  2. When one crops a document, the "Apply to:" dialog preference selects between "Even and Odd Pages", "Odd Pages Only", and "Even Pages Only". This preference is sticky, based on the last document that was cropped. In practice, documents are uncorrelated.

To minimize user errors, Acrobat should default to a single choice users expect, "Even and Odd Pages". Or inspect the document, or at least notice whether one is on an even or odd page.

  3. When "Enable scrolling" is off, as it is by default, mouse scroll can scroll 10 pages or more in an instant, if the vertical page size is a little larger than the screen. It is unusable for me, so I need to change the setting every time I open a document, since the setting does not persist.

Why not make it so the setting will persist, so I don't need to change it every time I open a document?

  4. After the new layout in Adobe Sign, the date format required has become too strict, only accepting dates in the format "14-Jun-2024." This can confuse new (and existing) users since there's no guidance on the expected format—just an error message indicating the format is wrong without further details. I'm experiencing this issue on Adobe Sign through a web browser.

I use Adobe Sign with clients, so it is a recurring issue that I need to explain often.

I suggest adding clear instructions or allowing more flexible formats. For example, if 14.06.2024 is used, then it will either be used or…

  6. SO, I know that Acrobat is built on 25+year old code, but it's time to look at the biggest issue I have - that Acrobat is hopeless for batch operations because they are a clunky hack on top of an application that was never designed to work that way.

Now I'm doing OCR on 36 files. It's running in the background, but I have plenty of CPU time free. Can I get on with editing some other PDF while this is running? NO, because Acrobat is busy. I have to use a different computer. If you have acrobat Pro as…

  7. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC should give a warning message that multiple tabs are being closed. This helps just in case the user has inadvertently entered a keyboard command (like Command-Q in macOS) instead of pressing Command-tab to switch to another open application.

  8. Currently, if I send a fillable form to someone, they can't change the font they enter into the fillable fields. It would be great if they could change the font to suit them rather than have to keep the font that I've assigned. OR if I could assign a font and have it appear on the PDF at their end rather than converting to a default font if they don't have that particular font on their computer.

Please select “Allow Rich Text Formatting” for the text field in the “Options” tab of the Properties dialog box.

Formatting options are available on “Right Click”
And font can be changed using the “text toolbar”, using the shortcut key CTRL+E or CMD+E.

    I hope this help

  9. In Acrobat 9, it was very easy to mark a comment as checked. You simply right-clicked on it and chose "Mark with Checkmark." Alternatively, there were also two different places in the Handy Commenting Toolbar to mark the comment as checked.

Sadly, in Acrobat X and going forward, the right-click > Mark as Checked feature was removed, as was the handy Commenting toolbar. So now the only way to mark something as checked is in the giant comment list (which is now by default vertical, as opposed to horizontal.

Instead, Acrobat has moved the only option for commenting over to…

  11. When trying to print "page 1," something in this document coding was awry. It would print the very first page, but not the second one which was labeled p 1. The printing function seemed to go by the pages marked on the page. If I put page 2, it selects what is essential page 3, but labeled page 2. I had to use "current page" to get the 2nd page labeled p. 1 to print if I wasn't printing the whole document.

Also, when printing and telling it "odd pages" or "even pages", due to the previous, I thought it…

  12. Acrobat on Mac currently doesn't update through the CC app like all other Adobe apps do. I'm attaching a screenshot of a pop up message I've seen a couple of times over the years where I've gone to restart my Mac to be informed that without my knowledge, Acrobat was installing in the background and I couldn't restart. When pressed for a deadline this was especially unappreciated but further, I do like to have control of when and what gets updated.

I’ve taken the steps of turning off the auto update within the Acrobat settings, however, the application is a…

  13. I frequently get the attached error message when selecting Save As PDF in Microsoft Word. It says that the path of the document is too long and to please save to a path with fewer than 255 characters. I believe there is an ancient limit in older versions of Windows that has been eliminated, but this bug still exists in Acrobat.

I am running the latest version of Acrobat under Windows 10 with the latest version of Word from Microsoft 365.

The workaround is to simply print the file to the Adobe PDF printer, but it would be nice to…

  14. When exporting to eps (may be other formats too) from a multi-page document, you have to manually go into settings and define the page number (in the format of a range) that you want to export. Ironically, it automatically populates the page # of # based on the page you're already on. If you don't define a page, regardless of what page you're on, it will export the 1st page. Should default to exporting the page you're on in the pdf.

  15. Managing employee work hours can be challenging, especially with remote and hybrid teams. Workstatus clock in and out apps simplify this process by allowing employees to log their time easily from any device. These apps include features like GPS tracking and geofencing to confirm employee locations, helping to reduce errors and prevent time fraud. Facial recognition adds an extra layer of security by verifying the identity of the person clocking in. Managers benefit from real-time attendance updates, making it easier to oversee workforce activity and ensure accurate payroll. By linking time tracking with productivity and project management tools,…

  16. Really, like less than a week? And it wouldn’t even open the .pdf I needed to read. I had to go get some off-brand software to get the job done. Apparently Adobe isn’t worth the trouble it used to be, and you think I would consider buying. ****, based on this experience, I wouldn’t even recommend to my IT department for them to buy for me.

You have a good day, and update your resumes.

  18. I first generated my pdf with automated bookmarks.
I then added a few pages and gave them bookmarks manually.

When I try to edit these different bookmarks at the same time by selecting them both and right clicking to get the properties window, the program pops up the error message "Adobe has stopped working."

The only way to edit these different bookmarks is by not selecting the different types at the same time.

    OS: Windows 8.1 Enterprise

Expected result: I would like the properties window to open when different bookmark types are selected.

Observed result: The program throws an error …

Thanks for bringing this issue up. We do not have any plans to work on it in immediate future,we might revisit at an appropriate time in future, and would update you regarding the same.

    1. Combine files into a Binder always FORCES the default to be filename sequence.
The User should NOT be forced to move HUNDREDS of files in a large document
just to get them in the proper sequence.

Yes, there is the "Move Up/Down" option which works on each file ONE AT A TIME.
However, has anyone on the Acrobat team actually tried to do that to resequence
over 1,000 pages into an absolutely different non-alpha result??? THINK DAYS !!!!
