Increase TEXT size of measurements, in Measuring Tool
There is no option to increase the text size of a measurement!
Would like to send someone a pdf with measurements however I'm pretty sure they won't be able to see it. On a fit-to-page screen, the measurement text looks so small, that it seems like a continuation of the red line. The person receiving this won't always be proficient, they might not realize what the red line is unless the measurement can be clearly seen.7 votes -

Cannot edit file as a form due to security settings
Have spent about 8 hours remediated a form to make it accessible and now my final version (I have saved 14 versions during editing) will suddenly not allow me to edit the form fields or even enter the "Prepare form" tool. When I open this doc, I immediately get a message that "cannot reflow this page because it contains interactive annotations. Auto resize bounding box to contents for Callout and Text Box comments
When marking up PDFs, some clients want text to be immediately visible "on the page," i.e., in Callouts and Text Boxes vs. added with the less easy to see Insert Text at Cursor or Replace Text functions. Sometimes the text I need to add is just a single comma or hyphen, but the default bounding box size is much larger, and resizing these by hand is time-consuming. "box" around highlighted text cannot be removed; once a section of text is highlighted the text is "separated" from the rest of the text and cannot be "normalized" even if the color is removed using the properties function

"Make Hand tool select text & images" doesn't work on Acrobat DC 64-bit
Acrobat DC 64-bit, version 2022.001.20169.
Windows 11 Pro, 10.0.22000 Build 22000 (Updated on 2022-07-25)Bug: The "Make Hand tool select text & images" option doesn't work on Acrobat DC 64-bit. In Hand tool mode, it can't select text and images.
Steps to reproduce the bug:
1) Turn on the option "Make Hand tool select text & images".
2) Change to Hand tool and try to select text in any simple PDF file.Expected result: Can select text
Observed result: Can't select text as in Acrobat DC 32-bit.

Stop automatic text recognition when editing a file
Text recognition should be its own function and not start automatically when opening the Edit tool.

Edit text on template
When I want to change text on an existing template I currently have to upload a new template and start from scratch to add fields, etc. It would be very helpful to be able to edit existing text on the template, similar to Adobe Acrobat.

Date field not working properly when Polish user interface is set.
Date field not working in Polish Acrobat Reader DC, Acrobat Pro 2020, Acrobat Pro DC and probably many others similar to those mentioned here. Calendar does not pop up after clicking on date field when Polish UI is set. When user interface language is set to English date field works properly. Even months names and week days names are translated in Polish.

Recognize text in selected pages/thumbnails
I want to open the thumbnail view, select the pages that need OCR, and then have the ability to right click and select an option like "Recognize text in selected pages."
I work with a lot of files that have scanned images scattered among hundreds or thousands of pages that don't require text recognition; I want to select only the pages that require text recognition and apply OCR to those pages without having to keep updating the OCR page rage. Difficulty getting form to calculate
If there was a refresh button maybe that would help. As it is now, I have to get into to Form setup and back out again, or keep on clicking on various fields until the correct values show up.

Place image ability in fillable save-enabled PDF form via READER, not edit via Pro
Place image (click field, browse for image, image selected, fit with options to Fit Proportional to Image and Fit proportional to frame) in fillable, save-enabled PDF form via READER, not edit via Pro. This is to allow end users to place a logo in a standardized form (sponsorships, partnerships, etc). To limit this to Pro as a layout option only is such a waste.

Wrap redaction overlay text
When redacting within a document, if the redaction space is to small to show all of the overlay text associated with the redaction code, the overlay text is cut off. The request is to wrap the text within the redaction area to show all of the code text.

Users should be able to drag and drop text boxes (full of text) to combine them.
When editing previously created PDFs, the user should be able to drag a text box full of text over another to combine them. The user should be prompted as to how the text should be joined. Options should include append at the end, insert at the beginning, and insert at the selected point. This should be able to be done across different pages and perhaps between documents.

Acrobat text-edit comment functionality improvements needed
1) In the old comment pane, there was text that accompanied each entry identifying it as an underline, strikethrough, replacement, or insert. Now, the text identifier is gone and we only have an arcane symbol. This is awful. I work with clients who are less familiar with Acrobat and this only makes it more difficult for them to understand the nature of my comments. Please bring back the text labels that identify comment pane entries as underlines, strikethroughs, replacements, or inserts.

Edit default text (color, font, size) for Measure Tool
The measurement tool lacks any ability to change the text font, size, and color for measurement labels, the default is not sufficient especially because it tends to glitch and turn from an Ariel type font to a very spaced out Courier font which is not convenient for measuring small distances, the perimeter and area measure tool should also enable text callouts.

Please allow the quick tool bar to be moved to the top or bottom so it doesn't cover data on the document.
Since we can only move the toolbar from the left to right, it blocks data on the document. Please allow it to be moved from top to bottom also.
