1. ADFS/SAML automation with federation certificates and identity provisioning

   The current authentication integration solutions for Adobe do not provide any automation around the Certificate management or the Account creation process. This is horribly limiting when considering the need of an environment to have a seamless system with limited downtime. Further the lack of auto account creation from the SAML service, is highly inefficient. It would be desired to have the capability to create users from the SAML integration and to have the SAML process setup to manage itself using federation XML URLs as an option.

2. Customer Service in Non-Existent

   The customer service is horrible. I spoke to someone with a heavy Indian accent yesterday, which I can only assume tech service is being outsourced there. i called regarding my installation issue and I couldn't understand her most of the time. She told me to deactivate the acrobat x pro on cpu #1 so that I can try and install it on cpu #2. now cpu #1 cannot be re-activated and is about to deactivate in 1 more day, and now I might not have acrobat x pro for my business, which I paid A LOT OF MONEY FOR, and I had it active for the last 11 years i had a business, but because the 2 cpu limit has now been reached due to deactivating cpu #1. I tried calling the number 1 (800) 833-6687, that I called yesterday, and now the prompts aren't being accepted from my cell phone, which is the same phone I used to call the person with the heavy Indian accent. the last thing she told me was the tech team would call my cell phone number i verified with her, and thats in my file 425-244-8366. i have registered the software. in my adobe account information, it lists the software I do have, but it doesn't list any activated devices in my account information. i need to speak with someone about this issue immediately so that I may continue to run my business, and i need to edit my pdf files. thank you

   Even the system for voting is screwed up! We are not all "computer geeks"! Your program sucks! I pay a small fortune for a program/service that is almost completely unusable. If I could find ANY way to replace it or work without it, I would be happy to pay and even bigger fortune for the satisfaction of putting you idiots out of business. As you can tell, I AM NOT HAPPY with this stupid, confusing, undependable, unreliable P.O.S. computer program. 4. Apple & Adobe, quit foisting your problems onto your custormers!!!!!

   Here's a unique idea. Software idiots at Apple start talking to the software idiots at Adobe! Work out your problems on the company level before forcing your bad programming on your customers in the form of buggy forced upgradates!!!!!! My computer used to work wonderfully, now it's just a ********** brick because of forced updates!!

6. When attempting edit PDF's, annoying messaging of "optimization" creates Jumbles. Should be a choice. IT messes up all other text

   Our team edit's pdfs for QAQC and whenever we save it jumbles and distorts the document. Really quick messages come up that we can't stop "optimization/fixing to web " etc.ANNOYING

7. Issue with PDF fonts converting incorrectly

   I work for a law firm and the last update has messed up a BUNCH of our medical records. We download them from a medical portal. The Arial font is being converted to Symbols... I have tried downloading them again but the end result is the same. Even old records are not affected and the paralegals cannot review the medical records. I need to report this as a bug. We looked at the different versions installed as the files work on some computers but any of us that have the newest update - the fonts are not converting correctly.

   Any help GREATLY APPRECIATED! I cannot go page by page to fix the fonts when some of these records are several thousand pages.

   I cannot figure out how to roll the udpate back. There used to be a way to do that but I cannot find that option either.....

8. U3D is the WORST 3d file format ever created, anywhere, in the universe - We Need Better Options

   Subject says everything that needs to be said.

   U3D is a finicky pile of junk. The big three (3d Studio Max, Maya, and Cinema 4d) do not support this idiotic format and will not directly export a U3D file.

   Converting from one of the many useful file formats to U3D is an exercise in frustration that your Acrobat Pro users shouldn't be exposed to.

   Please put this file format back into the hole it crawled out of and provide support for a real 3d format.

   I would personally suggest either FBX or even better, GLTF / GLB. Every single major 3d program exports in these formats and it allows the model to be exported with its textures.

   I am sick and tired of spending hours trying to get a perfect, beautiful model exported into U3D only to end up with a low-res model that may or may not have its textures while simultaneously being forced to try to explain to the client who wanted the model embedded in a PDF why it doesn't look like it did on the screen.

   U3D hasn't been updated in SEVENTEEN YEARS.

   Please. Please abandon this junk.

9. Usability of Accessibility Features and Tags

   The accessibility features, specifically regarding tagging documents, are unusable. My experience with Adobe is fairly limited and I have spent hours researching the process and attempting to add accessibility tags to documents with extremely limited success. I am often left feeling incredibly frustrated with a partially accessible document.

   The auto-tag feature is incredibly hit-or-miss. I can retag a document four or five times, each time receiving different results. Sometimes my entire document is tagged as an image, sometimes every single line is tagged as a paragraph, sometimes paragraphs are tagged tables when they are simply two columns of adequately spaced text. It's very frustrating because I've spent a lot of time going through documents and changing fonts and spacings and such to make them Adobe-friendly.

   When I finally get the document to a point where I only have to make a few edits, I open the Reading Order window and access the Show Order Panel. Both panels have been very glitchy. Sometimes they will freeze as soon as I open them, other times as soon as I make my first edit, and other times when I'm halfway through or even at the end of my edits. The tools for manually tagging have a mind of their own. They rarely work perfectly and usually make a bigger mess of my document. When I try to change the tag, from text to a figure for example, the tool will randomly select the entire document, do nothing at all, or merge with other tags around when I need the tags separate. After trying to delete tags/selected item structures (sometimes they don't even delete after I've selected the option off the menu), I am often left frustrated because parts of my document still are not adequately tagged.

   I have repeatedly encountered problems trying to select figures, particularly donut charts and QR codes, to tag in the document. When I manually attempt to select and tag them, the tool will select the entire document or fail to even recognize that there is something there. And when I go to add alternate text to figures, sometimes it doesn't even appear as an option on the menu when I right click over the tag number (without selecting it first). On my most recent document, I added alternate text, changed something on the document, and the alternate text was reattributed to another figure.

   Every time I finally get my document to a point where I think I'm done (and I've learned to save after literally every change because I cannot figure how to undo my most recent change and I expect the application to freeze at any moment), something inevitably goes wrong.

   Take today for example: I exported a PDF from another platform (I've learned from past mistakes and used compatible fonts and everything) and uploaded it to Acrobat. This is a one-page flyer with a large heading, some subheadings, a few paragraphs, a few lines of font, and some graphics--three donut charts and a QR code. After auto-tagging, manually tagging, re-auto-tagging and manually tagging the document for 15-20 minutes (because the add tag feature would not recognize various pieces of text and several of my charts), I decided to save and be done with the document, even though one donut cart was not tagged, the QR code was tagged inadequately, and several separate lines of text were grouped into a single block despite trying for nearly 5 minutes to tag them separately. I pressed save and suddenly, many of the tags in the document were magically duplicated and the original tags were reordered. Hoping the document had saved before the additional tags were recognized, I closed out of the program without saving. However, when I opened Acrobat again, the extra tags were still there. So I tried to manually delete them. But the tags will not delete no matter how many times I right click and press "delete selected structure". Take a look at the screen shot. Tags 1 and 13 are duplicated. Also, if you look at the tags in the Order panel, they're nonsensical (part of auto-tag). I'm not an expert in this process, so I'm unsure how this will impact screen readers when someone attempts to use the accessible features of this document. Will it read out tag 2 as "mental mental mental mental mental mental" instead of "Mental health statistics?" (which, unrelated but important: I do not know how to test the tagging/screen reading features of the document despite extensive research.)

   I'm frustrated. I have seven more documents to tag today and I'm ready to throw my computer across the room. I made this account specifically to share this feedback on this forum because after months of trying and reporting every time Adobe crashes when I try to tag a document (which was very frequent the first few times I used Acrobat, but hasn't happened recently), it's clear nothing has changed.

   This is a key feature for producing documents. Adding accessibility features to a one paged document with minimal text and graphics should take, at the very most, five minutes. In the past, I have spent over an hour on a single document and have not been fully satisfied with my results. The forums and informational guides from Adobe are not very helpful. I have the newest version of Adobe that my company allows and have updated before my most recent attempt to tag a document. Something needs to change.

10. Acrobat DC Fill & Sign fails on every document

    No sure if it was the lasted update (2022.003.20314) that killed it, but it had to be recent because I use it all the time. When I try using Fill & Send to add text, it fails every time with an unknown error. I happens on every document from any source, even after I try to reprint them with Acrobat as the printer or optimize the PDF. I can still sign them, but I cannot add text.

    Not sure if it is related, but the Arial font also seems to have been messed up around the same time. If I try to add text under Edit PDF, I can no longer use the Arial font. It appears on the list, but when I click on it, it changes to "Arial Narrow." Fonts on documents look strange, so I am guessing that it is switching to Arial Narrow to display existing PDFs as well.

    This is so frustrating.

13. Mouse is directly over X or O symbol for comment but comment is not opening up

    This should be rocket science people. TEST YOUR ****. Comments are not opening up WHEN I AM DIRECTLY ABOVE THE MARKER FOR COMMENT.

    Figure it out idiots. There should be NO exception to this. To the left of the marker is some highlighted text and I guess and image or control for selecting a multiple choice question. If mouse comes from the left the comment does not pop up. THAT SHOULD BE IRRELEVANT. Stupid. TEST YOUR **** IDIOTS!

    Adobe development personnel just don't use very often the program they create. These new moronic millennial programers have no idea what real world use people are engaged in using the applications they work on. A case in point is the continual prevention for users to install Reader and Acrobat on the same computer. Assume for a moment one is a forms developer who creates hundreds of forms as an employee of a large corporation or a designer serving many clients. EVERY SINGLE BLOODY FORM one creates in Acrobat MUST be tested in Adobe Reader BEFORE deploying the form. So what have you morons at Adobe forced us to do? We just recommend to forms designers that they use either FoxIt or Nitro PDF. Hence, you're forcing us to promote and market your competitor's products because you just don't understand the needs of your users.

15. Soft and hard hyphens in German text

    German, as we know, is a language with some very long words. Therefore it is very common that words will be automatically split across lines, using what we used to call a "soft" hyphen. When exporting a PDF in German to a Word document, this "soft" hyphen is not distinguished from a "hard" hyphen (i.e. one which is produced by a key-stroke (as in the hyphen used just then).
    I was asked yesterday to "Compare" a revised document in German (submitted as a pdf) with a former version in Word, and submit an estimate for updating the English translation. The straight conversion using Adobe Acrobat produced an almost continuous red line when "Compared". Because every "soft" hyphen had been transformed into a "hard" hyphen plus space and hence a change was flagged.
    I started a "Replace" running, and accepted/rejected for each hyphen and after half an hour realised that my estimating the job was likely to take as long as doing it. Frustrated, I gave up and had some dinner. Got up very early this morning (Tuesday) with this realisation:
    Most "-[space]" in German texts were originally soft hyphens.
    The main exceptions to this are "-[space]und", "-[space]oder" and "-[space]bzw."
    Once I had this in mind, I searched and replaced each of these exceptions with an unlikely key, deleted all "-[space] and then replaced the unlikely key with the original. It was almost 100% successful.
    I don't, of course, know how Acrobat works (I'm 65 and my entire experience with data processing has been tentative) - but I think it's an algorithm based on the appearance of the text and then a best match (rather than dealing with the ideas of "soft" or "hard" hyphens). But it seriously messes up the result.
    So, I offer my ideas for your further research. I think it will hugely improve the conversion of German in particular.
    If it works, you can thank me in the nicest way you can think of :).

17. Reopening last session tabs/files is dramatically slow.

    Reopening last session tabs/files is disaster. It takes so long when each tab is loading one by one. The tabs should only display and load only when you click them, like in any internet browser.
    The worst thing is when you want to open new file. You have to wait until all the previous ones from the last session are loaded!

18. Adobe signs me out every day and I have to re-enter my information

    I don't understand why I have to sign in every time I want to view a document or why it will not keep me signed in. It is horribly inconvenient to have to sign in every day, just to view pdfs.

19. find function is not working, or it only finds words on the first page of the documents.

    "find" function is not working, or it only finds words on the first page of the documents. I didn't change a thing how I use the ADobe, but something is messed up with the update, maybe?

20. Unable to Change Document Title and Other Information Under Document Properties Tab

    Hi There,

    I am not sure if I am posting this under the correct category as there does not seem to be one that matches my issue / suggestion.

    I work for a Staffing and Recruiting company as a recruiter. As such, I look at many resumes that people send to me via email. Most of them are in .PDF format. Because I call people and leave messages for them to call me back, I often have multiple resumes open at once in case they call me back to discuss a job opportunity. I have them open to save time when they call and so I can quickly have access to a person's information. However, when "John" or someone calls and I have multiple resumes open, on each tab, in the title bar, it just says "Resume" or whatever even though I have taken the time to carefully save the resume as "John Doe - Resume - Occupation - Location - Current Date" so that I can easily find it both in Windows Explorer and when I have it open in Adobe Reader. Hence, even though I have used Windows File Explorer to carefully change the title of the .PDF resume file to what I want it to be, when I am looking at the resume in Adobe, I am unable to see the actual NAME of the file that I have given it. I just see multiple documents with the name "Resume" so I am unable to determine which resume I want to view without cycling through them until I find the one I want to view. When I open up the Document Properties, the Title of the document is greyed out and I am unable to change the title to match the Windows File Explorer name I have given to the document. Hence, I have to go through all of the documents one by one to determine which one is the correct document I actually want to view. This is very time consuming, frustrating and makes me look like an idiot because I cannot quickly find and open the person's resume while I have them on the phone.

    I have searched on the internet and from reading posts both on your web site and elsewhere, there does not seem to be any easy way to change the document title to the one I want to use. This situation exists both while I have the document open and am viewing it and even after I change the title of the document with Windows File Explorer when I have closed the document, changed the name, and have re-opened it. In other applications, I can choose to save an identical copy of the document under a different name and open it and it will show up in that application with the name that I want to use.

    It would be greatly appreciated if Adobe Reader DC would give one the option to save a copy of the original document under a different name in Windows Explorer such that that "Title" under the Document Properties could also be changed to match the physical name of the document in Windows Explorer.
