Erase Inside/Outside Selected AreaIn addition to just an eraser, I have found it very useful to select an area and either erase inside or outside the area. I use this a lot in Nuance's Paperport. I too work with old documents and newspapers. Erase outside comes in handy to clean up staples, tears, smudges, etc. on the borders. Erase inside comes in handy to clean up sections of a document or unwanted newspaper articles near the desired article. 3 votes

Help on highlighting fieldsI have a fillable .pdf and needed help to turn on the field highlights. Searching for 'show fillable fields' was not useful on your tutorials and help pages, the switch is buried in the preferences menu.
 1) Simple, direct answers to simple questions!
 2) This switch should be easier to find, placed somewhere in a View menu. Uh, might I suggest 'View Fillable Fields'?1 voteYou can try searching “highlight” as keyword in the RHP and select the option easily without going to Preferences. Please ensure that the PDF is form. Thank You for sharing a suggestion.

Make Pan Tool Pan AgainA number of people continue to think it's a "bug" rather than a "feature" that the pan tool selects images & text by default in Acrobat DC. And they ought to be right, this is not a desirable feature for a pan tool, vice a select tool. In fact, it's why you have a select tool in the first place: to select images & text. Pan tools PAN, as allow you to navigate through the document by clicking & dragging. This feature is literally defeated by having it select images and text when you click & drag. As such, it… 6 votes

Fill and sign does not pull up saved signature imageI was previously able to sign documents using a saved image via the fill and sign feature. I have now installed DC and when i open the fill and sign feature, I am able to add text to a PDF document but when i click the 'Sign' button, my saved signature images do not load. The box which is supposed to contain the signature images shows up but there is no content in it. This is happening with multiple docs. I was able to use this feature without any trouble until a few days back. 5 votesHi, Thanks for reporting the issue. Can you please provide us some more details : 1. Please make sure you are on the latest version of Acrobat. To check go to Help > Check for Updates.
 2. Are you observing a blank Sign drop down in Fill and Sign app?
 3. Are you able to use the Adobe Sign application?
 4. Can you please try signing out and then signing in to Acrobat?
 5. Are you under some network/firewall restrictions? If yes, can you please disable them and try again.Regards,

Autofill subject line in EmailI have just installed Adobe on a new PC and it no longer fills in the subject line in my EMail. This is most frustrating as all the previous versions of Adobe Reader that i have used have done this automatically, with the name of the File I'm sending. Filling in the subject line in a 100 plus Accounts Emails is a non trivial exercise, as i use the Subject line as a sorting mechanism and it needs to be entered identically every time for each client. 5 votes

Acrobat DC toolbutton appears as black square until you minimize/restore the Application windowUse 'Open' to add an Enfocus PitStop toolset. It appears in the right-side ribbon with the 'Active' icon. Click on this icon => it changes into a black square.
When using 'Add' to add the same toolset, it appears using the 'Inactive' icon, clicking it makes it Active but it is not showing the 'Active' icon.3 votes

PDF to Excel ConversionI need to convert some bank statements into excel. However, the conversion is highly distorted, across various cells, and almost unusable. Sharing the attached sample. Do you have a solution that you can share. I have tried, online links and conversion of these files work fine there, But because of security issues, I need a trusted software and hence trying to use Adobe. 1 vote

Add comments to PDFs in Microsoft Teams (or OneDrive or Dropbox)Working in Microsoft Teams it is needed to be able to make comments in the same PDF-file (online) like we can do in Word and Excel-files, so the team can see each others comments, and add their comments in the same PDF (without having to download and upload, which will result in several PDFs, and will not be very efficient). 33 votes

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC issues: slow scrolling - failed saving - document not foundIf you type here before login/signing, once you do it, all typed text is wiped out. Really frustrating. Now, the other Acrobat bugs: Adobe Acrobat Pro DC issues: slow scrolling - failed saving - document not found. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20069 and previous ones on macOS has some issues, which have been around for ages. They are really frustrating:

Link option while combining PDF's into one PDFCan Adobe make a feature that allows you to insert and link PDF files (pages) into one PDF (Set) while maintaining the link back to the original file. So if the original file is updated so is the (Set) PDF in the same way images are Linked and updated in Indesign. Would be a massive help with 2D part drawings for creating a drawing set during revisions. 2 votes

Create Multiple Radio buttons for each groupUnder the prepare form function, users should be allowed to create multiple radio buttons with a single function rather than creating one radio button at a time for each group. Say I have 100 questions and each question has 4 choices meaning it has 4 radio buttons, that is 400 radio buttons that i have to manually create. It is tedious and painful. There has to be a faster way to do this. This should also provide an option whether the layout of the radio buttons is vertical or horizontal. 3 votes

Cropping multiple files with action wizard causes crashI set up a simple action to crop files to some specific measurements. These are magazine pages, so all need the same crop. The action wizard manages about 10 files and then crashes. When it crashes it corrupts the file it was currently working on, so I have to generate that one again for the next attempt. As our magazine has up to 600 pages, this is a huge problem. It seems to happen every time I try. I am on a Mac running the latest Mojave version. 1 vote

"Ignore Future Errors" checkbox is Ignored on Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20091 on MacI attempted to run the "Recognize Text In This File" command on a file with digital signatures and received a random "This operation is not permitted" error (see screenshot) which may in itself be a bug. But then I checked "Ignore future errors in this document" and hit OK, and received the same popup, with the "Ignore future errors" box checked, for each subsequent error in the document until it reached the last page. I thought this was strange. macOS Mojave version 10.14.2 (18C54) Acrobat version 2019.010.20091
