  1. When you start Adobe Acrobat Pro without local adminstrative rights a error message appears.(see attachment)
    We identified the corresponding command line with procmon: "C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe" /i {AC76BA86-1033-FFFF-7760-0C0F074E4100} REINSTALLMODE=omus DISABLEFIUCHECK=1 IGNOREAAM=1 REPAIRFROMAPP=1 INSTALLUWPAPP=1 /qn"

We deployed the "Creative Cloud Client" as a "Self-Serivce-Packages", so licensed Users can install and use adobe products without local administrative rights.

Could you please check why msiexec.exe is called with every program start? We get a lot of tickets from users complaining about this error message and your support wasnt a help at all.

  2. Microsoft Edge overwrites the default pdf program no matter how many times you change it back. You cannot even delete Edge to get it to stop doing it. Microsoft denied that it is possible for their program to change my default app without my permission when I contacted their tech support. Adobe should sue Microsoft. This is very frustrating, especially when you paid for the program and Microsoft can do this without your permission.

  3. Change default open screen to Tools Tab Adobe DC Pro.

I would like to be able to open Adobe DC Pro and it already be on the Tools tab instead of the Home tab.

I think this could be accomplished by having this as setting to give users a choice.

  4. Rather than re-ordering and re-arranging pdfs within a combined file, I would like to be able to determine the order files are compiled. This can be by file title (alphabetically) or others. Right now when I combine several files into one pdf, they are scrambled out of order and I have to rearrange manually which can be cumbersome for larger compilations.

  5. There should be a default setting to hide pages and bookmarks when I open a document. I don't use the functions and don't find them useful. I shouldn't need to close these panels every time I open a document. I don't care what the document properties are.

  7. When sending a document to be signed, the Message used to display as 'Please review and complete this document. Now it just shows as Message and you need to manually add in the message every time a document is sent to be signed. This is when using Adobe Acrobat Cloud.

  8. Open PDF – note that Acrobat DC reports one comment in sidebar on right of window.

This is on Acrobat Pro DC, up-to-date (version 2021.001.20155), Running on MacOS Catalina (v.10.15.7). Comments were made on Acrobat Reader DC for PC, (version 2021.001.20138)

Expected result – should display the amount of total comments in the PDF.

Observed result – only displays comments once those pages are navigated to or scrolled past.

This has been reproducible on multiple versions of MacOS

  9. a lot of us use the stamp tool frequently, it is very cumbersome, needs to do many clicks to stamp for each page.
let the user choose a default stamp to use repeatedly with one click only. other PDF software can do it. such as PDF-X change editor. I am sure The King- -acrobat DC pro should able to do it.

  10. have been using Adobe Send and Track with Office 2013 with no issue. However, I few months back our company has upgraded our office suite to the 2016 version. Since then the outlook plugin has been having all sorts of issues and is not working correctly.

The reason for the upgrade to 2016 is because Microsoft no longer supports 2013 versions. Does anyone have a resolution to why it does not work with the 2016 version. Is adobe aware of this issue? On the website it states that it is only compatible with 2013, but the upgrade is necessary. Since…

  11. Make a reliable way for users to set a default for either the "pan" or "text selection" tools. You will see both issues have been raised in online help forums and suggested on this platform.

I use Acrobat mostly for reading documents. I am so tired of inadvertantly highlighting text or selecting images every time I left click and drag the mouse in an effort to pan because the system defaults to the Select tool rather than the Pan tool.

YES - I have deselected "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" under Accessibility.

    YES - I have selected "Make…

  12. I make ADA Accessible documents. Inherit Zoom is a necessary thing.

When I need to combine multiple pdf files into one document I often create a narrative that includes links to other pages of that document. I back up those links with bookmarks.

While it's quite easy to change all of the bookmark actions at once to Inherit Zoom, it's not so easy to change the links.

Currently each link action must be edited individually. And each Zoom is set to custom. There is considerable time taken to adjust each one, especially when I have 50 to 200 links in…

    Hi,

We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (20.012.20041) is Live now and this takes care of this Feature Request

For more Info refer here : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html

The Set Default Bookmark Zoom Level menu item is now added to the PDF bookmark options. While creating a new bookmark, you can easily use this option to set the default zoom level. By default, the Inherit Zoom option is selected.

Also, Acrobat now provides an option in the bookmark properties to retain the destination page number when you adjust the zoom level of multiple bookmarks.

Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  13. My default brower on both of my W10 and W11 PCs is Chrome. When I click Manage My Account in W10 it opens Chrome. When I click Manage My Account in W11 it opens Edge, even though I have chosen Chrome in every possible default switch available. There is nothing in the Adobe Preferences that allows me to manage this. I read on one forum that I need to edit my registry entries for Adobe Browser settings. This is entirely unacceptable. I pay for this product. I expect it to use my default browser, period. No one should be expected…

  14. Link Option
when created a hyperlink for a page view option and selected a page from another pdf and saved, the default option to open the hyperlink when clicked is set to "Windows set by user prefrence". There should be an option to set it to any option available there.
All the other parameters are saved as per the last saved prefrences, only this doesnt change.
Hope you would look in to this and do the needful and its the best PDF software.

  15. I love the Adobe Send & Track plug-in for Outlook 2016 on the PC. I was just informed by someone from Adobe that this feature is not available on Macs. Could you please look into developing this feature for Macs at some point? Thank you.

  16. On the new Acrobat, there is no setting to change the default for this. It defaults to ON at all times. I am a legal professional, and this would be a big improvement for me. Users who regularly navigate long PDFs of hundreds of pages or more would benefit from having this setting OFF when opening documents, instead of having to disable it every time. As a side note, to my mind, a selection available from the current settings SHOULD achieve this, but currently does not - see attached. There is currently no difference that I can discern between…

  17. As a postgraduate student I have many readings, usually in the form of journal articles, almost always PDFs that I am given. The content is quite in depth and sometimes I am not always able to fully read content in one sitting. When I turn my PC off and reopen the files I currently have to use an external method to keep track of where I was. Sometimes this can be quite laborious and confusing.

I would like a feature that enables me to for example, drag a progress bar down to the section I've read, that automatically saves for…

  18. The Acrobat Save As window exists mostly to ask whether to save locally or to a cloud location. Since I don't use cloud storage for active documents, that's a useless window for me. I imagine maybe some others only use cloud storage. So I have a suggestion to save time for many of us.

Please allow the user to set a Preference for a default file storage domain (local or cloud, and (if cloud) which cloud service). Then skip the current Acrobat Save As window and jump directly to the native Save As window for the default domain. That would…

  19. When we share for review, the sender message option is causing duplication of email notifications.

Even if we do not input anything into the sender message when we share a file, a generic message is added into the email notification that is sent to all recipients, and then 30 seconds later, that generic message is added automatically as a comment to the shared file. The comment generates 2nd email notification that is going out to all recipients letting them know there is a comment added to the link. So for every shared file, each recipient gets two emails back-to-back.

    Is…
