1. Acrobat crashes on malformed PDF from Apple Preview macOS X 10.14.2: stray /Pg keys in tagged PDF

   This bug report was submitted to Apple on 2019-01-17 (Apple bug iD 47350683). As it has masssive impact on user experience in Acrobat (unable to save / save as, regardless whether anything was edited in Acrobat; crashing when opening or having open the Tags panel) I am sharing this here:

   Summary:
   When saving out a tagged PDF opened in Preview, Preview/Quartz seems to rewrite the whole PDF structure and - while doing so - messes up the data structures below the StructTreeRoot entry in the Catalog dictionary. For leaf objects inside the StructTreeRoot tree structure, a "Pg" entry is required that points to the page on which that structure element is present. On the node elements inside the StructTreeRoot tree structure, the "Pg" entry is not useful (entries below a node could be on more than one page). Preview/Quartz injects a "Pg" entry under all those nodes, with the associated indirect object ID having non-existing values (in the instances I checked very large numbers, e.g. "3918973936" where 26 would be the largest indirect object ID number in the PDF).

   The big issue is that such PDFs can possibly not be used anymore in other widely used tools, such as Acrobat Pro DC (Acrobat cannot "save as" nor apply changes with/to the PDF; this will possibly impact a very large number of users). I have not yet tested with other PDF reading or editing applications. Also, there is currently no known mechanism to fix such broken PDFs.

   Steps to Reproduce:
   - takle any tagged PDF
   - open in Preview
   - "Export as PDF..."
   - save to disk
   - possible effects:
   - - open Acrobat, open Tags panel, -> Acrobat crashes immediately
   - - inspect using a low level PDF inspection tool, look for entries in node elements under StructTreeRoot, find "Pg" entries - which should not be present

   Expected Results:
   - no "Pg" entries injected in node elements under StructTreeRoot

   Actual Results:
   - "Pg" entries are injected in all node elements undr StructTreeRoot

   Version/Build:
   macOS Version 10.14.2 (Build 18C54) Quartz PDFContext

   Configuration:
   not applicable

   Steps needed tro make Acrobat viewer deal with such broken PDFs: make sure that it does not stumble over stray /Pg entries (and absurd indirect object numbers)

3. Grouping and locking objects

   Add an ability to group/ungroup objects so they can be selected and manipulated together.

   Add an ability to lock/unlock objects and groups so they won't be selected until you command "Unlock all".

   Same as in most vector drawing programs since 1990x!!

4. I had my works all stolen out of Kindle/CreateSpace. I want a .pdf which drops quality with each transfer.

   For my final book upload to online distribution sites, I would like a lossy file PDF. That's so that if someone steals my works, with each computer transfer of the file they make, they lose quality. And that means when they print my book, or sell it online, they get a garbage file.

7. my acrobat pro license is not recognized

   i have a legacy device license and all other apps work. Acrobat is the only app that has stopped working and is stuck in trial mode.

8. Select Multiple E-mail Addresses into ONE E-mail

   If a document has multiple contacts listed, and therefore multiple e-mail addresses listed, it would be nice to be able to select more than one address and have it go into the same e-mail. This feature would have to work with common e-mail providers of course. For example, I have Outlook. A PDF has multiple e-mail addresses. I would like to be able to pick and choose who to send an e-mail to, and have it open in one e-mail with my chosen people in the "To." If I click the hyperlink for their address, it opens a new e-mail for each of them. It'd be nice if it could somehow combine them. I hope that makes sense. Thank you.

9. Bug: MS Visual C++ Runtime Error when launching Adobe Acrobat DC

   OS: Windows 7 Enterprise ServicePack 1
   Acrobat version: Adobe Acrobat Standard DC 2015 release (Classic) | Version 2015.006.30457
   Issue Description:
   When launching Adobe Acrobat DC, it will pop-up an error right away as the attachment.
   Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
   Runtme Error!
   Program: C:....
   R6030 - CRT not initialized

   Troubleshooting:
   I found the error is caused by Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable 12.0.40660.0 x64
   When it's installed, it will overwrite msvcp120.dll & msvcr120.dll under c:\windows\syswow64

   Workaround:
   overwrite msvcp120.dll & msvcr120.dll under c:\windows\syswow64
   with Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable 12.00.21005.1 x64

   Please advise if there's any patch or newer version can fix this issue, thanks.

10. Unable to get or publish comments to Adobe Shared Review PDF on SharePoint 365

    Unable to get or publish comments to Adobe Shared Review PDF on SharePoint 365 with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

    Details:
    I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20064

    When I open Shared Review PDFs hosted on SharePoint 365 I see the message:

    • Could not get new comments. Adobe Acrobat did not get a response from the server.

    • Adobe Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server: 13.107.136.9

    This appears to be the same error and message other users are reporting since October 2018 when setting up new Shared Review PDFs using SharePoint & Adobe Acrobat DC. Any updates on this would be much appreciated.

    The system lets me create the Adobe Shared Review PDF with SharePoint no problem. As soon as I exit the PDF and attempt to reopen the Shared Review PDF then I see the messages about being unable to connect to the server to retrieve comments.

    "Could not get new comments. Adobe Acrobat did not get a resposne from teh server. Try again later of contact your system adminsitrator". If there was an option to manually try again or re-enter SharePoint server credentials (name/password) that may be helpful.

11. Reading Order Tool and Highlighting Content is Inaccessible to Screen Reader Users

    Bug: The Reading Order Tool, and / or Highlighting content in a PDF document for tagging is inaccessible.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Using Acrobat Pro DC 2019 under Windows 7 / 8 / 10, open an untagged PDF for which you do not have the source file.
    2. Preferably, launch a screen reader such as NVDA (http://www.nvaccess.org) or JAWS 2019 (www.freedomscientific.com)
    3. Attempt to begin tagging portions of the document. For most people, this is done using the reading order tool found in the accessibility tools.
    4. Once in the reading order tool, attempt to select any type of content. This can be text, a figure, a list item, a table cell etc. Note: DO NOT USE THE MOUSE TO HIGHLIGHT CONTENT. Screen reader users are unable to use the mouse, so keyboard commands are necessary in order for this process to be accessible for everyone.
    5. Notice that there are no keyboard commands to highlight content. I have been unable to successfully highlight content using strictly the keyboard.

    Note that I am using the reading order tool as an example, because it seems to be the quickest way to highlight content and then tag it all in one place. If there are alternative ways to highlight content that are fully keyboard accessible, please let me know about these alternative methods. I have created a forum post discussing these accessibility pitfalls. Please refer to https://forums.adobe.com/message/10892018#10892018 for the brief discussion about these issues.

    Environment: Windows 10, NVDA 2018.4.1 and JAWS 2019, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019

12. BUG: Your text box text formating tool covers up document. Please move it OUT OF THE WINDOW. You keep reducing Acrobat's functionality.

    Please stop floating menus over document content. This covers up important information. Your most recent flop: When adding a text box, the font menu covers up the same box and one cannot edit it. Stop this nonsense. Acrobat keeps deteriorating with each "upgrade" since 2005. If you attend a entry level web programming class at a good university, you can learn how to design efficient user interfaces. Tell that your incopmetent manager.

13. Auto Tag a Single Page

    Acrobat's new Autotag utility re-tags the entire document.

    Sometimes most of the PDF is fine and I just need to correct one page or a portion of content that I've selected.

    But we can't do that: right now, it's all or nothing.

    Give us the option to autotag the entire document, a single page, or the content we have selected with our cursor. Keep the other tags that are already in the PDF.

14. Keyboard Shortcut for "Find Tag"

    Need a keyboard shortcut when working in the Tags Panel to Find Tag From Selection.

    This utility is used a bazillion times a day by those who must make accessible PDFs.

16. Using "Compare Page Range" and input "New File Dialog" crash.

    1. Open Acrobat Pro DC
    2. Open File A.pdf and B/pdf
    3. Select "Compare Files"
    4. Open "Select Files to Compare", and push Settings button
    5. Open Setting dialog, input New File combo box
    6. Freeze Acrobat

18. ACROBAT DOES NOT WORK WITH MOJAVE.....END OF STORY

    Acrobat does not work with Mojave...and I do not think it ever will. Adobe need to refund a portion of the subscription and stop blowing smoke....

    Adobe Acrobat 11.x or other older versions Out Of Memory and insufficient data for an image issue

20. Scanning with scanner interface needs one click

    If Acrobat is to replace PDF generating software, scanning with the native scanner interface needs to be one click - it now is at least 3 clicks - adding this to the customizable menus previously requested would be great.
