  2. Default settings don't apply even after confirmation and restarting the program.

For example: my preferred setting is (single page continuous) and (fit width); yet every time I open a new document, it rebounds to the previous factory settings and not to my custom adjustments; albeit, in the settings, it shows that my recent changes are still as is.

  3. I used to be able to have thumbnails show up every time I open a .pdf. I open very large file all the time, so it's very nice to be able to set thumbnails to be visible as a default instead of having to request it with each new document

  4. Create a setting in Preferences that defaults to:
View | Show | Navigation Panes | Page Thumbnails
so that thumbnails ALWAYS appear in the navigation pane and are never hidden unless done manually.

We already support this with the “Pinning of navigation pane” feature. i.e. to open any Navigation Pane by default for all the documents in the LHP.
This is how you can try this out:

    1) Launch any PDF and Expand the Panel that you want the acrobat to open by default for every document(For Ex. Page Thumbnails)
    2) Right click on the LHP Navigation strip , Select the option from the context menu “Pin Page thumbnails” .
    3) now try out by launching any other pdf → You will observe that the Page thumbnails panel would appear expanded by default on launch (If document does not have any other document specific preference )

This Feature is applicable to DC and Classic 2017 track (not available in Classic 2015)

    Thanks

  5. Allow senders of Send & Track personal invitations to create a closing signature block or a letterhead that includes the senders contact info (such as sender's name, company name, street address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address, website address) within the e-mail. It's time-consuming to type the same info every time I send the invitations.

  7. Due to a recent update, Adobe Sign now instantly skips past the screen where previously I could edit the subject and email content of the outgoing message to request signatures on a document. I fill in the email address, then the screen I'm referring to instantly flashes and disappears. This makes it impossible to request signatures with anything other than the default Adobe default subject and message content. This is clearly a bug. I'm running MacOS 12.3.1 and Acrobat DC current continuous build version.

  10. It should be clear with the countless posts of users wanting the default to be the Hand Tool and others wanting the default to be the Selection Tool.

In both cases, there has been countless work arounds and fixes to make it work one way or another. Since this latest update none of the fixes appear to be working now and it seems everyone is forced into having Selection as the default.

Simple feature request - have a Preference setting to select your default tool - Hand/Pan or Arrow/Select.

  12. It would be useful in Preferences to turn on Show Rulers & Guides by Default. At present you have to go to "View / Show/hide / Rulers & Grids" for every new PDF that you open.

Right status is Implemented. Resolved is used when we resolve an issue with help, educating the user, providing workaround etc. Actual work from our side in this case – hence Implemented.

  13. The Select Tool is the default tool. I never use it and have never seen a need to use it. It makes the screen turn blue and wants to select things instead of letting me drag and move around the page to review large documents. I always have to stop what I'm doing and switch to the hand tool. I am opening and managing easily over 100 PDFs a day and having to switch at every new document is frustrating and time consuming. Adding this as an option would save so much time for users that need this as their …

  14. The default unit setting for a fresh installation or a new updated version of Acrobat is always on Inches. even though my system is set to metric and I'm in Europe.

It would be great if Acrobat would choose a default unit that fits the system settings or regional standard.

  15. Send & Track on documentcloud.adobe.com allowed sharing an item BEFORE uploading it. This was extremely useful for 2 reasons: Multiple files share all at once; Didn't have to wait for an upload to finish before sharing. The new Upload File function requires waiting for a giant upload to finish before you can share it. This is no better than DropBox which is much easier to use than Send File.

You can do the following steps to get the desired result.
    1) Open a pdf
    2) Right click and go to document properties.
    3) click on initial view tab
    4) Select desired values from the drop-down for ‘Page lyaout’ & ‘Navigation tab’.

  17. Bug. I am unable to attach and send pdf documents from Adobe using the default email application (Microsoft Outlook) from my Windows 10 PC even though it is set up in the default applications.

  18. Adobe's default line spacing is set to 1.20, which is uncommon in documents. Single spacing (1.0) would be much more useful. Because I can't change the default, I have to continually change the line spacing from 1.2 to 1, which is annoying and time consuming. Please update the software so that the user can select the default line spacing.

  20. In the Preferences, under "Page Display", under "Default Layout and Zoom", under "zoom", your option of "Fit Page" doesn't work. This "Fit page" option is synonymous with the "Fit Height" option that is available through the Acrobat interface. This default option should open all PDF files as one-page per screen. This option used to work in the previous version of Acrobat, but the new version has a bug.
Please fix the BUG. The Fit Page default option doesn't work.
