work for a Staffing and Recruiting company as a recruiter. As such, I look at many resumes that people send to me via email. Most of them are in .PDF format. Because I call people and leave messages for them to call me back, I often have multiple resumes open at once in case they call me back to discuss a job opportunity. I have them open to save…

  9. Whoever made the tools sidebar THIS convoluted to operate is ********. Yes, he is allowed to take it personal. Fire that guy. Give us a Default toggle for the sidebar tools, not this half-assed "remember state of" toggle that is buried in the corner.

  10. I don't understand why I have to sign in every time I want to view a document or why it will not keep me signed in. It is horribly inconvenient to have to sign in every day, just to view pdfs.

  11. I'm working with the Fire Department to make several of their forms digital. There are a few pages where we need to designate areas to draw on.
Example 1 - the page has various views of a human body: front, back, left side, right side. They need to show where burns/injuries are on the victim for an official report. The bottom layer could contain the images of the body outline, and if we could designate "draw on top of" areas, they could use their finger or stylus to identify those areas.
    Example 2 - They need to provide a "field…

  12. I always Disable the New Adobe Acrobat - the system asks me to share "why", then it says that the share feature is no longer available. The why is that the new version is lame and slows my productivity. Actually, is there was a software to replace some of the features, this subscription would be history. Do better Adobe - listen to your customers and don't treat us like we are idiots.

  13. using the document cloud to convert the word doc to PDF, the page layout was messed up, there were blank pages in the pdf. Tables did not fit. It was not an exact copy of the word doc. However using the save as function on word gave the exact copy but of course without the hyperlinks

  14. Hi, I have been making PDFs from InDesign CC 2019 running on Mac OS High Sierra. When opening the PDFs in Acrobat Pro DC, it's creating broken links from text that does not look like a URL and where no links have been specified. I think it's the 'Create Links from URLs' feature in Acrobat preferences trying to be helpful but failing miserably. This seems to affect text that uses a colon : but I can't ask my client not to use colons in their copy just because Acrobat is incorrectly reading it as a URL. My client is asking…

I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
Can you share with us the acrobat version and the operating system you are using
Also some sample PDFs with which you are facing this issue.

  15. When copying anything from a pdf file to Microsoft Word or other text editors, the formatting is always messed up in many places, like double or missing spaces between words or missing line breaks.
It would be much better if the formatting would be kept the same. This only happens when copying from a pdf, no other program/app does this on any other device.

  16. I was messing around with EssayBot because deadlines were stacking up, and I just wanted something to break the silence on a blank page. It does shoot out text fast, but my question is: can using something that quick and almost too easy actually hurt your ability to build your own voice in writing? I’m at UC Berkeley, and professors always talk about originality being more than grammar checks. Anyone here tried it long-term and noticed an effect, good or bad?

We the customers of Adobe hereby request the creation of a FULL Adobe Group Policy Template for Windows Domains (.admx/.adml) for all Adobe applications with all documented settings (please note your enterprise documentation does not have all settings documented, as some settings are on other pages in the new Adobe website documentation as well as some settings are under MAC even though they apply to Windows and Mac)

This Group Policy Template is not a customized list of settings that are preset but a list of all settings that can be set with the options and description of how to…

  18. Suggestion:

    Give text fields optional labels.

1.) Only small, medium, or large font size.

2.) Placement of left, right, above or below text field.

3.) Character limit of 25 (or something small).

The most common work-around option is using read-only text fields, however that gets messing when viewing the form in "prepare form" mode.
Keep it simple if necessary, but simpler label options for text fields are wanted.

  19. There are some best practices you should follow when moving contact data from a CSV file to a VCF (Virtual Contact File) format. This will make sure the process goes smoothly and the data is proper. Here are the steps and advice you should follow-

    Why Convert CSV to VCF?

People often store contact information in CSV files, which are just plain text files with rows and columns for each contact's information. VCF, on the other hand, is a more specialized file that is used in many contact management systems, such as email clients and smartphones. If you convert your…

  20. Up until very recently, I could "edit" a pdf to change an address, and the formatting would not change. Now, when I highlight the incorrect address and paste a new one in, it makes my text align right and messes up the whole document. Then I have to reformat. It's very annoying. Yes, I realize that pdfs in general aren't files to edit, but this is necessary because they're generated by our website, and sometimes mistakes need corrected. Regeneration is not an option.
