1. Random disappearance of paragraphs of text in pdf output

   Pdfs created from Microsoft Word using Acrobat PDFMaker sometimes omit entire paragraphs of text. This has been happening sporadically and unpredictably since the Sept 14 update. Pdf output has become unreliable. In all but one instance among the cases detected, the paragraph that disappears is adjacent to a graphic object--either a line or an image. The missing text is not being covered up by any other object; the text is actually not present in the pdf. A few very inconvenient workarounds are available if the omission is detected: (1) Re-create the affected page by itself instead of outputting the entire document. In this instance, the single page is not missing any text as it was when all pages of the document were output as a single multipage pdf. Then swap the single, intact page in to replace the incomplete page in the original pdf. (2) In MS Word, insert a blank paragraph at the location of the paragraph that is disappearing in the pdf. The empty paragraph is formatted to have a 1 point linespace, so it is not noticeable. Recreate the pdf, and the paragraph omitted is now the newly inserted blank paragraph, so the result represents all the meaningful content in the document. I am working to get approval to submit actual work samples that demonstrate the problem. The problem is difficult to reproduce in a contrived example document. 4. Changing form field size distorts text

   When I have form fields that I created and that are filled in, I can't change the field size or shape without it distorting the text completely. I have to drag it to distort, hit undo, then do it again. The first size change screws up the text, but the second time does not. It's very aggravating when I need to adjust numerous text box sizes and have to do everything twice to avoid stretching the text.

   Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with.You can do so using the link -helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product..

   Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.

   Also, can you “Check for Updates” and re-test the issue with latest version.

   If this still doesn’t resolve the issue, please share the test file and a video of the issue via

   Confirm that the problem does not occur in AcrobatReader DC 2010.012.20034 under Windows 7 environment.
   It is possible to paste into the password input field copied from Notepad.
   Confirm that the problem does not occur if you downgrade to Acrobat Reader DC 2010.010.20064 in the environment where the phenomenon was confirmed.

6. Cut and Paste is glitchy.

   Copy/Cut and paste is not working properly in PDF document. Whenever I copy text from anywhere (Word/another PDF/internet, etc.) and try to paste it into a PDF document field, it does not work. I am able to copy/cut and paste the text everywhere else except a PDF document. I used to be able to do this easily and have noticed this issue for a few months now. Copy/cut may work once (I am able to copy and past text one time on PDF document) but after that, the text copied, especially text copied from a PDF document itself will not copy/cut and allow paste. It is frustrating.

7. Thumbs down to the new interface

   I'm sure the new features are very powerful and an improvement over the previous version; however, swapping the entire interface from left to right feels like an affectation by the visual design team. For one thing, moving the save, print, etc., functions from the left side of the window to the right means that now Adobe is backwards from every other design or word processing program out there. Yes, Google did this as well and I still hate it, so no points to you for trying to copy them. Having the tools on the right side was consistent with your other programs like Photoshop - I haven't opened photoshop recently so I don't know if that has changed also. Either way, it's distracting to have the tools feel like they're in the primary position on the left side of the window rather than having the document be the priority. I do like the new signature tool, allowing me to sign documents in fewer steps. But it should be on the right side! Having the floating toolbar hoover over the left side of the document also feels strange, as once again the left side of the document will always be more text heavy as we are a left-to-right culture, whereas the right side of the document often has more negative space. Just my initial thoughts on the new interface. Not a fan.

8. Distiller: moveto the currentpoint results in a continuation of current sub-path, not a new sub-path

   In Distiller XI Pro 11.0.20 (28.03.2017), distill the following:

9. Drop down list excel

   I would like to be able to copy a list from excel and then add that to a drop down list in adobe. Many of us work with large blocks of data in excel and it would be nice to copy and paste a dropdown list from excel into adobe instead of adding each item one at a time

11. Glyphs get messed up after running preflight profile

    This is not an Idea, but a very bad bug. When processing the attached PDF using the preflight profile
    Sheet Offset CMYK (GWG 2015), the glpyhs are randomly placed on the pages, rendering the PDF unusable.

12. Characters missing / garbled after preflighting outlined PDF

    When converting certain outlined PDFs to PDF/X using the Preflight tool, in the resulting PDF many characters are missing (already on screen, before printing). This makes the Preflight tool unusable.

    1. Open cmyk-14-input.pdf
    2. Use print production -> Preflight -> PDF/X -> Convert to PDF/X-4 (Coated FOGRA39) or any other of the PDF/X profiles or use the "Standards" tab with "Apply corrections" checkbox enabled.
    3. The resulting PDF is completely destroyed (see cmyk-14-output_audit.pdf)

    Environment: Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat 23.1.20174.0
    Expected result: An output visually similar to the input cmyk-14-input.pdf
    Observed result: A garbled output like cmyk-14-output_audit.pdf

    Some observations:
    * This does only happen with outlined text, not embedded/subset fonts.
    * This happens regardless of whether the input document is in RGB (see rgb*.pdf), CMYK or already adheres to some PDF/X standard.
    * This does not seem to happen on the last page, i.e. one-page-documents are fine.
    * With the other pages, something seems to go wrong with the colorspaces of the individual pages.
    * This does not happen if the "Convert Color" fixup is manually disabled (Edit profile -> Summary -> Create customizable profile -> Custom fixups -> untick checkbox "Enable fixup" for "Convert colors" (see result cmyk-14-output-no-convert-coloraudit.pdf). This is even weirder since this also helps for CMYK/FOGRA39L documents, where the Convert colors fixup is allegedly not even executed (according to the list of applied fixups in the Results view, see cmyk-14-outputreport.pdf).

13. text missing while Printing on Mac

    I'm using a Mac OS, when I try to print some pdf with Adobe Acrobat, some Chinese characters become empty.
    I have contacted with adobe agent, they cannot fix this well, they want to me to print as an image, but I don't think it's a solution. I can print well before.
    I don't know why I cannot upload the screenshot, it shows "could not identify image size"

14. crashing on share or e-mail; can't access contacts

    The software is so incredibly buggy - any attempt to share makes the software crash. Cannot share files saved in document cloud or elsewhere, share via e-mail (with outlook Mac) causes crash, share via document cloud causes crash, attempts to access address book to share via native adobe app causes crash. Why can't I just drag files stored in the document cloud into an e-mail or message - this is the easiest way to share. Share/collaboration is literally unusable in acrobat DC - WHY?! Our entire team may have to move away from the entire Adobe platform if this is not resolved. All of our software and our OSX is FULLY updated.

    As admin assigning licenses to users could I also have the ability to Carbon Copy when sending out the "invitation with instructions"?

    Managers would like to be CC when the invite goes out to new users.

16. Multiple error messages

    I'm getting errors when reading PDFs. All different sizes, all different sources.

    "There was an error processing a page. There was a problem reading this document (109)."

    "A number is out of range."

    "There was an error while reading a stream."

    "Please wait while the document is being prepared for reading."

    "Out of memory."

    It's a brand new Windows 10 machine with 8GB of RAM. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. How do I fix this issue? The program is essentially unusable at this point.

18. When sending a document for multiple signatures, I would like to be able to assign certain signees edit access to the document. That

That way they don't have to decline the document and then I would have to resend the document all over again. Then everyone would receive the final copy when everyone signs.

19. Redact Doesn't Work

    When selecting "redact" a pop up shows but it is completely blank. Redact tool is unusable. I updated the entire program, shut it down and restarted the program, and even restarted the whole computer. I am running version 2024.005.20421

20. Content editing

    Hi all,

    can any of you tell me how to set Photoshop as the default for opening images from Acrobat Pro DC (macOS Monterey)?

    Whenever I click on an image under "Edit PDF" with the "Edit" tool, the preview is displayed in the "Edit with" submenu. When I say "open with" I can select Photoshop. However, I would like to use Photoshop as the default here so that I don't always have to select the programme under "Open with".

    I had actually remembered that I could set this in the settings under the item "Touch up". Unfortunately, this menu item no longer exists in the settings. What I do find is "Content editing". There I selected Photoshop as the default editor for the "Edit object" tool. Unfortunately, this did not have the effect I had hoped for.
