  1. Currently, even though an MS Word document may have a Title property, when the PDF is created the Acrobat default initial view is to the document file name rather than the PDF's title properties. Since this doesn't pass the accessibility check it requires that the setting be changed on each PDF. I would like to see it either default to the Title property, or provide the option in the PDF Maker plug-in for MS Word.

    Hi

This feature has now been enabled in Acrobat Pro DC with the October update but it is by default turned Off.
In order to enable it, you would need to create a Reg_Dword “4255031” and set it to 1 at the following location:

    \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureState

Please note: This will work for only PDFs from Word/Excel which have been created using Acrobat post setting this registry and won’t work for older PDFs.

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  2. Twice today I have Shared a document with someone, clicked the track button, and the document DOES NOT appear in the list of files called "Shared for Viewing." Does my recipient have the doc or not? If I don't get these documents in on time I am out of business.

  3. DUPLICATE SUBMISSION WITH ATTACHMENT EXAMPLES
The Acrobat Reader DC basic version has a very helpful "Save as" function where it brings up a user friendly window with 4-5 recently used folders, as well as the option to then browse further for another folder if needed. the Adobe Acrobat DC PRO version has a very different, very limited "save as" usability, where it defaults to a temp internet folder (that i cannot even find), which i will almost certainly never use as well. As far as i can tell there is no way to set a different default save as…

    Hi,

If you wish to see the Save As dialog in Acrobat as per the “Save as ok” image shared by you, Kindly do as follows.
    1) Open Acrobat → Edit → Preferences → General
    2) Select the Checkbox “Show online storage when Saving files”

Try to Save as any pdf and check that you’ll see this dialog.
Let me know if that solves your concern.

Also please let me know the current version of Acrobat DC that you are using.

  5. Can you please add the ability to let the user set a different 'default' font type, size, colour when creating forms? It adds significantly to the time used creating forms to have to change the font for every single text/field added.

  7. Comment rplies are hidden by default and can not be changed. So when you hover over it or double click the comment. You do not see the reply. And so can get missed.

All replies should be not be hidden be default.

  8. In the Preferences, under "Page Display", under "Default Layout and Zoom", under "zoom", your option of "Fit Page" doesn't work. This "Fit page" option is synonymous with the "Fit Height" option that is available through the Acrobat interface. This default option should open all PDF files as one-page per screen. This option used to work in the previous version of Acrobat, but the new version has a bug.
Please fix the BUG. The Fit Page default option doesn't work.

  11. Default column width when browsing directory files are too narrow. Width must be adjusted wider every time I pull up the file directory. A wider default should be able to be set under Preferences.

  12. When changing an existing text box font color from the default color to a different color, the next time I open and use a text box, the font color is whatever color I last used.

This is a nuisance, make it stop, if I set up a 'set as default' the font color for any 'new' text should stay that color, no matter if I change the font color later or not.

The font color has different meanings (Actionable inputs) associated with the colors, when the action has been accomplished, I change the font color, this doesn't mean I…

  13. When changing the size of a generic 'dynamic' stamp and then right click and choose 'Make current properties default', the size of the stamp keeps reverting to the original size. It seems puzzling because the opacity % works when changing the default setting. This seems to be a known issue according to the agent who assisted me.

  14. When combining multiple PDF files into a single document with bookmarks, I want to be able to set the default bookmark properties. For example, I may want all bookmarks to include the ACTION: Go to a page view, and ZOOM LEVEL: Fit Page. Currently, I have to change the properties of each bookmark separately.

    Hi,

We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (20.012.20041) is Live now and this takes care of this Feature Request

For more Info refer here : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html

The Set Default Bookmark Zoom Level menu item is now added to the PDF bookmark options. While creating a new bookmark, you can easily use this option to set the default zoom level. By default, the Inherit Zoom option is selected.

Also, Acrobat now provides an option in the bookmark properties to retain the destination page number when you adjust the zoom level of multiple bookmarks.

Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  16. When you create a form field with Date validation, the default error message in Spanish has a typo. For example, if I set the custom date format to be "dd/mm/yyyy", there is a space missing. See attachment.

    Bug: "El formato debe coincidirdd/mm/yyyy"
What it should read: "El formato debe coincidir dd/mm/yyyy" (notice the space after "coincidir")

This happens on Acrobat for MacOS, only in Spanish.

With the release of Acrobat on 2nd Oct, 2018, this issue has been addressed.

If your product is not already updated, you can manually do so from within the product. Click on the menu Help→ Check for updates.

  17. I am signed in to Creative Cloud. When I open Acrobat DC I have to sign in to my account there as well. Then I attempt to send and track and I get prompted to sign in AGAIN. It confirms I am signed in and then I try send and track again and it asks me to sign in AGAIN. I have a fully paid subscription to multiple apps. The software just makes me sign in over and over and over again.

  18. It would be nice to have the option to "default" the deletion of the pages I'm extracting instead of clicking this option every single time. :(

Whenever I extract a page or pages from what I scanned in bulk, I don't need to keep the bulk pdf, so I delete the pages as I go to finish saving them as pdfs individually.

  19. In some rare scenario one might want page scrolling to jump to next page like it does by default, but it is an annoyance in the most common context of reading a text document. While there is a way to change this setting, general people cannot be expected to understand that this is done by changing "Page Layout" to "Single Page Continuous" under "Page Display" from "Preferences" under "Edit" menu. Please beef up your UX team!

    Hi,

You can always set the continous scolling as your default view.
Here s how you can do this :
    1) Open preferences dialog (Ctrl+K) and go to Page Display tab
    2) under “Default Layout and Zoom” select the Page layout as Single page Continous and saveit

Let me know if this helps ?

    Thanks
    Ayush

  20. I have my Default Page Layout Settings to Single Page Continuous, Fit Page, but documents ALWAYS open to Two Up Page Layout. It should open to the Default Page Layout as specified.

I also have "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" under Documents Category turned ON, does not make a difference.

    Thank you.
