  1. OCR feature currently does not work for full-colour backgrounds with white text. Adobe remote tech support confirmed this does not work. Is this able to be fixed? Recognize white text on colour background. Thank you

  2. For some reason, when attempting to customize the Quick Tools bar, (only) the Flatten Comments and Fields action is greyed out. This is a new behavior.

  3. Now we have to change the tools to 'Prepare a form', when copying a fillable fields from an older form to the new form. This has meant turning off the auto function for the fillable fields!
Turning off the auto fillable fields function was OK. But now I have do an extra step to copy to a blank fillable PDF.
Would prefer to be able to copy and paste, and then progress with making rest of the PDF fillable.

  4. "W" keyboard shortcut should work to insert text. I used this every day in Acrobat 11 and was dumbfounded when I "upgraded" to DC and it was gone. Acrobat is much less useful to me (and anyone else who annotates documents for a living) without Ctrl+W, and there's no workaround in DC. There's no way I can be the only one with this problem.

  5. I came from Acrobat DC, in DC, there's option "Copy selected text into Highlight, Strikethrough, and Underline comment pop-ups" in Commenting preferences. It really speeds up my commenting, because I need to search the highted text, especially in a long document, such as book. So, please add it back. Thanks!

  6. Adobe Sign advanced mode:

What I'd like to be able to do:
Drag a field into place so that the left side of the field is aligned with the underlying document, EVEN if the right side of the field is hanging off the edge. I would then resize the field so that the whole field is on the page.

    What it does now:
If any part of the field you are dragging into place is not on the pdf page, Acrobat Pro DC will not let you 'drop' it there.

    The problem:
It turns what should be two steps into…

  7. when we prepare our contract's fillable form to have it ready for E-sign, we assign the signature fields to "signer" for client and "signer 1" for us. howver when we are ready to "click to send for signature" the signture field assigned to "signer 1" which is us, it is actuallt assigned to "signer' the client. We have to manually change it every time before we send out. the issue is that we have seperate field for date and time to be filled seprately by each signer. We know Adibe provided date and time stamps automtically but our state…

  8. Or rather, it populates the checkboxes correctly as far as the PDF side goes: it sets the /V and /AS of the checkbox objects in /Fields correctly, but it doesn't set the XFA side accordingly, whereas it does for text fields. In the Acrobat window the checkboxes show as correctly marked until I close the file. When I reopen the file with Acrobat or Reader, it gets its display information from the XFA, not from the /Fields (and that may be the real bug here), and so doesn't show the checkboxes as marked.

  10. Currently you have to scroll the tools panel to see long form field names. It would be more user friendly to be able to see the whole name.

  11. Dear Adobe Support,

I hope this email finds you well. I'm a freelancer who relies heavily on Adobe Acrobat for fillable PDF forms. However, the image field feature doesn't work properly on the mobile app, causing inconvenience for both me and my clients. While I've suggested alternatives like Foxit PDF Editor, my clients prefer Adobe's familiarity. Could you please prioritize resolving this issue? Your prompt attention would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Muhammad Shahab

  12. We want real smooth scrolling (not just continuous scrolling).

I mean that kind of scroll we get when using a web browser. SMOOTH scrolling! It would also look like dragging text with a "hand tool" in Reader but with a mouse wheel.

Current method makes text jump one or three lines at a time (depending on your mouse settings), which pretty much irritating!

    I appreciate your attention.

  15. I am a theatre artist, an actor. I am sometimes sent imperfect scans of scripts for readings. I would like to deskew lines of text, in order to highlight them as seen in the attached screenshot. I am aware that OCR will deskew "pages" specifically, so they line up well. But in my work, I will occasionally be sent pages that aren't scanned as well as I'd hope. I cannot offend people by asking that they rescan the material, so I have to make the corrections on my end. It is difficult to highlight many lines in a large…

  16. When highlighting pdf documents the highlighted section will sometime flash to that from another page while i am highlighting. this is very frustrating as cannot see what I am actually highlighting. once i finish, the original text reappears. this has happened on multiple documents on and off. Never happened on the prior version

  17. I need to create French versions of forms where there is an option to format numbers as 44 534,41 $ rather than $44,534.41

When adding a date field to a form, I also need a French date picker, so the French users see the calendar in French.

  19. I am in the middle of doing project during the Chinese New Year holiday. After upgrading the software, it got me into this trouble. The "Add Text" by copy and paste from other source like spreadsheet doesn't work anymore as I used to be doing. After paste, it becomes an image instead of text. See attached screenshot for reference. Can you fix it as soon as possible? I really need this that's why I continue paying for the subscription. Your quick response will be highly appreciated.

  20. I created a date field, called VersionDate, as a Custom Document Property in Word. The field is displayed in the document footer. When I converted the document to PDF, the date changes from July 25, 2017 to July 24, 2017. I tried converting from Word plugin, Acrobat DC, and the Adobe PDF Services website, and each one sets the date back one day, but the Microsoft plugin also changes the format (from July 25, 2017 to 7/24/2017 (especially annoying since Australia does not use the U.S. date format).

    Hi Gabreille,

If you open your Word document and go to Print Preview mode (Word→Print, select any printer and check the preview), you can see that the date changes to one day back. Adobe Acrobat has not come into picture till this point. It is the custom date field that is behaving incorrectly in Word.

    Thanks,
