  1. I want to add text over an image many times. Every time I do it, I need to resize the text box. Can't we get the boxes to fit the text? There's a simple option in Word to this....?

  2. Steps to reproduce:
    Close and re-open Adobe Acrobat. Issue observed after most recent version update. Issue occurs if the Tools Pane isn't shown when Adobe Acrobat starts (View > Show/Hide > Tools Pane).

    Environment:
    Windows 10 and Windows 7
    Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017

    Expected result:
    Third party quick tool should display based on settings in the Customize Quick Tools options menu.

    Observed result:
    Third party quick tool missing until the Tools Pane is opened.

    It was Implemented so keeping it that way. Resolved may not necessarily mean Implemented.

    1. Open a PDF document with Arabic content.

    2. This PDF was generated from InDesign CC2017. Arabic fonts used is a good True Type and OpenType fonts. Macintosh 10.11.2 / Acrobat DC Build: 15.23.20056.213124

    3. When exporting to MS Office format, we expect to have a decent conversion as we see with PDFs that has English content.

    4. I opened resulted Word document in MS. Word on Windows, Text Edit on Mac, Apple Preview. The result varies, but generally Arabic text doesn't convert properly, most words scrambled and fragmented.

  3. Using keyboard shortcuts [CTRL C], [CTRL P] & [CTRL V] does not work intermittently. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

  4. Add a feature to the Add Text function in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC so that a user can choose Opaque for a text box and avoid a Background image being visible through the text box. Also, the user should be able to choose a solid color to appear behind the text in the text box. This feature is so basic that it should have been in the product from the start. Photoshop Elements has had it for a long time!

  5. If I am working for several hours in acrobat dc, the organize feature will show only blank pages... no content. I have to close the program and restart it to view the images. It will work for about 20-30 minutes and then do the same thing. UGH.

    Sorry for such a delayed response on this and for the trouble you were going through.
    I tried using the tool with several files and could not see the issue.
    Can you please try upgrading your Acrobat to the latest version and see if that resolves the issue for you.

    If not, can you please share the file(s) where this happens.
    This would help us in investigating the issue faster.

  6. Acrobat crashes when copying text -- no error message appears, application just closes. Document is fairly large (~1000 pages), created in Adobe FrameMaker. Acrobat only crashes if document is tagged -- if all tagging is removed, we are able to copy text easily.

  7. On a Mac in Default Mode, it should be possible to copy highlighted text by using the keyboard shortcut.

    Now, all you can do is select the highlighted parts and right-click -> Copy Text. Why shouldn't it be possible to select the highlighted parts and press Cmd+C?

    Doing the extra clicking work is very labor intensive when working with a lot of previously highlighted paragraphs.

    1. Sign in to https://account.adobe.com/plans.
    2. Click Manage plan or View plan.
    3. In Billing history, select either:

      • to view a PDF of your invoice
      • to send a copy to your email address.
    4. To print the invoice, do one of the following:

      • Select the PDF viewer’s Print icon.
      • Choose File > Print in your browser.

  8. When a edited PDF file is printed it produces fined printed dots in the back ground. I scan up paper docs to a PDF file for editing and the pages I edit produce dots in back ground when printed while pages not edited have a normal white clean background on paper when printed. I cant attach a file to show this bec it only appears on hard copy printing.. I have never seen this fault even on editing Microsoft Word docs

Working in Microsoft Teams it is needed to be able to make comments in the same PDF-file (online) like we can do in Word and Excel-files, so the team can see each others comments, and add their comments in the same PDF (without having to download and upload, which will result in several PDFs, and will not be very efficient).

  10. STEPS TO REPRODUCE

    • Install Acrobat DC on Windows 11 using Creative Cloud client.
    • Open PDF
    • Go to Print production tools.
    • Click Preflight

    ENVIRONMENT

    • Windows 11 64-bit.
    • Have tried physical machine and virtual, Windows Pro and Home, Service pack 1000.22638.1000.0 and 1000.22636.1000.0.

    EXPECTED RESULT

    • Preflight window opens, listing various preflight options & profiles.

    OBSERVED RESULT

    • Preflight window (without profiles) opens in background, but is immediately followed by an error message: "Unable to copy the user specific preferences:" and an OK button. Clicking the OK button closes the Preflight window.
    • Trying repeatedly to open the Preflight panel eventually leads to an empty…

  11. Search in Acrobat causes unbounded increases in memory usage.

    Observed result: each search allocates additional memory and that memory remains allocate until I close the file in which the search was run or close and re-start Acrobat.

    Expected result: after a search is closed, the memory allocation returns to what it was before the search ran.

    Expected result: each successive search does NOT result in additional memory being allocated.

    Expected result: when files are closed, all memory allocated by acrobat should be released.

    Expected result: Acrobat should not produce an "Out of memory" error at…

  12. The Image pdf get started OCR mode automatically when we pick the Text tool (T) in the Acrobat DC, this OCR should be impact the original scanned pages, sometimes we unable to find out it had OCR when it is in the fit page view, because it is seems like as image.

  13. Redo or actually create an editor which can be used.... Your * editor cannot even consistently work with text which was written.
    I copy paste text i written minute ago, and you "editor" doesnt even can keep same formating.
    It doesnt even slightly use same spacing or width, each zoom or unzoom means all text or pictures or scales go out of the window... WYSIWYG joke, nothing you edit actually is same when saved or copy or use somewhere else.

    Why company should pay lot of money for something like this, how you can even ask such money for this...

  14. Closing a comment with the Esc key deletes text entered into the comment.

    Details:

    System: Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit Build 19042
    OS-Language: German
    Application Language: German
    Acrobat DC / Acrobat Reader DC Version: 2022.001.20142

    Steps to reproduce

    1. Open PDF; PDF:X4 created with InDesign CC 2022 (17.3) using placeholder text generated by InDesign
    2. Open commenting toolbar
    3. Select text or place cursor
    4. Start writing ("lorem ipsum")
    5. Hit "Esc" key

    Expected Result: Comment gets closed and text input is saved

    Actual Result: Comment gets closed and only the first keystroke ("l") is saved

    The same error can be observed for all…

  15. Last week's update was the worst of all (apart from the one to upgrade to the DC version). We work on macOS Ventura, Acrobat version 2023.006.20320. There's no scroll bar, you can't see your selections when you zoom in, it's like working blind. Pitstop tools are unusable. You have to cancel this update, go back. It's as if you don't care about the people who work with your applications, without taking their opinions into account. You never respond to feedback. Please cancel the last update!!!!

  16. Currently, Adobe Acrobat pro DC only allows you to save two signatures. This is supposed to be one signature and one image of your initials. However, for families with multiple people living in them it's often necessary to sign documents with multiple signatures. Please adjust your product to allow for more signatures to be created for use in signing pdfs. Thank you.

  17. I'd like to request enabling the "Arrange Objects" button so that it can be used with Markup Objects (shapes & lines).

    It would be nice to "send to back" or "bring to front" on any object.

    Currently I have to:
    Copy an existing object
    Delete the existing object
    Paste a new copy of the object
    Re-align where that object should be

    This works ok if you want it in front but not easy to move it to back.

    Please enable this action button to be used with all objects.
