  1. I would like to report a significant issue that has arisen with the latest update, particularly affecting the display and functionality of PDF Portfolios. Formerly, these portfolios showcased thumbnails that provided a visual preview of the contents, enhancing navigation and user experience. However, these thumbnails are now missing, replaced by a mere list format that significantly diminishes the portfolio's usability and aesthetic appeal.

  2. I’ve been exploring ways to make PDFs more engaging—especially when designing worksheets, digital planners, or creative handouts. Acrobat does a great job with layout and editing, but adding custom visuals can really elevate the look.

  4. The icon / link on the TOols page which lead to the Merge Data into Spreadsheet dialogue has suddenly disappeared from my cop of Acobat Pro 2017. How can I get it back? I can access the function by loading a form and then using the 'Edit' command, but two weeks agao there was a tool icon available.

    You can use the following steps to
    > Right Click on the Tools bar and select "Customize Quick Tools.
    >Navigate to “Prepare Form” > More Form Options
    > Click on the “Add to toolbar” button.
    > Click Save.

    You should now have the “Merge Data into Spreadsheet” as a drop down options now.

  5. When I have a heading that can be duplicated but a list of names that are different I run into an issue. The names I populate on the first page will automatically appear on the second page. Then when I change the names on the second page it will change the names on the first.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reporting the issue. I tried and observed that the issue is happening when you perform a Save As operation and not on a direct Save operation. Also the issue seems specific to this file.

    You can try this workaround if it helps. In the meanwhile we are looking into this issue and will inform you once we have new updates.

  6. Provide option to add "Sign Document by typing or drawing signature" icon to the Quick Tools bar as well as others as needed. It is not productive when one has to navigate from Document to Tools, then select Fill and Sign, then select the "Sign Document by typing or drawing signature" icon. When one has to do this on multiple documents, it is rather frustrating to keep switching back/forth. Thanks.

  8. New Acrobat Pro DC version no longer allows dragging the pdf icon from the top bar in directly into email.

    Instead one must hit "share", WAIT..., then click "Send as attachment" then click "continue" to let it use the native email, then WAIT, then drag the pdf from that newly created email into the intended email.

  10. The old version of Adobe was easy, you right click and put an icon for the program on the computer desktop. With this version there does not seem to be a way to do this. I have to go to the start program and hunt for Adobe in my list of apps.

BUG - When using the Add Text Comment icon within the left menu bar, copying and pasting normal English text characters from a previously saved .pdf file creates illegible Cyrillic characters in new .pdf paste destination??!! Previous version of Adobe Acrobat has "PASTE PLAIN TEXT" feature (as all the logical Microsoft Office suite products have). Copying & pasting basic file and accounting information on monthly invoices from the last month to the next month. Please have qualified software developer/engineer reincorporate "PASTE PLAIN TEXT".

  12. When I have a PDF open in Adobe and then try and press the "Print" icon Adobe crashes and I'm unable to print. I have tried deleting and re-installing Adobe multiple times and I have checked to make sure that my computer is up to date on all software updates.

  16. There is no point to adjusting "Automatically save document changes to temporary file every _ minutes." I have it set to 1 minute, but when Acrobat crashed, it recovered the document I started with over an hour ago-no saves since I started. This happens regularly, regardless if I save local or to Adobe cloud storage.
    If I have to duplicate the time spent compiling my study notes, I might as well go back to physical printouts that save in real time, and scan to make searchable if needed.

  17. Can we not have a working icon to be able to save a file? And that pop-up window which shows recently used file saved locations can be awfully slow - can take 20+ seconds to display anything on occasions, but usually at least 10 seconds. Dreadfully slow process. On occasions it may even not function at all, stalled spinning wheel or no spinning wheel at all,

    Acrobat DC is just sooo terribly terribly slow compared to the old installed versions of reader that used to exist... I still use Reader 4 on an 25 year old machine and it works…

    - create the comment-icon in the center of the click
    ... not below the top-left corner of the comment-icon
    ... I think this is much more intuitive for organising your lay-out of comments.

  19. I hate it when you do updates and move or change the set up of toolbars etc. Please give us a choice to keep the old format or change to the new. I hate that the toolbar is no longer at the top. Icons are too small for older people to see. Bad, Bad, Bad. Disappointed in the "updates".

    Although I am given an opportunity to revert to the old version, it does not happen when I close the app and restart without administrator access, which ads another layer with the IT department.

  20. In Acrobat Pro, reducing the size of the bookmark text also reduced the bookmark height, so more bookmarks were visible at any one time. In Acrobat Pro DC, the bookmark height is fixed at a height that accommodates large text, so reducing the text size doesn't increase the number of visible bookmarks. For example, where I could previously see 57 bookmarks in Acrobat Pro (with small text), I can now only see 40 bookmarks in Acrobat Pro DC.
