  1. I open and fill out a PDF on my desktop with Adobe DC. When I select Send and Track or to Send for signature, I get an error message

Send and Track: "Error uploading files
One or more files could not be uploaded. Please try again."

Send for Signature: "Could not Send
An error has occurred. Please try again."

I can go to "https://cloud.acrobat.com/send" and upload the file there, then send and track, but not from Adobe DC. I am using Windows 10 and Chrome Browser if it makes a difference.

We are closing the issue due to no further communication from the user end. Please feel free to report any issues you find.

  2. Is there a way to disable the bookmarks pane from opening by default on Mac? I've seen people edit the registry on Windows computers to achieve this but haven't been able to find a similar solution for Mac.

  3. Ai feature removal requests aside, the f4 key is muscle memory for me to get to the Pages sidebar. Having to use the extra click to get out of the AI assistant panel and to the Pages panel that I want, is frustrating. And cumulatively, a time-suck. Feels like user-hostile UI practices.

As a side note, like many, I do not use the AI features in Acrobat. Please serve customers and not stockholders.

  4. The default layout of the comment tools menu has changed significantly in the new version of Adobe Acrobat DC and finding how to add functions like strikethrough and replace to the banner menu is not easy. This is frustrating for editors and typesetters who have to explain to authors how to proofread their galley proofs. Previously, I simply had to explain how to use Acrobat's comments function. Now, I'll have to explain to them how to find the menu to change the tools that appear on the banner, which is hard enough to figure out because it's just a bunch…

  5. Third time this week. Working on an existing PDF with commenting tools, and when I go to save, I get the message that the file cannot be saved. Try to save as, as suggested, and get the message that there's a file error, then the text of the file disappears. (Spread in screenshot is two solid pages of text.)

  6. I currently have to edit the appearance of every field (except the Signature) to change the default font from Auto to 10pt. Most of my forms require 12 input fields for multiple signatures and this is time consuming and tedious. Please add a feature for users to set program default preferences for the appearance of fields that are added to a Fill & Sign document.

  7. This issue of InDesign and Acrobat incompatibility in regards to Acrobat displaying all spans even when the Reading Order is correct has been around for over two years. We deserve to know what Adobe is doing about it.

Acrobat Team acknowledges the problem and blames InDesign:

"It's actually not an Acrobat issue, it's an issue with InDesign and how it's generating the Content that Acrobat is displaying correctly"

InDesign Team acknowledges the problem and blames Acrobat:

  9. when adding another file it goes to the end . In older versions of Acrobat Pro you could sort & re-arrange Portfolio files
tried that workaround where you create a new column in view /portfolio details & edit the values to get the files in the proper order sequence .. bit that is a bit of a kludge & really doesn`t affect the printing order of individual Portfolio files or default view when opening

  10. We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017. Our management uses Fill & Sign feature frequently for signing various documents. The default color of signature is black and Acrobat Pro 2017 does not allow to change the color of drawn signature. We would request to please introduce this feature in Acrobat Pro 2017 as is available in Adobe Acrobat DC,

    Hi,

Thanks for providing your feedback. We have shared this with the engineering team and will let you know in case of any updates.

  11. In 2020, Adobe claimed to have provided a fix. But did only half of it. Only for files with existing comments was the Comments toolbar automatically opened.
But I mark students' scripts all day long. And for every one I have to open the comments toolbar.
Why cannot I choose to have the comments toolbar automatically opened (or not, or if there are existing comments)?
Or do you get a cut from RSI physiotherapists?

  14. First, in order to start the OCR process in Acrobat DC (Windows), you must have a PDF file open. If you want to OCR multiple files, whether they're open or must be added from a folder, you must choose the Add Files option at the top of the window. That's when you get the "menu" options "Add files", "Add folders" and "Add open folders," which is all fine. But the initial file has already been selected and has populated the window, so if you "Add Open Files", for instance, you always get the annoying pop-up error that the first file…

  16. Every pdf document I send to my MFD (Canon) does not automatically print. It sends a message to pick paper size because it's a custom size. However, it is NEVER a custom size, it's always 8-1/2 x 11. All the settings in my document say to print to 8-1/2 x 11, I've tried shrink and fit and still, I keep getting the message at the printer and have to choose 8-1/2 x 11. Really annoying.

  18. For a long time now I have noticed a peculiar bug that only sometimes rears its head. By now I'm pretty sure it is a bug and not something I'm doing wrong, as I've had this same issue appear in multiple AcroForms that I have made, all with different content.

What happens is illustrated well with the screen recording I made, see the attached file.

    How to reproduce:

    • This is with an AcroForm drop-down field that has about 200 entries.
    • This drop-down field has the options "Allow user to enter custom text" and "Commit selected value immediately" selected.…

  19. In a multi-monitor setup, Reader remembers which monitor to open on for a specific document, but all new documents keep opening on a non-primary monitor. Reader needs to provide a preference for which monitor to open all documents on by default

  20. Please add a function to set the page size when creating a PDF form. By default, when you create a form, a Letter-sized page opens, and I need A4. Scaling during printing does not suit me, since the form fields are located in certain coordinates and slide during printing. It is strange that such a function was not done initially.
