  2. Acrobat DC Pro hides the 'digital signature' field unless you follow a very convoluted series of steps to find it. Recommend ALWAYS having the digital signature option available. Also, recommend disambiguating between 'signature' 'initial' and 'digital signature' fields. Conceptually very similar. Functionally very different.

    To use Digital Signature on Acrobat/Reader, if you have a signature field present on the pdf, you still can click on the document field and it would initiate the digital signature workflow. This functionality is still present in Acrobat DC. If you want to draw a signature on the pdf outside a signature box, please go to Tools—Certificates—Digitally Sign. That would enable you to draw a box on the pdf for the signature.

    Hi victorm28962446,

    When you delete any file from portfolio, the portfolio index or File list in portfolio get updated automatically, you just need to save the changes made by you.

  4. So i click on "remove restrictions on this document" and then it asks for a password. Me no HAVE a password, WHAT password? wtf are you talking about? WHERE do i find this golden password that i've never created? wtf am I paying for this for

    1. You should be able to "pin" tool bars of your choosing and have them automatically be in your workspace when you open a pdf.

    This use to work and now does not. It is extremely frustrating.

    1. There are way too many clicks involved to open up the navigation pane. I should not have to memorize shortcuts to do such a simple task.

  5. We still desperately need to be able to show the navigation bar by default. I understand that certain features of it may not be available due to settings in the PDF. I use this program to view 99% of the time and it's a real hassle clicking around every time, to show the thumbnails.

    Every rudimentary viewer allows thumbnails to be shown by default and I believe previous versions of Acrobat did as well.

    Please allow this navigation pane and the selected tab to be sticky.

  8. After installing a printer while Adobe Acrobat and/or Reader is already open and has a PDF open, attempting to print to it prints to a different printer, even though the new printer appears in the list. Acrobat/Reader must be closed and reopened in order to print to the new printer.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Open Acrobat or Reader.
    2) Open a PDF
    3) Install a new printer
    4) Attempt to print the PDF to the newly installed printer (it appears in the list of printers)
    5) The PDF prints to a different printer.

    Environment: Windows 7 64-bit. Acrobat version 11…

  10. We often receive multi-page PDFs of publications initially created in InDesign with a request for updates. In order to make these updates flexibly, we would have to recreate the document indesign and then make the updates.

    I seams reasonable to ask Adobe, to create a functionality, where one can convert or export PDF (generated from InDesign document) to .indd InDesign file format.

  11. For enterprise use, it has too many breadcrumbs to learn more and free downloads. For business use and confidentiality, these links need to be easily removed or hidden from view with the customization tool.

    Thanks for bringing this issue to our notice. Your valuable feedback helps us improving our product. We discussed about this particular issue and we do not have any plans to work on it in immediate future. However, we’ll have it in our radar and might revisit at an appropriate time in future.

  12. It seems ironic that Acrobat Pro DC allows for the creation of custom toolbars, which it states can be shared with other users, when in fact there is no means currently available to share any such user enhancement. It also seems unusual that any user created toolbar is not saved to a file which the user can access so as to allow that toolbar to be instantly recreated by him/her on another machine to which s/he has access. The current 32-bit version of Acrobat Pro DC becomes corrupt within a few weeks of normal use on a 64-bit machine, which thereafter makes it increasingly frustrating to use (with difficulties saving files to new names or locations, among many other issues). I am tired of having to reinstall your software every few weeks, only to see it degenerate to the point of unusability again. I wish you would release a 64-bit version that was designed for dedicated use on a 64-bit machine.

  14. I've created an Acrobat Pro for Named installer (Via Admin Console) for the MacOS 10.12.5. Downloaded and ran the installer. The OS terminated the installer because it was an "Unidentified Developer".

    I was able to install it after going to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and check OK to install.

    The reason I state this issue is most end users will not know what to do. So this needs to be corrected (maybe Apple.com).

  15. Provide a check off that functions to prevent the OCR from mixing numbers and symbols in words.
    For example: Custodian should not be read Cu&t0d1an - only letters should be recognized in words.

  16. Can you provide a "plain English" description on how to create a "batch processing" type Action that can be use on multiple files at once? I have hundreds of files that I need to set open options on and add specific bookmarks to. Trying to do this one at a time is NOT happening. Urgent please!

  17. Bug.
    Customer supplied files from InDesign cs6 with .tiff picture over a solid spot colour.
    When converting the file to CYMK via acrobat pro, the tiff picture corrupts leaving a white space instead of the correct image.
    PDF fix up fail to spot or fix issue. Could only be solved by editing original InDesign files, changing spot to CYMK and informing customer.

  19. I have fully paid Acrobat Pro DC for Windows PC. Inspite of this Adobe treats me as illegal user, makes me download AAM (around 86 MB). Then tells me that my copy of Acrobat is valid for 00 days. Mkaes me re-register the copy everyday. They have most incompetent customer care, which make you go in loop for hours without any solutions.

    Do you get any sadistic pleasure in making your customers keep downloading acrobat everyday?

    Are there any human beings I can talk to? or all only looped computers?
