Default hide navigation pane
If I can't figure out a way to stop getting a massive bookmarks pane EVERY SINGLE TIME I open any file I am going to set my computer on fire.
The Wizard won't do it. Edit > Preferences > Restore last view setting when reopening documents won't do it. I can't mess with the system registry on a work computer so that won't do it. Do not tell me to tick the restore last view setting box.
Look at this bookmarks pane. Look at it.

Not all the text for a bookmark is displaying
I have set bookmarks for custom styles in my Preferences. However, when I create the PDF, not all the text is displayed, particularly the numbering in some of my headings. Some of the numbering is displayed, while others are not. I checked the Word document and the correct styles are applied to all the text.
1 voteUnfortunately, we cannot take your bug request at this moment given other high priority issues.
Can you please explain why these numbering were so important (in the event we want to fix this in future) ?Thanks

scroll is abysmal
the scrolling on adobe acrobat for windows users is ridiculously frustrating. It goeas from 0 to 100 when using the mousepad. As soon as the bottom of the page is reached even by a pixel, it jumps to the next page. Adobe, realize that you control the way people read in the 21st century. Your adamance on having PDFs be the sole, and universal format entails a huge responsibility on making consuming digital prose EASY. Especially when people are struggling financially and youre charging 23 USD a month!!! Back in the day, people could print and collage or rearrange physical…

Ability to undock the comments list
Ability to undock the comments list and view it horizontally.
There are cases where the comments can be really long, and a vertically orientated list makes it really difficult to read, not to mention the comment may even take up the entire comments pane. Sharing the same screen space between bookmarks, the actual content, and the comments list makes everything less readable. Users should have the option to undock the list and view it anyway they like.

Splitting PDF to multiple files based on list of named page ranges
PDF DC needs a way to split a document into multiple files with varying page ranges by name. Under the split feature, there could be a table to fill in (or paste into) a list with "new file names" and the page range for that new file. This way you could extract multiple sections of a PDF at once. If this is not possible, an action script or plugin, as part of DC purchase, to import lists to create bookmarks, rather than manually creating them. This way one could split a file by bookmarks (already a feature) quickly by…

Always Show Scroll Bar Setting not Persistent - macOS
When the system setting on macOS for "Show scroll bars" is set to "Always", Adobe Acrobat does not honor this setting.
If you toggle the setting in macOS system settings to another option and then back to "Always", the scroll bar shows up.
If you close the PDF or Acrobat, or open a different PDF, the scroll bar disappears.
The scrollbar should always be present on all PDF's when this setting is checked in the macOS System Settings, OR an option should be available in the Adobe Acrobat preferences with similar functionality.

Allow bookmark to be permanently visible on the page itself (Stamp?)
Bookmark visible as a stamp on page itself so that the user can see what the document title is without having to open the bookmarks pane. This should be a toggle on/off capability and be moveable on the page (select which section of the page it appears in default). Might also be helpful if the stamp defaults could be edited for font, size, etc

SLOW ACROBAT
the new Acrobat is so slow - there is a 4-5 second delay when typing before it shows the text - scrolling is also slow. I get a beachball every time I add a letter
the older version was superior

Boomark/Page Thumbanails
Can we make it possible to be able to view bookmarks and page thumbnails simultaneously? My department is now using Adobe to aid switching to electronic filing. This would be a huge time saver!

Out of Memory Error/Draw Error
I am running Adobe Acrobat DC on a Windows 7 machine with 16GB of RAM and an NVidia NVS 310 Graphics Card. I have no issues regarding visual display or memory with other software. When running Adobe Acrobat DC, I frequently encounter issues where the file/program crashes, giving an error that it is Out of Memory or encountering a Draw Error. This has happened while reading multiple different PDF files, usually after I have been scrolling through the file for a short time. Usually, when this message occurs the page displays as a blank white page, and if I continue …

Scroll bars missing on Acrobat DC September 2023 (masOS)
It is extremely frustrating that the scroll bars are missing on the September 2023 release of Acrobat DC - they re-appear on a mouse click, but do not respond to Wacom pen. So to scroll through a PDF, the pen has to be put aside. This is slowing down my work considerably, and there has been a lot of frustration expressed in the Adobe Support Community, especially among Wacom users. This is not a behaviour that we can be expected to "get used to" or "love", as it has not been designed with the user in mind.

AI helper
Disabling the AI assistant is actually what you should do. Even though I've disabled the AI assistant in the settings, I continue to receive pop-ups asking me to summarize the documents I'm trying to read. In addition to blocking the content I'm trying to read, these pop-ups make the basic program less usable, such as when it comes to scrolling, Chill Guy Clicker. Additionally, when the assistant is disabled, the small chat bar at the bottom shouldn't be there. For heaven's sake, please make this right. AI is not necessary for everything. I'll use Chat GPT if I…

Set Default Link Actions (zoom especially)
I make ADA Accessible documents. Inherit Zoom is a necessary thing.
When I need to combine multiple pdf files into one document I often create a narrative that includes links to other pages of that document. I back up those links with bookmarks.
While it's quite easy to change all of the bookmark actions at once to Inherit Zoom, it's not so easy to change the links.
Currently each link action must be edited individually. And each Zoom is set to custom. There is considerable time taken to adjust each one, especially when I have 50 to 200 links…
6 votesHi,
We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (20.012.20041) is Live now and this takes care of this Feature Request
For more Info refer here : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html
The Set Default Bookmark Zoom Level menu item is now added to the PDF bookmark options. While creating a new bookmark, you can easily use this option to set the default zoom level. By default, the Inherit Zoom option is selected.
Also, Acrobat now provides an option in the bookmark properties to retain the destination page number when you adjust the zoom level of multiple bookmarks.
Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.
Thanks
