  1. Active tab display

    When there are multiple PDFs open, it is difficult to tell which one is the active tab. I suggest a Preference option to use a different color for the active tab or have Acrobat do this by default; I doubt anyone would complain.

  2. Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes when I use the keyboard when QuickBooks is open

    Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes when I use the keyboard when QuickBooks is open. I'm using Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2024.002.20687, 64-bit; Windows 10 on a PC; and QuickBooks Enterprise 23.0. When I hit any key, I get an error box titled "Windows - Entry Point Not Found", with the message "Exception Processing Message -xc0000139 - Unexpected parameters". When I click the "OK" button on the error message, the same error message reappears. The only way to get rid of the error message is to go into the Task Manager, select Reader, and end that task.

  3. Bug: Save as not working: "The File may be read-only, or another user may have it open.

    Unable to "save-as," export, or e-sign a PDF document.

    Error message when trying to export as another PDF file type, or as another PDF with normal "save as":

    "The File may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

    I am using Acrobat 9 Pro on a Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6.

  4. Load Google Contacts only Once (for Sharing PDF's Faster)

    I set up my Acrobat DC to use my Google Contacts as default contacts when sharing PDF's. I have around 1,000 Google Contacts.

    Each time I press the contacts search button to select contacts with whom to share a PDF, Acrobat loads and parses all the contacts. It is slow.

    Instead, load the contacts once. Allow some method (a button?) for re-loading if the user (me) thinks the data needs to be refreshed.

  5. STOP Surreptitiously Installing McAfee on Automatic Update

    While the fact that Adobe provides McAfee security for free as part of Acrobat is nice for those that want it, those of us that don't should not be forced to have it installed. Personally I hate McAfee. I use a different company for my computer/internet security and it's expensive, so when McAfee self-downloads and declares itself the default security system on my computer it makes me very unhappy.

  6. No way to correct OCR errors in Acrobat pro DC

    There is a major problem with OCR in Acrobat Pro CD. I have recognized (OCR) text in many documents. They still contain a lot of recognition errors in the hidden text used for search. When I try to use the function/tool "Correct Recognized text" (translated from Norwegian), I get a message saying that there are no suspected errors. It is not possible to correct the remaining errors. This is just stupid, there is no 100% correct OCR program, there are lots of errors in the recognized text.   7. No AI, Add Favorite Tools Option

    The Home menu is terrible, and continues to get more and more cluttered with every update.

    First, why does my "Recommended tools for you" list, default to AI every time I open this app, and I have to click an arrow to the next page with the actual tools. I am so sick of companies shoving "time saving" AI down my throat that actually just ends up wasting my time.

  9. Using Hebrew to fill a form crashes acrobat

    When filling out a PDF form in Hebrew it crashes.

    The good news is that I found a fix: If I change the first field in the form to right to left (it is left to right by default) It does not crash anymore.

  10. Acrobat Output Preview panel behavior change: Simulation Profile changed appearance, now values

    If I change the Simulation Preview profile in the Output Preview panel, it used to be that I would see my color simulated as if it printed/displayed in the other environment. Now, however, it's actually changing the color values to keep the same appearance. This is a bad idea. We need a way to turn this off or at least toggle it.

    I'm currently seeing this behavior in the 2024 version. I'm not sure with which version this changed.

  11. Unable to get or publish comments to Adobe Shared Review PDF on SharePoint 365

    Unable to get or publish comments to Adobe Shared Review PDF on SharePoint 365 with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

    Details:
    I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20064

    When I open Shared Review PDFs hosted on SharePoint 365 I see the message:

    • Could not get new comments. Adobe Acrobat did not get a response from the server.

    • Adobe Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server: 13.107.136.9

  12. Does being signed in to Adobe Scan count as a PC installation for Adobe DC license?

    I get a "limit reached" message when installing DC on home PC. The "limit reached" message says my email has been used to activate the software on 2 computers.

    I'm signed into DC on my office PC and nowhere else that I can tell.

    I’m signed into Adobe Scan app on my phone but I don’t have DC installed on my phone.

  13. Acrobat Pro DC refuses to install on a Case Sensitive macOS install

    Why is it impossible to install Acrobat Pro (or any other Adobe product) on a Mac using a case-sensitive file system? There is no reason for this, and Adobe software is the only software I have ever seen that has this issue. It does not make any sense.

    Before you suggest it, NO, I will NOT reformat my disk. Telling people that they have to wipe their computer in order for your software to work is not acceptable. We pay a lot of money for your products and should be receiving decent support.

  14. Custom Comment Status Tags

    It would be nice if users can create and manage custom status tags. Often when I'm addressing comments I use the status tags for organizing which comments I've addressed and how I address them. I turn them on and off to keep track of which one's I've addressed. For the most part they are usually accepted or rejected, but sometimes there are some that should be addressed by someone else, some that require further clarification, some that I simply want to put on the back-burner but don't want to see when I filter out comments that have not been addressed,…

  15. Make giant annoying window go away. I don't want it. EVER. Especially when PDFs are closed. It dominates my desktop, makes me hate Adobe.

    Make the giant splash screen close when documents close. Also make it default to a SMALLER size if I have resized it in a previous session. Stop making your software overbearing.

  16. Can't save file

    When I review a downloaded file or make changes to a document and go to save the file I get a blank "Save as PDF" window that never completes loading. If I use [ctrl][s] to save the file I get a message that I don't have write privileges for the document. The program worked fine until yesterday.

  17. dynamic zoom and scrolling defaults

    You should be able to set defaults for zooming and scrolling preferences that would apply for all documents so that you do not have to repeatedly do so for every pdf document you open.

  18. Create a default selection for "Pages to Print" selections: ie "Current page"

    In my process of lien searches when I scan the completed documents, to prepare for the return e-mail to the customer, it is easier to scan all 20 - 40 items at the same time. Then I select each customer's document from the multiple scan and label the new pdf with the customer's name and search #. It would be expeditious to be able to have the "Current Page" selected without having to return the mouse to select it for each new pfd.

  19. make duplicate digital signature fields

    Whenever a digital signature field is added, we do not get the option to duplicate it. This would be very helpful in cases where same person has to sign on multiple pages in a document.
    At present, it is giving the option to duplicate across pages, however, it is not working nor it is giving any error message.
    Please include this feature in Acrobat, or grey out the duplicate across pages option.

  20. save files

    File Save as should default to last saved folder NOT recent folders list so I have to constantly select the folder every time. Big hassle. Please fix.
