  1. Copying from PDFs in Acrobat DC occasionally crashes InDesign

    This doesn't happen all the time but it's enough to be annoying and it doesn't just happen on one of our Macs in the studio. When copying out of either comments or text in the PDF itself, InDesign which has a document we want to copy into open, crashes. It's not the active application, Acrobat is but once CMD + C is pressed to copy from Acrobat, that's the moment that InDesign crashes.

  2. Add or Remove Handles in Draw Cloud Tool

    Occasionally when using the Draw Cloud tool (under Drawing Markups) I find the need to delete a superfluous handle, or add a handle. I would like to do this without the need of deleting the existing cloud drawing and starting over again.

    For example, let's say I selected the tool and began plotting points. These drawings are often polygons with many segments, taking a bit of time and care to construct. As the tool connects the points it leaves a handle to mark the last point, until I complete the drawing by clicking the beginning handle.

  3. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available

    I have filled up a form using Foxit Reader. When I tried to open the form with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC I got error "The document enabled extended features in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document".

    I tried some other PDF programs, no issue when opening this form.

  4. Display navigation pane by default

    We still desperately need to be able to show the navigation bar by default. I understand that certain features of it may not be available due to settings in the PDF. I use this program to view 99% of the time and it's a real hassle clicking around every time, to show the thumbnails.

    Every rudimentary viewer allows thumbnails to be shown by default and I believe previous versions of Acrobat did as well.

    Please allow this navigation pane and the selected tab to be sticky.

  5. PATH AND FILE NAME INSERT OPTION

    I would like to see a feature added to Acrobat that would allow Acrobat to stamp the path (location) and name of the document which was created. I am attaching an example of a document created with a different program in which the feature is highlighted..

    It would also be great if that stamp would adjust and change as the document is renamed, moved or received and saved by the receiving party.

  7. make duplicate digital signature fields

    Whenever a digital signature field is added, we do not get the option to duplicate it. This would be very helpful in cases where same person has to sign on multiple pages in a document.
    At present, it is giving the option to duplicate across pages, however, it is not working nor it is giving any error message.
    Please include this feature in Acrobat, or grey out the duplicate across pages option.

    Different color option is available by using the color picker to change the color of the Pen.
    The color picker is available in the tool bar. Please try that and let us know if that works for you.

  9. Set a default location when saving or opening files

    It would be great if we could manage the default location of the directory that adobe auto opens to save a file to. And for opening previously saved files as well.

  10. Out of Memory Error/Draw Error

    I am running Adobe Acrobat DC on a Windows 7 machine with 16GB of RAM and an NVidia NVS 310 Graphics Card. I have no issues regarding visual display or memory with other software. When running Adobe Acrobat DC, I frequently encounter issues where the file/program crashes, giving an error that it is Out of Memory or encountering a Draw Error. This has happened while reading multiple different PDF files, usually after I have been scrolling through the file for a short time.   11. Use printer default setting for double-sided printing

    Currently Adobe Acrobat DC does not recognise if the default printer setting on my mac has been set to duplex. There is a work around. By pressing the printer button and selecting 'duplex' from the print dialogue box that is revealed, pdfs can be printed double sided (DC warns against doing this by the way). The trouble is that it is easy to forget to follow this process, particularly when I am in a hurry, with the result that pdfs, in my case often 20 or 30 pages documents, are printed single sided.   12. digital signatures

    Acrobat DC Pro hides the 'digital signature' field unless you follow a very convoluted series of steps to find it. Recommend ALWAYS having the digital signature option available. Also, recommend disambiguating between 'signature' 'initial' and 'digital signature' fields. Conceptually very similar. Functionally very different.

    To use Digital Signature on Acrobat/Reader, if you have a signature field present on the pdf, you still can click on the document field and it would initiate the digital signature workflow. This functionality is still present in Acrobat DC. If you want to draw a signature on the pdf outside a signature box, please go to Tools—Certificates—Digitally Sign. That would enable you to draw a box on the pdf for the signature.

  13. Inability to file pdf files in alphabetical order

    I have recently upgraded my Mac operating system to Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.1. Since doing this, I am unable to use the Mac Finder in alphabetical order to drag and drop / file pdf's from Adobe Acrobat Pro onto my Mac flash storage (the folders are no longer in alphabetical order and are displayed in a random mixed order). The same applies when you print to pdf and then try and file on Finder.

    Hi,
    How files/folder are sorted in any finder window is solely the business of your operating system and not Actobat. Are you facing this just with Adobe PDFs?

  14. Comments 'check boxes' saving/showing for other users viewing PDF file

    When 'ticking off' comments that have been actioned on a PDF, when saved, those ticked check boxes don't show if someone else opens the PDF.

    Please can the check box state be saved also, so all users can see what has been actioned (and save us all a lot of time going over amends!)

  15. Form properties does not hold calulations

    It is not an idea, it is a bug.

    When I open two exact same PDF files, one that has been created 2 months ago with formula to insert the current dat, calculate prices and costs, and a freshly created PDF to include the exact same calculations to the exact same named fields, I cannot get one single calculation to stick. Neither when adding them via hand, nor via export and import function.   16. Export PDF as InDesign file

    We often receive multi-page PDFs of publications initially created in InDesign with a request for updates. In order to make these updates flexibly, we would have to recreate the document indesign and then make the updates.

    I seams reasonable to ask Adobe, to create a functionality, where one can convert or export PDF (generated from InDesign document) to .indd InDesign file format.

  18. How to show CSS gradient background from HTML to PDF using Acrobat?

    We want to create a PDF file from local HTML files.

    It can show gradient background if we save PDF by using printing function in browser.

    However, It doesn't works when created in Acrobat.

    We don't want to use printing function to create all PDF files, due to there are many pages waited to be converted.

    The gradient background are written in CSS.

    Could we have a solution?

  19. Program crashes when trying to use Highlighter or Stamp feature.

    Some bug in my Acrobat Pro DC prevents me from using the Highlighter feature. Click on the button, go to text to highlight and program crashes. See attached doc for the crash report. Same kind of thing when I try to use the Stamp feature. Click on Stamp, go the the Standard Business, click the VOID stamp, go to doc and program crashes. See doc2 for the crash report. What can I do?

  20. Drag and drop in Organize is broken

    Whose stupid idea was it to make drag and drop also copy pages when in the organize pages tool? And then why doesn’t ctrl z undo that copy and reselect the pages? This is literally how everything else works.

    But somehow a slight slip in this program means I need to close the file, don’t save and reselect 200 pages again to delete them because of this.

    We tried with several files and dragging does not copy the pages.
    Is it specific to some files or is there a defined way to replicate it?
    If file specific, can you please share the files with us?

    This would help us investigate faster.
